The nail guy at my usual salon wasn’t available, so I decided to try this place for the first time since it’s closer to my house. Upon walking in I got silently stared at… which was awkward but not totally uncommon at nail salons. Once the male employee started going at my nails it hurt immediately. I had little cuts on the tips of some of my fingers moments after the process started and days later I noticed my ring finger on my right hand had cuts and was highly irritated/a tad swollen as well. For a simple fill it cost me $ 40, when at my regular salon it’s $ 30…and they do a much better job. Needless to say I won’t be coming back.

First time to this salon. Staff are very friendly. There are TVs mounted, none of them were on. I can’t honestly say that’s good or bad; just an observation. They also have 2 pedicure chairs for children — that’s cool. Please excuse me, I don’t remember the names of the technicians that worked on me. A guy did my pedi and was very polite and gentle. I got the classic pedicure(basic), which was VERY basic, no frills. My toenails were cut, cleaned, filed, and feet were scrubbed. After the massage, a hot towel was applied. The foot massage was great! Just the right amount of pressure, not rough and painful like some other salons provide. After my toenails were painted he escorted me to the drying station. They offer SNS nail dipping service, so I wanted to try it since no UV lights are used. I really didn’t know what to expect. The female technician who did my manicure was very friendly and pleasant. She removed my shellac polish by scraping the polish with her own nails — that was different. Normally at this point of the manicure process the tech would apply a cuticle softener, push my cuticles back and cut away any dead cuticles, BUT that didn’t happen. She jumped right into the dipping process; and my right thumb nail ended up a little off. Fortunately I’m pretty good about taking care of my hands/nails and can only conclude that she didn’t think I needed it. My experience was good overall, but am not sure that for a basic pedi and nail dipping mani is worth $ 90. I thought that was kinda steep for the service I got. Do you agree?

I went during a slow period. We had the place to ourselves and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They did a great job and she got a kick out of a male’s(mine) color choices for a pedicure. I’ll be back!

From the minute we walked in everyone working here were super friendly! I avoided pedicures for a while due to most places I’d visit would only«clean» the foot bath. But when I saw they used a liner and brand new packaged nail tools I became at ease. They were not busy at all, so the three is us were able to get our pedis at the same time. They have massage chairs and complementary wine and beverages. Their English is comprehensible. This is our new nail place! Would highly recommend!!!

I love this nail salon. The associates go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and are exceedingly efficient. I always get a shellac manicure and do multiple colors and designs, and all I had to do was show a picture from pinterest of what I wanted! I have been to other nail places who look at a picture I show them and ultimately shut what I want down… But the associates always make every effort to make it happen! They are reasonably priced and exceptional in quality of service.

Jackie has done my pedicures and shellac manicure for years! She’s the only one I trust! She recently moved to this location– and it’s under all new management and ownership. Very nice nail salon with friendly staff! You won’t be disappointed!

Just moved here. Tried this place. Close to home. Won’t go back… ever!!! I figure the up keep of salon may signal that it’s not such a good place, but I tried to keep open mind because of recent review. As I sat in the pedi chair, I noticed… the bricks around the little indoor pond are falling off the wall. The pond has no water in it. The lights above the pedi chairs are all off and ½ the bulbs are missing. As far as the service… The nail tech was nice enough, but she seemed rushed and there were only 2 other customers(they were with a tech) … no one was waiting. So rushed in fact… she cut two of my toes while trimming my nails. One is still sore several days later. I’ll try another place next time. This is not a good place.

Custom Nails is my favorite nail salon in Stone Oak. When moving to a new area, it’s hard for me to find a nail salon I actually like. The staff are polite and friendly-the owner is really nice! The place could use a little more TLC(they should finish or re-do the waterfalls on the walls that help separate the manicure and pedicure rooms). I’m picky on how my shellac manicures are done and so far, every technician I’ve used at Custom Nails has done a perfect job. Only negative– They stay pretty during the week and Saturdays. Sundays are the best days to go. They host pedicure specials on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Regular pedi for $ 25 and deluxe pedi for $ 35.

Ouch!!! The technician almost scraped my toe off! He was a little too rough and chunked off a piece of skin from my big toe. He put some blue stuff to make it stop bleeding and took 5 dollars off the price. The place is close to my house but they need to be careful. Don’t recommend this place. I’ve been to others that were less expensive !!!

I thought this place was great. You don’t need an appointment, they were very friendly and did a beautiful job. I will return. Little pricey for a fill, but they are so close to my house, I don’t care.
