Chili’s Grill & Bar

This is one of my favorite places to get a steak. It’s very consistent. You know what you are going to get when you order it. The sirloin and the loaded mash hit the spot. I’ve only had my steak done wrong once and I’ve been here at least 2 dozen times. Hint: If you order medium, it’s going to be more towards medium well, and that’s perfect for me. When they had the endless enchiladas, I was here all the time getting it. They are freaking good! The two dudes that tend the bar are pretty cool dudes. I went today at lunch by myself this time and the steak was perfect. Texas Roadhouse and Chili’s are my two favorite spots to get steaks.

I was definitely not happy with the food quality from here to be exact. I get home and enchiladas were hard with hardly any sauce, stuck to the foil and didn’t taste well. I called and asked if I can go back but they said that the kitchen was closed. Feeling really Unsatisfied cause I didn’t get to enjoy a meal and was really hungry. I was offer a coupon for the same value of my meal, but honestly I don’t feel satisfied and like there is much being done considering that I am having to wait till tomorrow, when there the ones that messed up with my meal. I hope that no one has this happened to them.

Still diggin this Chili’s location. We go to it often and it has proven to be very consistent — both with food quality AND service.
I just wanted to mention that I tried their wings for the first time this week and they were AWESOME!
I’m going to begin a quest to find the best wings in San Antonio — so far, these are the best I have tried, but I know there are a lot of independent places out there that I have yet to try — stay tuned folks!

We just walked in to this restaurant and we couldn’t believe how filthy it was. We thought considering the area it was in it would be a little better as far as service is concerned. We asked the hostess to please wipe our table down again and she came to spray the table without asking us to move away from the table before she sprayed us with it. The table behind us had food sitting out for such a long time that there were flies buzzing around the food. I would highly not recommend this restaurant unless it was the last restaurant opened and you were that desperate to eat out.

So, my meal was ok and the waitress was awesome but, the hostess screwed it all up by not paying attention to what she doing and spraying window cleaner in my face and arm.
I said «woah» and she rudely answer «sorry I didn’t do it on purpose». I said know but, instead of laughing and looking at your phone while spraying it you should be paying attention to who’s around you while spraying that. She again answered rudely «well whatever I said I was sorry».
Nice employee right? SMH. I should have complained to the manager. Hopefully the manager sees this and talks to her.

First of all, clean the tablets. We came on a Monday at 11am and the tablet was disgusting, all streaked with nasty human fingerprints, grease and funk. Besides that the food was ok, chips and salsa were free because of my reward points. Will come back to get more free stuff but please Chili’s clean the tablets at least at the start of the shift! Do you know how nasty hands are!

Horrible customer service! I made a to-​go order and waited 10 mins to even be greeted. On top of that the order wasn’t ready.

Horrible service!!! Actually no service! Waited 15min with our server continously passing us and not acknowledging us once. Just ended up leaving

Very poor service and low quality food. It took multiple attempts to get out order right and they still messed it up. As a national chain you would think an establishment would have their act together more so than they do.

Hands down just horrible service. Sat at the bar for lunch and took 5mins or so before my order was taken. Then it took another 45 mins to get my food out. I had them box it up because I was on my lunch hour. When I got back to work it was the wrong order. Keep in mind I was the only person sitting at the bar

Where do I start when so many things went wrong with this place. I came here last night with my uncle and cousin since this location is close to my house and boy was it a mistake. First up is the drink order. My uncle and I both ordered unsweet tea and were served sweet tea. Next after receiving my correct order of unsweet tea I took a couple of drinks and notice that there were flies in it. Now granted there were no flies flying around our booth (gross/​puke). Then my the next thing that went wrong is my cousin ordered the chicken fajitas for one and the gentleman stated upon delivering our food to the table that he would be back with her rice and beans the waiter did not come back to check on us until my cousin was on her last fajita taco and at that time stated «Oh let me get your rice and beans I thought my co worker was going to bring it out». I do have to say i order the grilled fished tacos and they were good but the service of this location is not worth it to return to plus I like my unsweet tea without the flies. I would not/​will not return to this location.

Thanks Chili’s. No surprises here. Mediocre food. Poor service. Long wait. Just what I expected. Only made worse because you have robbed is of precious time with our airman before he had to get back to base and we wasted so much time here!

I really like Chilis but this one really needs a manager to get the place clean. The floors are dirty all over the restaurant and the bar area has a smell. Also staff such as the host, are very slow to clean tables especially in the bar area where a lot of customers want to eat. The plus side: The berry margarita was awesome. I will have that cocktail again and the bar staff was friendly and the food was good.

I ate here yesterday with co-​workers, for lunch. I had chicken quesadillas. The chicken was rubbery and was obviously reheated. About an hour after lunch, I became very sick. None of us were familiar with the area and only having a hour for lunch, we thought Chili’s would be safe. Don’t eat here.

Had a great experience tonight. Jesse my server is a very entertaining and a great server! He was knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. I like the express checkout too!

I’ve visited this Chili’s for years now. Service has always been great except for one visit about a year ago. When addressed to their website I received a phone call within minutes. Unexpectedly I received a coupon for $ 25 to use towards our next visit.
I’ve returned many times and have yet to have another bad experience. Foods always great!

I ordered their crispy chicken chipotle crispers with corn on a cob and onion rings. Unfortunately, my chicken was cold, soggy and the corn on a cob was very buttery and tasted mushy.

A friend and I went to this location last night. Horrible service. Wish I could say how the food was but we didn’t have any. We were seated about 10 min after we walked in. Unfortunately our server never came. Not once! 2 servers passed us by a number of times. The manager passed us about 3 times. Not one person asked if we wanted drinks, if we were doing ok, not even an «I’ll be right with you»
After about 20 min we got up and left. The manager saw us getting up to leave and still not a word. I used to love Chili’s but lately it’s been going downhill. I will not be returning to this location any time soon.

Monday night date night with the wife, and a gift card to boot! WOOHOO!
Had the $ 35 appetizer/​two entrée/​dessert special. I had a bacon cheeseburger, wife enjoyed a steak. Burger and steak done to perfection! Appetizer of margherita flatbread was excellent! And the dessert? A skillet (yep!) chocolate chip cookie a la mode (vanilla/​chocolate syrup!) YUM!!! Warm cookie dough, with chocolate and CHOCOLATE, with ice cream…’nuff said! And service was great! No lapse in drink refills, service was timely and friendly, and the atmosphere was nice and cozy (especially on a 35 degree San Antonio night (BRRRR!)
All good! Will certainly be back!

Worst service I have seen in a very long time. The server was horribly overworked and seriously under trained.
After the young man at the front door attempted to seat my party of four, including an obviously handicapped elderly woman in a walker, at a table in a tight corner, we waited an extraordinarily long time for a server to appear. She attempted to take our drink orders and leave, but, since it had been such a long wait and we were completely ready to order drinks, appetizers and entrees, I stopped her flight and had her take the complete order.
She returned quite some time later and (I have NEVER seen this done) promptly placed all four drink glasses in a huddle in the middle of the table and took off again!
She was obviously overworked; I went searching for a manger and spotted two servers, one bus person and the ever disappearing door person, who only popped out to seat the next party and then promptly disappeared again (maybe he was the cook/​kitchen staff. Apparently our server was waiting on half the restaurant. This is a Chili’s and it was about a third busy! I never did locate anyone looking as if they might be in charge and did not want to disturb any of the four persons who were trying to keep things going.
The server never inquired about the quality of our food, never refilled drinks and never cleared any plates. Once our food was delivered we never saw our server again until it was time to bring the check, which, for some unknown reason she placed between my wife and my minor child, even though I was clearly the host!
I left her a tip only because it was so obviously not her fault that she was so overwhelmed and had not received proper training. Yes, I know what proper server training looks like, I was in food service management for over 20 years and have trained hundreds of servers.
The server was, at the same time, very personable, and when she did appear, managed to maintain her composure and not show the fluster I am certain she felt.
Shame on the Manager of this restaurant and shame on the Chili’s organization for letting one of their houses get into this condition!
We’ll visit Chili’s again, as it is my daughter’s favorite, but not this location, even though it is closest to our house.
