Gold Badge Elites Meat-Up!

What an awesome way to see Gloria off to bigger and better things. I like beer, meat, and I love my fellow Elites and Gold Elites. I think Texas de Brazil was a great place to hold San Antonio’s first Gold Badge event. It was awesome to be chilling with a small group of friends that I have met over the past 6 years that I have been using Unilocal.This was a nice private set up; you know that back room in a restaurant where only the cool people go. I felt special; then again all Elite events make me feel special. The food, the drinks, and the company was good. This was Gloria last official Unilocal event before heading out to new adventures. I Will Miss You Gloria! Five Stars for San Antonio’s 1^st Gold Badge Elite Event.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the invite for the first ever GOLD Elite event in San Antonio. I had anticipated this moment for what felt like forever!
Always the wonderful host, Gloria put together another enjoyable evening for us. Unlimited drinks plus what seemed to be never-​ending trays of hors d’oeuvres. The goat cheese & apricot preserve thingamajiggers were the bomb. The Beijos Bar served up some tasty caipirinha. I tried mango, coconut, and passion fruit and at the end of it, I really loved the passion fruit! The peppered sausages were very peppery and since I love pepper, that was no problem for me. The steak: medium rare — perfect!
The best aspect of the evening though was to be able to spend a more intimate time with friends ( Unilocal family) I met in the very small beginnings of S.A. Unilocal who trudged along with me rolling the Unilocal threads and pushing reviews out so we could finally get our own Community Manager! And all the way to the newer folks who’ve made their laid back, cool, & friendly presence known in our local Unilocal crew (and who have also become part of my extended family too!) On a more personal note: Gloria, you’ve done an outstanding job with S.A. Unilocal and I’m really gonna miss you, lady!
P. S. I’m gonna take you up on one of your guest bedrooms…

Loved the intimate setting. Didn’t even know that you could reserve a private room. Definitely need to file that info away for later.
Loved the drinks. Forget the name. But it was limeade + either mango, passion fruit, coconut, or strawberry. I tried them all & enjoyed the strawberry & coconut mixes the best. The cool kids got theirs with alcohol. I’m not that cool.
Loved the steak. The sausage, chicken wrapped in bacon, & hors d’oeuvres were also good. But the chunks of beef were oh so tasty! Will definitely be returning for more in the near future.
Loved the service. Katie and the Texas de Brazil staff kept the drinks and food coming at a brisk pace. Great job!
Loved the parking price = $ 0. Awesome idea having this shindig on a Tuesday so that we could take advantage of the free parking.
Loved the company! Always the best part of these gatherings :) Can’t wait until the next event!

I don’t know why I would think of Souljaboy while walking into such a fancy establishment. J. K. Yes I do… CAUSE GOLD ELITE EVENT. FIRST IN SA.
How did the five year plus’ celebrate? Meat. Trays of meat and booze.
Truly a classy event with beer, wine, cocktails, assigned seating, and intimate talks.
If you like quality cuts of meat… Eating massive quantities buffet style. This is your jam and jelly. I truly enjoyed the strawberry caipirinha, rare cuts of steak served on never-​ending trays, and meeting some of SA’s gold badgers that I rarely get to see out and about.
We’ll miss you Glo!
