Finally got a chance to eat at this small and quaint little restaurant. i walked in just about 3pm, evidently close to closing time, and was seated immediately. There were a couple people already seated and finishing there late lunch. the owners were mixing and mingling with some of the regulars. It was nice to see that they hired young teenagers to work in the Café. A couple were in the kitchen cleaning plates and plating orders, while a couple more worked the floor and Juice bar. ALL were working diligently and looks as though they enjoyed working in the café. I ordered the Toasted Avo-Chicken-&-Cheese Sandwich that comes with a side salad. And chose a Banana/Pineapple Smoothie for a drink. The Sandwich was warm and delicious, toasted just right, reminding me of home back on the farm. It had a light coating of mayo which harmonized ALL the flavors of the sandwich. It didn’t take me long to gobble it up. The Side sale was served with nice vinaigrette which complimented the sandwich. I had just finished when I was asked if i wanted to try a piece of fresh 4 layer Chocolate Cake that his wife made from his grandmothers recipe. Of course I HAD to try it. ITWASDELICIOUS!!! WOW… It had a Light German Chocolate taste without the Coconut or gooey chocolate. It was soft and scrumptious. A++ for this little Family Café… Cooking up light, healthy and tasty meals, Homemade pastries, and specialty smoothies and drinks. The Avocado Café is a jewel not to miss.

This place is amazing. My wife and I stumbled upon this place and we love it. They have a good sized menu and the nicest staff you will come across. If you want to try healthy food without sacrificing any flavor than this is the place.

We make it a point to bring out-of-town family to Bracken Village, especially Avocado Café. This cute little restaurant has excellent food, coffee, and tea. The desserts are excellent. Staff is always friendly and the place is clean.(Check out the bathroom! Weird to say, but it’s so cute.)

This the first review I have written since I’ve discovered Unilocal — back when reviews were still written on papyrus. That said, I’ve been waiting for something different and off the beaten path to pop my Unilocal cherry. We found this awesome family owned and operated place after playing spelunker at the Natural Bridge Caverns. As we walked into the café, it had a very welcoming and cozy feel to it. We opted for the outdoor back patio seating which fit our party of six perfectly. I ordered the Avocado Eggs Benedict — light lunch portion, delicious. Shot of the homemade Kombucha– not overpowering and interesting to taste. Recommended. Avocado Milkshake– I wasn’t quite too sure what to expect with this one, but I had to try it since Avocado is their game, right? It definitely did not disappoint. I still dream of it to this day. Key lime pie– MUSTTRY! The scrumptious food aside, what really impressed me was the service and the homey atmosphere. Throughout the meal, each member of the family came out and introduced themselves and chatted with our group. We learned that they were successful in their own right outside of the restaurant business, but food was their passion. They really embroider the motto, «love what you do, and do what you love». If I am ever in the area, I would make it a point to make a stop here again. Thanks for the hospitality, Scott and family!

Absolutely loved this place. Stopped in to get a juice only, which was delicious, will be going back to try food. All in all though, this place serves food that is 99% organic and offers other healthly options.

This place is so adorable, set in a little rustic house and seating all around the patio. I love how the inside felt homey with mismatched vintage furniture and decorations. The food was fresh and healthy. Ordered an avocado BLT bowl which is a salad with bacon and tomato and of course avocado. My friend ordered the avocado eggs Benedict for brunch. He loved it although felt like it was a small portion for him. We redeemed the free dessert offer and tried the key lime bars. Absolutely delicious. The homemade kombucha was apple cinnamon flavor and actually really pleasant. It doesn’t have the strong fermented taste usually found with kombucha.

I will be taking EVERYONE I know here. This cozy, family-owned and operated café is nestled in the middle of turn-of-the-century Bracken Village( ) that is well worth the drive from San Antonio. I messaged them ahead of time on FB to ask for recommendations, and they did not disappoint. They promptly responded and made me a custom meal(«Surprise Me!» for $ 11.50) to fit my dietary needs. This paired with an in-house Kombucha tea and the Avocado-Chickpea hummus was absolutely delicious! Food comes out as it is ready, but your patience will pay off every time. The environment is very comfortable and eclectic(and photo-ready!), and they pulled out all the stops to make us feel like one of the family(provided us with a space heater and fantastic stories/explanations). I recommend arriving right at 11am when they open to have a nice chat with Scott or Tripp. There is no wifi, but it is not needed as that face-to-face connection is so valuable. I wish I could give them more stars!

Love Love Love this place!!! The Avocado Chicken sandwich is amazing. And every day there is a new dessert to try. It’s so nice to sit out on the porch and get away from work during lunch.

This is a nice place. The owner told us almost all the ingredients they use are organic, probably about 95%. My friend and I loved the fresh made healthy juices we tried. Delicious and nutritious! They’re quite expensive, but I guess that’s normal for healthy and good quality ingredients, but you could make some of these things at home :). I tried the gluten free quiche. No crust is what made it gluten free, it was good. We also ordered the scones and they were delicious. We’re going back.

After a steamy trek through nearby Natural Bridge Caverns, my friends and I were in the mood for something light. Somehow, the stars must have aligned on that day because we found Avocado Café(poet, and didn’t even know it). This gem of a place is family owned and operated in a rustic style cottage, serving only the freshest, and healthiest options. I ordered the Avocado Eggs Benedict w/Canadian Bacon, a shot of their Homemade Kombucha, and a tall glass of freshly pressed Orange/Carrot/Beet juice. Avocados were perfectly ripened, eggs poached to perfection, Kombucha(batch made) was utterly refreshing, and the juice a perfect pulp free. A quick check-in on Unilocal earned our group complimentary dessert which turned out to be a platter of assorted, MADEFROMSCRATCH chocolate cookies, key lime pie, oat molasses mini cupcakes, w/fresh berries and cream(like. WHAT did we do right?!) Needless to say, the odds were in our favor cuz we survived the hunger games and then some. Over the course of our meal, each family member came out to greet us, get to know us and share their life story. Truly grateful to have experienced such amazing warmth and hospitality. Thank you Floyd Family for an unforgettable experience.

I am writing this review because the owners thought my group of friends were adorable and that is also why I am giving the place 5 stars. Kidding. Here is why I am really giving it 5 stars. This place is about 3 – 5 miles away from Natural Bridge Caverns and was the perfect lunch after the tour we had there. We sat outside and really enjoyed our meal. We ordered the following: — Eggs Benedict and Chicken Salad– which was made fresh right in front of us, light, and had the right touch of everything. Perfectly portioned. — We also got a mango, raspberry smoothie which was super fresh. –We got the kombucha drink also– I was expecting something very sour etc but it wasnt. Tasted pretty refreshing! –Avocado smoothie, amazing! Tasted like ice cream. We literally met the whole family and it was amazing to how much they contributed to the world, and to my belly. Another highlight, we used a Unilocal checkin to redeem free desert. We were honestly not expecting much but they gave a whole plate of desserts to us. May I add that the key lime pie was the best I have ever had. To die for. Keep up the great work!

Had a blast. Not just the food but the service. Nice family owned café. Everything was fresh and nicely put together. I ordered the eggs Benedict and expected nothing less. The wait was not brutal about 15 – 20 min to get our meal. Lastly, since we went as a group we got free dessert and it was delicious. The family was very personable and we did not feel uncomfortable at all. Felt like we got ourselves a new family. Highly recommend the juices and desserts!

Came here right after Natural Bridge Cavern. They’re such a friendly family owned café. Cute little café with wonderful people, food and drinks. I am so glad that we’ve found this place. It is such a hidden gem. We sat outside at the patio on a beautiful day of 81 degree. We ordered Avocado flatbread — very light, with cheese, tomato and avocado. Super good Avocado egg benedict — light lunch portion. Must get. Key lime pie — Must must try its the best key lime pie that I’ve tried Chocolate walnut cookie — not bad Tres leches — Perfect. Not too sweet not too heavy

Avacado Egg Benedict was good. Placed my order and it was on the table quickly. I also had a veggie juice that was really good. I will be back for future visits.

We went to Avocado a couple of weekends ago on a Saturday. We heard about this place from Unilocal and it appeared to have very good reviews. We were correct! The place is very charming, like an older house with mismatched furniture. I opted for the avocado eggs benedict and my wife had the quiche of the day. I coupled my early lunch with a nice fresh juice(had apple, cucumber and a few other fresh ingredients); it was GREAT and unlike some other places where they give you a tiny bit of juice for the price, here you get a large amount. My wife tried the kombucha with her lunch and really enjoyed it. The service was very attentive and friendly; we both had such a pleasant experience that we will most definitely be returning. I only wish they were open for brunch on Saturday and not just Sunday.

This place is great. Kind of hidden in Bracken Village but when you find it, it is a good thing. They are small and kitchsy with different dining room tables with painted tops. I know at least a brother and sister work there together. They can do almost any dish gluten free. There is avocado in almost everything. I suggest the Avocado Eggs Benedict. We got the guacamole and it came with veggie chips, when we ran out they promptly brought us more to finish it off. It was a hit with the little ones. We were there with my little ones. They made it in to a kids plate with goldfish and applesauce.
