Food should be a 3.6, but it’s not conaistant. I gave this place a 1 because of the staff. If what you are looking for is to get talked down to by a teenager when they mess up your order then this is the place to go. Staff in this place couldn’t get worst. I sat down to eat with company and asked one of the girls if someone could wipe down our table(table was sticky with pieces of rides scattered on the table top) and the girl handed me a towel so I could wipe down the table myself. On a different occation a kid on the table next to me spilled a drink, the parents flagged down one of the staff so they could help, the person did help however they made sure to curse loud enough for people to hear. I’ve spaced my visits enough to see if the bad staff cycles thru, and for the most part it does, but it looks like the staff today has no more class than the staff a year ago. Won’t eat here again. You’r better off going to panda express.

Horrible! I ordered a dish you can’t really F@$K UP. Sweet and sour chicken. Soggy, not fried enough, rice was burnt. For 8 bucks not worth it! China harbor is way better and that is crazy! Place sucks! Now I know why my buddy calls it China gross.

Horrible food. they charged me .50 for a styfoam cup to have water. My son had sesame chicken which taste like barbeque chicken. .horrible he didnt eat it, asked for a to go container and they charge for that shit too. I normally do eat in the southside and when i do its crap. The female that took my order gave me an attitude when i asked about the cups fee. Never again… this FOOD sux, not chinese food at all. ill never eat there or anywhere else where a china rose is at. How can this be real chinese food when they are Hispanic guys cooking. I rather eat at WOKINN off Eisenhower rd, or chopsticks off 410. Who charges for take out containers!!! That the first time and LAST time ill eat there. Go else where for chinese…

Oh why WHY do my coworkers think this place is better than Panda Express? I cringe every time they pick this specific location to eat. I can’t comment on the other locations in town as I have never been to them so this review is specifically for the SW Military location only. This is the worse Chinese food I have ever had in San Antonio or anywhere. The place is really dirty and the mens bathroom walls are plastered with sexual innuendo graffiti that the management clearly does not care to remove. If you don’t believe me, see the attached picture I uploaded. Women’s bathroom is probably different. I ordered the lemon chicken and it tasted like tempura battered rubber. The only thing I could finish completely was the eggroll. This is one place I can honestly say doesn’t even deserve one star.

Very cheap and good food. The portions are decent sized. This is definitely not a fancy place, but a good dive place for those who want chinese but not a buffet. The appetizer came out after the main course which was a little strange but I would come here again. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxing so if you are in the area it is worth a stop.

If it’s good Chinese you want at an affordable price and you don’t care for anything fancy, skip Panda Express up the street towards 35 and come here instead. I ordered the orange chicken with 2 egg rolls, steamed rice and a drink and only had to pay about $ 10. You would spend more than that amount at Panda Express.

Everything is dirty! The drinking station is sticky with permanent splatters on the wall. Paint is chipping And restroom smells like something died. The service is slow. I brought wet ones to wipe down the table and soy sauce and I even had to rolled my jeans up to walk around. So gross

My mother in law loves this place for some reason so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the beef and broccoli and towards the end of the plate, there was a big black bug! Needless to say I threw up the entire plate. Management offered to refund my money but not even that will make me eat there again. I strongly suggest you stay away from this place and find somewhere else to eat.

Not the best in town. But the best I’ve had on Southside. Combo pad that is awesome. Good hot n sour soup. Could use a revamp. Sort of run down.

I’d seen this place for years, heard good and bad. Thought I’d see for myself. Ordered the Kung Po Shrimp and Crab Rangoon. Wasted 12 bucks, I won’t make that mistake again. My curiosity cost me. I’m an Army brat, so I’ve had oriental in Killeen, El Paso, Houston, NYC& all over the nation. THIS was the worst I’ve ever had, and for someone who loves oriental(Dad got Mom pregnant with me during Korean war) I crave my oriental food and will eat just about anything, Yaki Man Do & Kemchi made with cat was good eats in comparison(I kid you not).

I love this place. You have to try the pad Thai. They have huge portions and the egg rolls are the best I’ve had. I really don’t understand the poor reviews. The place is nice the food is good. Best Chinese food I’ve had in San Antonio.

Ordered the three meal with rice and egg rolls combo. We got Lo Mein, Teriyaki Chicken, and Sesame Seed Chicken with fried rice and 3 Rangoons. The environment was awful as others have said. The Lo Mein is extremely bland. The only flavor you could taste were the pea pods. They served us about ½ cup of Teriyaki chicken. I called to complain about how little they gave and the woman responded with«Ma’am, they are not meant to feed 2 – 3 people, they are only meant to feed 1 person.» Well, they had no problem giving us a mountain of their bland«lo mein»(which I could have made it using a stir fry sauce and linguine and it would have tasted better). The only redeeming quality was the flavor of the Sesame Chicken. That indeed tasted very well, but overall *not worth the money*. Take your chances at a different chinese restaurant. The prices will be the same and you’ll likely get better portions and better flavor.

Food is always good, but I agree with the others that the place is dirty and kinda ghetto. I usually order to go, and try not to look around too much when picking up… lol. Never seen the restroom, and that’s probably best. Still like the food, though. Wonton soup is the bomb!

This place was awful. The order was filled incorrectly, the chicken was cold and the servers were not very friendly. The restaurant itself is a mess. The restrooms smell bad and there was graffiti everywhere. I will never cone back here again.

Considering this is a drive through Chinese food restaurant, it really wasn’t that bad. I had the Generals chicken with egg roll and fried rice. The chicken was actually decent, the egg roll was probably bought in the freezer section at the supermarket, and the fried rice was okay. All in all if I find myself wanting Chinese food for exactly $ 8.20 I’ll be back, but I’d rather find a buffet.

Mexican food disguised as Chinese food. The Mongolian beef looked like steak fajita. I asked for brown rice and the cashier told me the fried rice is brown. Well its brown because its got soy sauce on it and its fried. THe place was packed so if youre a Texan by you’re standard this might be a four star joint.
