Enjoy! Pastries and Deli

5 stars for a bake shop/​deli? Seriously?
Yes, seriously. The limited — but delicious — repertoire of Enjoy! (mentioned prominently in the other reviews — and very reasonably priced, by the way) is but one facet of its wonderful whole.
The staff is as congenial and hospitable as any I’ve found; and in an area like SA where both of these qualities are in abundance, that’s saying a lot.
Even beyond the food and the nice people, however, is the welcoming, homey atmosphere: rather than dining in a restaurant, I feel as if I’m an honored guest in someone’s abode!
Today, I had the special: chicken salad, made with hearty chunks of white meat, on a croissant, served with a perfect pasta salad and tea: a steal at 5.99! Had to try one of their soups, too: tomato basil — wonderfully rich and flavorful. Couldn’t even THINK about dessert, though there were a couple of cheesecakes singing me their siren song from the display case (be patient, my Pretties — I shall return!).
While I am always slightly gleeful to sneak into a good eatery ahead of the crowd, I was shocked and a bit concerned that I was the only diner in this gracious establishment at 12:45 or so. I can’t help but feel that their placement, in a heavily-​occupied strip center perpendicular to Walzem (making them nearly invisible from the road), works against them.
I hope this changes next month when the new YMCA — which will share the parking lot with them — opens. Just so long as I can still find a table, I’ll be happy!
Edit, 1÷23÷2011: Find Enjoy!‘s baked goods at the Windcrest Farmers’ Market on Saturdays!

This place is a hidden gem! All scratch cooking, great sandwiches and soup, and delicious baked goods. This should be jam packed with Rackspace people everyday.
By far best food I have found in Windcrest, and the staff is great.
I had the Cuban sandwich and a cup of Chicken and Sausage gumbo. Can’t wait to try everything on the menu.

I absolutely LOVE this place… the food is amazing and so are the pastries!
I’ve been to this place about 5 or so times now and I’m always blown away by the service. AND of course. the yummy food! The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I often go in during lunch and its so relaxing to spend the lunch hour at Enjoy! The atmosphere is great. down to the quiet dining area, to the art work, and even the music.
My favorite is the chicken pita and pasta salad! I’ll have to work to explore the menu more, but when I go with friends, they always enjoy their selections!
I have to be pretty «good» to not add dessert to my order, but last visit I gave in and indulged in the carrot cake… WOW… DE-​LI-​CIOUS and the perfect size to indulge in a treat without going over board.
I think that I saw that they also cater! Amazing!
