Bend The Light Photography

Jenn and Kaylinn are ridiculously talented. Just looking at their portfolio makes that clear, but what is even better is how fantastic they are to work with! A big reason why we chose to work with them was because we just felt comfortable telling them what we had envisioned and they are just fun to be around. Since the wedding, I’ve been impressed at how quickly they put together all our photos! A blog post was up within two weeks, an online gallery of over 500 photos up the week after that, and we just got our DVD of all the photos this weekend, only five weeks after the wedding. Even better, the praise from friends and family for the photos has been overwhelming.

These girls are awesome. Book them now. Do it.
I hired Bend The Light to shoot my wedding/​engagement photos, and they have been nothing but super sweet and professional. All emails have been answered promptly, and they even accomodated us when we had to change dates and venues.
So far we have only had our engagement photos done, but they came out beautifully. Not only are these girls fantastic photographers, but they have fabulous ideas for the shoots! For instance, we took ours at Kiddie Park, carnival style. It was a little odd (ok, really creepy) being the only people at a kids amusement park, but it was so worth it. The pics are fantastic!

I used Bend the Light for my engagement and wedding photos. They are awesome! We wanted to do some really specific and personal things for our engagement photos, like with cooking and our house and dog and the wine bar we had our first date at. Not only were they cool with that, they loved it! They like it when people get personal with the photos. And the wedding photos are absolutely phenomenal. They did such a great job! I was looking for something more than a traditional wedding photographer, and I definitely got it. I have so many amazing memories from my wedding, and the photos to go with them!

If you live in the San Antonio, Houston, or Austin definitely put Bend the Light on your list of event photographers. These kids drove out to the site the night before the wedding just to scope things out, the next day arrived on time and ready to shoot 9 hours of digital film. They promised two photographers but end up bringing three.
Throughout the preparations, ceremony and reception they were super nice and had a lot of great ideas. Maybe a few sounded cheesy at the time, but then… we saw the slide show (they put one together for you while you’re waiting for the pics to emerge on
). And the photos ARE. FREAKING. AMAZING.
I’ve had several people say to me the photos are the best they’ve ever seen. I have to agree. Check out their site, and you will believe.
Best of all? They don’t limit you to prints. You get all the digital negatives on one CD. Sure, they’ll still try to sell prints to your friends and relatives, but you ultimately get the pics in digital format. And you won’t have to pay a premium. They were actually cheaper than a lot of others we priced because they’re just getting into weddings. As they gain more fans, the price will go up. But they’ll still be competitive.
All the photos haven’t even been released yet, but I won’t wait to tell you. If they’re within driving distance, use them.
