Not the best pizza I have had. In my opinion it was overpriced. Had a medium much meat pizza. Ordered two drinks. Cost 20 bucks. I would say it was more of a $ 10 pizza at best.

We ordered a pizza almost 2 hours ago. It’s still not here. We called an hour ago and were told she was on the way and would be here in a few minutes. I can only imagine a pizza that left the building an hour ago is probably very cold. Not pleased, and very hungry.

This is probably the most authentic Italian food you could ever eat! The price isn’t bad for the quality of food you get in exchange.

Our go-to place for pizza. Outrageous quality New York style, high slices, thin and crispy! Would be worth it at twice the price. Just wish the one that was nearer our home would have stayed open.

Order was 30 min late and it was cold. Not impressed with my first try at Goombas. I do not know if I will try them again.

Every time I’m in San Antonio this place is a must for lunch. They serve New York style pizza and it tastes great. Their lunch specials are really great — $ 7 gets you two slices the size of your head and a soda. For the healthier crowd, you can get a slice and salad for about the same price. I highly recommend this place and will be back next time in town. Fo’ sho.

I am currently in university hospital and we ordered some Stromboli and a calzone plus some drinks. After 45 minutes we still haven’t gotten our delivery. So I called the restaurant and the girl on the phone told me that the driver have already came and left. I was told that the driver had been waiting in the love for us. We received no phone call, nothing. So now we wait another 20 minutes waiting outside at the main entrance and we finally got our food. I told the driver that you can deliver directly to the patient rooms and a phone call would’ve been nice. Ok, all that mess aside, my Stromboli was actually pretty good. Due to the delivery delay it was not as hot temperature wise as I would have liked. But still, good flavors and good sauce to go with it. We ordered a cannoli for a dessert and it was crazy good. So only four stars for the delivery incompetence. Otherwise, food was great. Would eat there again.

Gave these guys a Blue Plate Award, it’s awesome because you can customize your own pizza! Thank you guys!

Eh, nothing special. The sauce has no flavor but the crust is good. The pizza was lukewarm when it was delivered. The pepperoni rolls were ok with ranch but the spinach rolls weren’t very good. Probably won’t order again.

This place does not know to make a spinach calzone! Spent $ 8 on one that was terribly made. Pizza is okay. Salads are okay yet should have more options of side salads. This place is nothing special and will not order from there again.

Goomba’s Pizza is almost great pizza, though not quite. Recently I ordered a large pie with chicken, being in a famished state(nearly 4pm, without lunch or breakfast). I was super hungry and fully able(and prepared) to devour the whole thing. Yet, when it came down to chow time, I stopped short of eating the entire pie without even being full. What withheld my intentions of binge pizza-eating from reality? Taste was the main factor. The sauce was overly zesty, the cheese overly gooey versus stringy, and the crust… Well the crust was actually pretty good, maybe the best quality of the pizza. But that said, it wasn’t enough to make the pizza either mind-blowing or life-altering. In the end, Goomba’s gets 3.5 stars which I’m rounding up to 4 for a few reasons. The first was the prompt delivery, very appreciated since I was really starving. Maybe I ordered off the peak hours and my experience is not representative of the typical delivery service but whatever. The second reason is more anecdotal, given that the delivery guy had a poodle in the car, driving my miniature dachshunds into complete madness, right in the middle of my business call to big whigs in NYC. Both dachshunds ran into the street and were barking up a storm at the poor poodle, forcing me to complete the pizza transaction in a hurry, toss the pizza inside the house, and then run dramatically through the streets after the wayward dachshunds that fled from me for fear of a scolding – all of this happening mind you, with my blackberry in hand and the call on speakerphone. Thank God for the«mute» feature, because that was a disaster. But also, that was something I’ll never forget, so Goomba’s pizza gets 4-stars, if not for the pizza, for timely delivery and good memories. Next time I face hunger in the belly and want pizza without the take-away drive, Goomba’s will be on speed dial.

The pizza isn’t anything to call him! e about. Crust was overdone and hard. Needed a little more sauce, and cheese. We order a small pizza and a salad. It took almost an hour to get to us, and was delivered Luke warm to cold. The driver was apologetic citing that he was slammed with deliveries. The salad was good. I won’t be ordering delivery from here again. I will try them at their location to see if its any better.

Ordered from Eat24. Oh how I love you. Bottom line — its just ok and a little inconsistent. Got a few things so we could really get a feel for this place. Do yourself a favor, if y ou are going to order from here try the spinach roll ups. Really delicious and cheesy. Their marinara dipping sauce is a little sweet but it went nicely with the rolls The Chicken Parm Sandwich was the low point of the meal. It was a piece of frozen breaded chicken with a slice of cheese and bread. If you are going to do that, then one of those elements needs to be amazing — but it wasnt. A chicken parm sammich should be super cheesey and full of sauce. This was dry and bland thing chicken was hard and of poor quality. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was super tasty. Chicken on this one was cooked better and seemed of better quality — maybe i just got a bad piece on the other one. The sauce had a little bit of slow heat and they gave me a little extra on the side. The included a nice ranch on the side that almost tasted like it was fresh made but I couldnt be sure. I actually prefer bleu cheese with buffalo but didnt see it as an option. Not bad, not super amazing but I walked away satisfied and not feeling like i wasted money.

Loved the southside Goombas, but it closed … this one is much nicer and beer specials were great. Will be returning shortly.

Good pizza. Had the spinach roll appetizers. The marinara was awesome. Red pepper, parmesan, salt and pepper on the table. Server was nice. The alfreo chicken pizza was great! House Salad was metiocre… but it is a pizza joint!

Best pizza delivered ever. It was not greasy at all. Thin crust. The Alfredo pizza ingredients tasted fresh and delicious. The Alfredo was a great combination of ingredients as well. They delivered in less than an hour. It was a little pricy for pizza but the quality and taste make it worth it. I’d definitely recommend this place. Also we ordered just a regular pepperoni pizza and it was not greasy as well and just perfect.

We ate here last night and it was just ok. We ordered several things off the menu. The service is not the best and only subpar. The food: we ordered the cheesy garlic sticks and those were pretty awesome; my hubby ordered the calzone and he said it was like something that he could get from the freezer section at the grocery store and they put way too much cheese and not enough meats in it; I ordered a small pepperoni pizza, the dough was flavorless and not very good at all, the toppings were ok and basic, very little sauce and it tasted bland as well; my daughter got the small house salad and it was pre-made in the cooler, she said it was fine but they definitely don’t give you enough dressing for the entire salad. To us they are very overpriced for the food they serve.

People are really nice here and offer fast service. I wAnted to substitute ingredients on my pizza, and they gladly did it. They also have a 10% coupon on Unilocal. I would agree that this is one of the best pizza places we have in town
