Jd & Victor’s Hair Studio

I have been living in San Antonio for a little over a year now. I live downtown near this salon and have passed it when going to the local Walgreens. I decided I would try and support a local business and made an appointment. I should have taken caution when the first red flag was cash only when I called. Don’t they pay taxes like the rest of us? Or do they charge outrageous prices and pass off as the $ 50 combo. I arrived for my appointment and they had no list of prices. I sat in the chair and was quoted $ 250 for a cut, color and partial hilight. Now this establishment is in the most dangerous area of town. I told the rude stylist I was from San Francisco and I didn’t even pay that in some of the best salons. He promptly told me have a nice day. I asked him about the $ 50 he had advertised and he pointed to a mannequin with a boy cut wig. I guess if he sees money walking in the door he changes his prices. I promptly retuned to my downtown studio and had my cut, color and hilight for $ 180. Do not waste your time. They make up prices as they go and charge based off of how much money they think you have. Save your self the time and go else where.

I went in to JD and Victor’s salon for the $ 50 combo – cut, color and partial highlights. I was beyond impressed with the end results. The color and highlights are fabulous! The staff are friendly and attentive, professional and at the same time you feel like you’ve known them forever. Kim was my stylist and loved her. Se knew exactly what I wanted even though my vision was all over the place. Felicia washed out my hair and helped the time pass by chit chatting to me while I held my breathe when they had to apply the toner. This inside is decorated very nice! I had so much to look at while waiting for the color to set. They offer clients punch and water. For the services they provide, they easily could jack up their prices, but they keep them super affordable and I highly thank them for it! I’m a lifetime client to this salon.
