Last minute reservation and ended up arriving before both rooms were ready but the staff was helpful, friendly. Pantry had ice cream(major plus after sitting in the car for a day). The beds were actually awesomely comfortable and the rooms very nicely appointed. Definitely recommend this place.

Never been disappointed by the Candlewood Suites. Love their concept — kitchenette, the free laundry and also their signature Candlewood Cupboard for supplies. Only thing that would top this is a free hot breakfast but for the price, who can complain? Highly recommended. This is a nicer and bigger Candlewood Suites than the last one I stayed in. Wifi is fast and dependable. Adequate parking spaces. Elevator works just fine. For just a little over $ 100 a night including taxes, the price is hard to beat!

I’ve stayed at some upper class hotels, but I must say Id prefer this hotel and its«perks» over some of the others I’ve stayed. Front desk attendants were all friendly and helpful. There is a pool and hot tub outdoors and a gym facility. Rooms are equipped with full kitchen. Although there is no breakfast, they have a little store onsite that you can purchase items on the honorary system. Fill out a slip of paper with items purchased and charge to room or put cash into a secure slot in the counter. This was so convenient to me to have a treat without driving anywhere. They offer you to «borrow» small appliances like blenders or crockpots if you are inspired to cook. They also have board games, puzzles and movies you can borrow. Also check out is noon. I loved this hotel, the location and everything about it. Quick drive to fiesta market(ate at mi Tierra) and the river walk. All was perfect!

Clean, no bugs or smells. Quiet, Nice staff, security Guard in lobby, 10 minutes from Amtrak Rail Station and Alamodome. Booked via website with Senior Discount. Meets my expectations of hotels I choose. Will stay again.

CANDLEWOOD, YOUGOTYOURSELF A LIFELONGPATRON. I feel like a fool for not staying at a Candlewood Extended Stay sooner! This particular location on S. Laredo is a steal! It is clean, well-maintained, the staff is VERY helpful and friendly. The room is more than I expected, lots of square footage that fits a kitchenette, study desk area, recliner, flat screen t.v., and 2 full-sized beds. Kudos to Donna on night shift — she is professional, friendly, helpful, and looks out for the customer ALWAYS. Thanks Donna!

Good hotel but off the beaten path. This is not a vacation destination or weekend getaway hotel! It is not walking distance to the Riverwalk(for most). Partly the distance, partly the neighborhood. Hotel is on a street lined with hotels. Funny thing, there isn’t anything nearby to go eat at, so for most, a little inconvenient. Rooms are great and clean. No breakfast options in the morning so at these prices, it raises an eyebrow or two. Views to the south are depressing, views to the north are just OK. You can see the city, just over the electric substation next door. I’ll stay again, but only because of the parking and easy access to the highway.

Came down for Thanksgiving and stayed here for 5 nights. It’s pretty conveniently located(right off 35 and 10) but I never heard any traffic noise. It’s clean and seems to be pretty new. The staff is SOFRIENDLY! I am totally not a city driver and got kind of freaked out about all the overpasses and one-way streets so I ended up pulling over and calling to ask for directions from a nearby hotel(the only place I could find with lights still on, it was 11pm). Gabriel was super helpful and got me there safely despite my dramatics. The room was great, with a kitchenette(no oven though) so I was able to cook Thanksgiving dinner for my husband. The only issues I had were pretty much something that seems to happen at every hotel now; the thermostat wasn’t attached to the AC unit and it was kind of noisy when other guests were in the hall/went in and out of their rooms. The thermostat thing was OK as far as temperature goes but I prefer to keep the fan running(without heat or AC) as a noise-dampener at night. Since there isn’t a fan option any more, only hot cold or off, it was extra hard to ignore the hallway noise. All in all I was happy with the room and would stay there again, and recommend it to anyone.
