Infinity Glass & Mirror

Broke window on a Sunday. Called Infinity glass, and they responded quickly. Came out Monday to get specs and estimate. Adam said at this time he would be able to repair that Wednesday or Thursday. Monday the office called and asked for payment (before job done) which I had never done. She said it was because it was a special order. While waiting around these two days we had called for updates after 3pm. The person told us that it would be the next day on Wednesday and the same on Thursday. On Friday, we called Adam, and he said he would be by between 5:30p-6:30p. Then, at 7pm, the woman from company said that the crew was at a job that would take longer and asked if they could come Monday. I stated that would not work out considering we were available the last three days expecting them to come. She said the (other) delay was «weather in Austin that delayed the delivery of the glass». She said Adam will call me to discuss reimbursement. At this point I had no choice. Some cold weather, and rain expected for the weekend. Adam called and said he would arrive between 815−830pm. He called at 845pm saying he would arrive in 25min. I had texted him to please knock and not use doorbell related to kids being asleep. At 920pm the doorbell rang. They were here! Thanks for the doorbell. Adam and the other man went right to work. I must say they were very polite. After removing the broken glass they had accidentally discarded a necessary piece in my trash can. The other man dumped out the trash and glass on my back porch. I had to later vacuum the shards of glass left after at night. I have small children that play in the yard/​porch. It seems the window was placed correctly. No instruction given if I can open immediately. It smells like a glue substance in the living room so we will refrain from testing for a day or two. Truly, the disappointment was communication (us having to call them). The rude person (woman) on the phone. Most importantly the guaranty that it would be done 1 – 2 days before (mentioned numerous times). Also the quote was increased by $ 38.00 within thirty minutes of the quote given initially. I had mentioned this company to a friend at work who needed windows replaced. I will quickly update them, and recommend looking elsewhere.
