Love this place. I always cone to see Monet, she does an amazing job and is very nice. She listens to what you are looking for and does great color, cuts and styles. Great location and friendly atmosphere.

Go see Monet Antoinette! She does the best color in all of San Antonio. I have been going to her for about 4 years now and I absolutely love her! She is so friendly and down to earth. I wouldn’t want anyone else touching my hair!

You know, I really wanted to like this place. I mean, it’s practically within walking distance, and the prices are hard to say no to. But trusting the neighborhood salon nearly ruined my wedding.
First off, I made an appointment for hair and makeup for my wedding, as well as a trial appointment 2 months in advance. The manager assured me that they could work a deal with me since I had both my mother and my mother in law doing hair and makeup as well.
By chance, I asked them a month before the appointment to confirm, and they told me that they no longer had that employee that does the hair and makeup working there anymore. Unprofessionally, they told me that the person was in the process of going through a transgender procedure and that the hormone was making them crazy… WTF??? None of my business. Well, I was bummed, but I started shopping around.
On another appointment, I was talking with one of the employees and they told me that they hired someone to do hair and makeup. So excited, I re established my appointment. The week before, I called to verify my appointment and they said it’s in the appointment book.
So, let the disaster begin. When I arrived to my appointment, the hair and makeup artist was no where to be found. I waited 15 minutes. Then, he proceeds to tell me that we have only an hour slot to do both hair and makeup… this is my trial run for my WEDDING… and it’s full price!!! He then tells me that, oh on the day of, it will look perfect, the hair will look better, but for now, it’s just to show you how it will sort of look like. Hmmm… Full price, I tell you. Then, his next appointment arrives, so then he disappears. About 20 minutes later, he tells me that someone else will do the makeup and he will come and look at it, so that the day of he will do it exactly the same way. So he walks away.
The other stylist, she is upset and says that she has her own appointments and that she did not know she was going to be doing this today and not to be mad at her. Excuse me, that doesn’t build a lot of confidence.
She asks me if I brought my own makeup. I have only done my makeup professionally once, and I did not bring my own makeup. She did not have any matching colors for my face. She then smears on, cakes on… foundation, and it is clearly a different color than my skin tone. She says that she can’t do this and is going to talk to her manager and proceeds to leave me in the chair.
So, the manager comes by, but not to talk to me, but to «change a lightbulb». He then walks away. I am left there by myself and I can feel the anger rising… What am I doing, a week before my wedding, with millions of errands to do, sitting in this chair with an orange face and hair that is already falling out of the up do?
When I can take it no longer, I go to the front desk, and the supervisor says that the manager left for the day. MotherFUEIK#####!~!! I just saw him!!!
Enter my hero, my husband… I’ve been talking to him on the phone and he knows exactly what is happening… The supervisor tries to charge me half of the original cost… at this point, my up do has totally fallen out and i’m shedding bobby pins…
My 6’0″ infantry army husband tells her, no, my wife will not be paying, and if your «manager» has any problems, I will gladly come back and tell him the reason why…
You know, this is the worst management, worst staff I have ever encountered! I can’t believe that a week before my wedding ceremony, that I had to deal with this!!!
