John James Park lies adjacent to the Salado Creek Greenway. And yet they’ve decided to not connect the park with the Greenway. Bureaucracy at work.
Another great example of bureaucracy at work: the Parks department has placed outdoor exercise equipment in the parks. Wonderful idea. So someone put a fitness walker, a stationary bike, and a cardio-​glider type machine in John James Park — in the middle of the running trail.
