I would have given this 5 stars if I had ever done this before, but I have nothing to compare it to so I gave it 4. I held my 31st birthday party at Art on the Rocks with Ashleigh as our teacher. NONE of my party had any painting, drawing or art experience and we selected a very detailed/complicated piece of art to do(The Café Terrace on the Place du Forum by Van Gogh). Ashleigh pre-drew some of the picture for us to make it easier and simplified the original so we would be successful. Despite arriving 15 minutes late we were able to complete our painting without feeling rushed. Ashleigh did an amazing job of guiding us through. She would work a little ahead and then walk around the room and offer guidance as needed. She kept a very doable pace and was very professional, sweet. If I offered any feedback it would be the location. It is in the middle of a residential area, in her home. It was a lovely home and a great set up but I think a more convenient location/business setting would have been more fun. It was hard to enjoy the ‘on the rocks’ part while hearing her little ones(very cute and not loud or obnoxious– just there) upstairs waiting for Mom to come put them to bed. Also, we had initially planned to go out afterwards but the drive was far enough that people just went home. GOTOARTONTHEROCKS! It was amazingly fun and really interesting to see how much we could do that we didn’t know we could do. Let’s help this business grow and grow for a great family and teacher so she can have the worlds coolest studio somewhere inside the loop
