I love huevos rancheros and decided to test them out at Jalpa… I went during the afternoon, everything was perfect about the place, the only thing that bothered me a bit was that we had 2 waitresses and I’m not sure why. The eggs were cooked just the way I liked, although they couldv’e added a little bit more of the ranchero sauce. The potatoes were fried to perfection-they could have added a bit more potatoes on my plate. The beans are really good, they tasted fresh. My husband had bean and cheese tacos… let me say proudly that the tortillas are outstanding! and they were not greedy with the cheese. Prices are outstanding too. So basically my gripes: –The waitress brought me a water with ice and not enough ice, by the time my food arrived all the ice had melted… I had to ask for more ice. –needed more ranchero sauce –needed more potatoes –2 waitresses? leads me to believe that out first waitress was tired and left or simply got tired of waiting on us… so this confused me. So, in the end this is a nice place for mexican brunch. It’s a quiet little place and the people that work there are friendly, what more can you ask for. Plus points: –breakfast served all day –a variety of breakfast tacos –they open early 6:30am –prices are outstanding
