Everyone should experience these kolaches made from a cloud of heaven and not to mention the workers are the owners of this heaven. But seriously these kolaches are great! People are great! Service is great! From my personal experience Victor and Niña are amazing, thank y’all for making your customers feel welcomed.

My main issue with this place is both times I’ve been here they’re out of almost everything. It’s very much a first world problem, but it agitates me when a restaurant can’t keep food in stock because it’s like — what else are you here for? On top of that, when the food did finally come out, I was not all that impressed with either the bacon and egg kolache or the sausage and jalapeño kolache. Being a native Austin resident, I’ve been spoiled for years by Lone Star Bakery’s kolaches and these just didn’t hit the spot for me. If you want a next-level kolache, venture up the street and around the corner to Sol Y Luna and try their sausage, jalapeño and cheese kolache — that’s closer to the level of taste and quality that I’m used to.

Always have loved kolaches. Was getting some Starbucks before work and saw this restaurant right by so I decided I would pop in and see what they had. Got two kolaches the chorizo and egg and the ham and cheese. Both of them were delicious and I’m so happy I decided to give this place a try. Definitely going back!

Coming here I feel starved for good kolaches, the freshness of the dough, the creative choices, everything is wonderful and fairly priced. I loved the ham and cheese, it was such a pleasant surprise.

Always greeted by a lovely atmosphere, delectable food, and an ever-pleasant staff of helpful people. I have recommended, and would continue to recommend this lovely place. If your in the area, don’t hesitate to stop on by!(They have absolutely wonderful kolaches all around for breakfast, and lunch, but my absolute favorite is attributed to my sweet tooth, and that’s the nutella kolache!)

The kolache stop is a smallish breakfast/lunch reastaurant that specializes in my favorite type of food– meat incased in bread. I sampled a meatball kolache, a bacon and cheese kolache, and a sausage and cheese kolache. These were all delicious! The meatball kolache was like a meatball sub, but easier to eat, and the others were your standard kolaches– about palm size and heated in a microwave prior to being served. The prices are reasonable and there is quite the variety of kolaches — only complaint I have is that they aren’t all available for breakfast. They staff was friendly, maybe a tad shy, but still nice to myself and family when we visited. I look forward to coming back and trying new types of kolaches! Something I would love to see is maybe a call ahead-have the food taken to your car type service, which would make this stop more appealing for early mornings heading to work.

Friendly staff working the counter. Great selection of kolaches that tasted very fresh. Delicious and filling. Recommend the omelet or bacon and cheese. Both very savory.

This was our first and last visit! The five of us stopped in on Wednesday to grab a quick lunch and we all purchased the #2 Lunch Specials which included two kolache’s, a bag of chips and a drink. Our total came to over $ 30, which wasn’t an issue… it was good. Here’s the problem: When we arrived it wasn’t very busy but they were mainly sold out of kolache’s. I told the cashier that we all wanted the number 2 lunch specials and she asked which ones, then proceeded to bag them. After bagging up all five orders she ran my card and I thought we were done. As I was finished with my transaction and proceeded to grab a few napkins she made a rude comment to me! She stated that they normally don’t allow breakfast kolache’s as a lunch item and she won’t allow it next time,(she had an attitude!). If she had an issue with this, and if this is store policy she should have stated it as I was attempting to place our orders. We would have gladly taken our business and money elsewhere! I feel that she didn’t handle the situation properly and due to her attitude we will not return! Customer service ranks very high on my list and I won’t tolerate rude employees!

3.25 stars. I’m a sucker for jalapeño, cheese and sausage kolaches and these are probably slightly better than the ones you find at Shipley’s and a step below Bucee’s in New Braunfels. I’d like to expand my choices and try some of their«lunch» kolaches, but I wasn’t too thrilled with a ham, cheese, and ranchero sauce«breakfast» kolache. Maybe this is one of those places where you find the one you like and order it in perpetuity. They also have a few other items, and their cookies looked really good. I might try one on my next visit.

Great indoor/outdoor atmosphere. Very reasonable and filling. Kolaches $ 1.35+ Coffee $ 1.60 Very clean and hygienic. Nice staff and the owner is very engaging and friendly. San Antonio labels legit kolache shops but this place doesn’t disappoint. Lucky for my husband because I’m over nine months pregnant and would have made him drive to Austin for my kolache craving.

My favorite is the BLT. Bread is fresh and fluffy we drive all the way from the other side of town to get these kolaches! So good!

Mom and I tried out this hidden gem. I had the bacon, egg and cheese. I ate two… I could have eaten more. However, two filled me up just right. The ones I ate were the size of a small tennis ball stuffed full. Next time I will try the plain sausage and go down the list. Will return as the kolaches are good. Customer service was good too. I mentioned it was our first time and the woman behind the counter took her time to explain all the various options. Mom got a cream cheese to try as everything looked good. I could eat these plain with nothing inside. That’s how delish these are. If taking to go they will ask if you want them warmed or you can warm them at your convenience. The American blend coffee was good as well. I’d recommend trying it’s definitely worth it.

easy to find and so many choices. i’ve had a few kolaches in my time and really enjoyed these. got the egg, sausage and cheese and the other one was bacon and cheese. liked the sausage more than the bacon. the bread was a tad crunchy which i liked and the cashier automatically heated them up for me. will be back.

Was passing through on my way to CA from NJ. I never had a kolache before. These were fantastic. Huge fan of the chicken and green chile. Really great coffee as well.

Ok this place is wow. Also feels like some sort of best kept secret. Fantastic coffee! Freshly roasted and grounded Arabica Columbian dark roast coffee slow drip brew. Better than what any Keurig could offer you. Their Kolaches are holy shit good! Personal favorites are the pepperoni kolache, pulled pork kolache, sausage egg jalapeño kolache, and the nutella kolache-danish. Hypothetically, if I was on a «f***-my-diet-shameless-binge-eating-marathon» nutella kolache and the apricot creamcheese kolache would be my weapons of choice. They have a number of fruit+creamcheese or — creamcheese assortments. I chose Apricot and had like 12 of them so i can lie to myself that Ive had a healthy serving of fruit for the day. I come here almost every Saturday as my cheat day, but recently have found my self coming here during the week cheating my cheat day. I also have never seen grown-ass men, with their children let lose to run around, excitedly approaching the register star struck and ready to make their usual box selection. Its the look of a parent where this is clearly the highest point of their day. I dont have any kids, but i think thats a pretty good compliment on the establishment when they can provide a mental euphoric escape from raising your kids.

I’m going to keep this simple. This is my favorite place to get breakfast in San Antonio. They have fresh kolaches and will not skimp on the meat. Their dough is like heaven — soft and sweet. I don’t particularly enjoy the jam filled ones, however, if you do decide to come I would 100% recommend the following: Polish(a medium/large sausage — not spicy, but wonderfully salty and juicy) Meatball(they put TWOBIG meatballs in one kolache!) Pulled Pork Barbeque Beef All of those are great choices. The breakfast options are good too but not as filling(they are cheaper however). TRYIT! It’s great, clean, and the employees are always SO friendly! I love coming here :)

Kolache Stop is crazy good! Coming from The east coast, this is the closest thing to a pepperoni ball that I’ve found in SATX. They have great costumer service and the food is always delicious! It’s a must try!

I’m not a Kolache expert and I don’t claim to be, especially I never heard of Kolache until I got to TX. Anyways, the only other Kolaches I had were from Shipley, and to me, Kolache is just a hot dog in a bun, nothing special about it. However, one of my coworker is a big fan of Kolache and to celebrate her work anniversary, I decided to get our team a dozen Kolache and this is the only place that is close to me(about 7 miles) that isn’t Shipley. I got 6 Sausage/Cheese, and 6 Sausage/Cheese/Jalapeño. The girl worked the front is friendly and fast, and even told me how to heat it up(15 secs for individual, and 1 min for the entire box). As for the Kolache, instead of the wiener dogs like from Shipley, it is a real sausage with flavors, and it tasted great, super yummy. I have to say, I’m glad my coworker insisted getting Kolache, or else I would never had try the real thing.

It’s important to put out there that San Antonio is seriously lacking kolache options in the town. That being said, I think the reviews are based on a lack of variations. I grew up in Houston and where a taco is to SA, a donut or kolache is to them. You see them on every dang corner. A polish delicacy, the kolache is the staple of breakfast items in South Texas. I ordered the ham and cheese, the sausage and cheese and the eggs, sausage and cheese kolaches. Got a cinnamon roll for the kid. The ham and cheese uses cheddar(usually Swiss), the sausage is a link and not a smaller, little Smokie, and the eggs were decent. But lacking in flavor. Here is my biggest issue. The dough. It seems(my opinion only) that they used the pillsbury biscuit dough, rolled it out and baked it. It lacks the doughy, fluffiness that kolaches are famous for. It should be equal parts meat and dough. Here is meat with a flat dough. If you as the owner are reading this, I highly implore you to start making the dough with a proper yeast. Honey butter goes a long way on the crust too. The cinnamon roll was much better, than the kolaches. This you can tell is freshly made by hand, and the bread is airy with a lovely basting of cinnamon and sugar. 3 star for originality in a town of tacos. But I wouldn’t drive over here to get them again. I can make these myself with pillsbury dough.
