A very pleasant place to visit, I went in to get some scrap jewelry appraised and was immediately helped in a courteous manner and in depth explanation of my items worth. I felt I was given a fair deal and treated with respect.

I read some good reviews on this place and decided that my husband and I would stop here first to see what some of our coins were worth. I am very glad we did. They were great and explained our coins and their worth to us. We also showed them some diamond and gold jewelry and felt that the answers we received were accurate. We had a few coins that were from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s, but one coin in particular was worth more than the rest because there was a tiny marking of «cc» on the back. This meant that it was from Carson City, and it was worth $ 200, so more than the rest. I wonder if another coin expert would’ve pointed this out to us and paid us for it… I’m sure they could tell that we didn’t know jack about coin collecting… The coins we had were all inherited… If you want to come to a place where they treat you with respect, are not condescending and snobby(like some of the places I’ve read about), and will pay you a very fair price for your coins and jewelry(sadly, diamonds aren’t worth much these days) this place is honest. They are the place to come to.

Having worked in the coin business before, and being a young collector, I’ve seen all kinds of folks. in the coin business When I visited Harry’s Coins & Jewelry, I knew I had gone to the right place. The transaction was fair, to be sure. He doesn’t try to rip people; he knows it’s better to just stick to a basic profit margin for transactions that adds up over time and not trying to get it all in one shot by offering half or less than the true value for someone’s family collection(a horror I’ve heard and seen too many times). In short, Harry is honest, fair, runs a good shop and treated me with respect even though he had no idea if I’d ever buy or sell another coin in my life. However, I will, and when I do, I’ll go see Harry and his team next time I need to sell or am looking to buy, and I’ll gladly drive out from Kerr County to do it. Nice convenient location on HWY16/Bandera Road at the 410 interchange.
