It’s a good gym for what it is it’s a little dated and needs to be upgraded. The staff is really nice and the kids club is great but the biggest issue is the lack of televisions there is only a total of five television and this whole place none of the cardio has their own televisions and that their Wi-Fi works maybe half the time. But the place is clean and there’s a good weight and machine selection.

Great gym with older equipment but well maintained. The only reason I give three stars is the gym members here have the worst gym etiquette I’ve ever seen. Be prepared to unrack weights off just about every piece of equipment that your going to use.

This Golds location is bigger, better, and more clean than 1st appearance from the outside. Lots of room, equipment, cardiovascular equipment and weights. Locker rooms are CLEAN along with the sauna, steam room and pool.

I workout just about everyday and while in San Antonio I used this gym to get my exercise in. It’s a very large facility with lots of equipment. The treadmills were nice to get a good run in and they also had good ellipticals. The weight lifting stations were good but not quite as many and the free weight area was a bit too packed with«serious» lifters, even though I consider myself a fitness fanatic.

The back wall is currently under construction and the free weights are scattered around so be careful in there

The good, the bad and the ugly: Good: plenty of machines, variety of weights, treadmills have tv capabilities, no as crowded, child care and cardio classes. Bad: the restrooms are small, sauna could be larger. Ugly: none

I hate to give this Gold’s a low score because I really enjoyed all the classes. The instructors were all fantastic! The facility itself is not too bad, either. I am giving a low rating because the administration is so unorganized. When I first joined, they started by charging the correct credit card I provided them, but then for no reason, started putting the bi-weekly charges on a completely separate account(someone else’s account). They could never give me a straight answer — I asked several times to try to figure out where my charges were going. The different untrained staff members gave me different answers ranging from«you don’t owe anything, you’re current» followed by me getting calls that I was delinquent the next day!!! They treated me as if I was avoiding paying when I was calling every other day trying to give them money! It was ridiculous. It took over a month to resolve. A few months later I went in to cancel my membership. It took 3 months to get them to cancel. Again, they messed up the paperwork or something didn’t go right on their end. But, they never apologized and just acted as if they didn’t do anything wrong. They don’t care about your money or your situation. If you don’t watch them carefully you may get screwed! Be careful! It’s a real shame because they have great class instructors.

Good things: Not crowded. Equipment in good repair. Everything needed for a workout. Bad: Parking lot needs better lighting for the amount of foot traffic out there.

Dirty. Had to switch from this location to the location on Pat Booker in Universal City. This location is a bit older and not as well tended to as it should be. I saw the same paper towels and the empty water bottle in the same spot for 2 weeks before I had to pick them up myself. I got tired of seeing employees walk past them. No leadership here.

This particular Gold’s Gym is a bit on the older, smaller side when compared to the Live Oak location. The clientele is completely different between the two as well. Gold’s Nacogdoches is a gym where people actually work out. I know that there are other gyms in town where people just go to try and hook up. Definitely not here. The equipment is on the older side and some machines squeak so much that it makes you self-conscious. I do like the convenience of this particular location, and the staff is always super cool. A renovation would help.
