We went here on a group field trip. It was so much fun and educational. They showed us how a violin is made and let us tour the basement. Impressive! Make sure you have good directions because this store is hard to find and the building doesn’t look like much from the outside. I would give the store a higher rating but we did a trial lesson with one of the violin teachers. His name was Joseph and he was very rude. My son is an excellent violinist and was auditioning for YOSA so we took the audition piece as our trial. First, Joseph said that the piece was too hard for him before he even heard my son play. I could go on and on but the story ends with my son not ever wanting to play the audition piece ever again. It was a very disappointing day. Luckily, we found an amazing teacher that is helping my son progress each week. His name is Matthew Zerweck in case you are interested.

I was looking for a music stand and had gone to a couple other music stores to find one and the prices were outrageous. So I made a call and the person that answered the phone had quoted me a price of $ 35. It actually took me a while to find the place and in fact I pass it up twice. And when I got into the store, the sells person told me that they didn’t have any music stands at that price. But, the manager was nice enough to sell me another stand at the price quoted on the phone. I appreciate that. Not too many store owners would do that.

We are currently renting a violin for my 5th grader through Antonio Strad. I first learned of their company when she came home in May with their flyer and when I saw they had a groupon in June I decided they would be the place we would rent from. We went a few weeks ago to rent her violin for the start of strings at her school and I was SO pleased with the level of service that we received while she was quickly fitted for a violin. They were a little busy but adequately staffed. I absolutely love whenever a company has a lot going on and treats you like you are the only customer there, and gives you the time and attention you deserve. I am so glad we chose this company and when we are ready to actually purchase her violin this is the place we will visit to do so.

Stopped by today with my daughter to pick up her first full sized violin. Amazing experience and she was truly speechless. The owner showed us how to pick out the perfect violin in our price range and we could not be more satisfied.

Hey guys, Antonio Strad(from my experience) is more suited toward advanced players, instrument wise. But they do have the occasional great bargain, like that electric violin for $ 350?! A steal! However, even beginning players can use them for repairs, advice, and accessories. They have helped me find a good shoulder rest, repaired my instrument several times, and given me some tips and tricks. Their repair work is impeccable and is THE only place to go for that type of thing. So tired of going to Sam Ash and the others where the staff knows next to nothing about stringed instruments. The people here actually play and therefore actually know what they’re are talking about. Sorry people, but these types of instruments are expensive, not like a cheap guitar you just need the occasional strings for. Violins, violas, cellos, and basses are just more costly to maintain and I think Antonio Strad does a pretty good job of keeping the price reasonable while putting forth expert craftsmanship. Your kid needs a cheap violin that they will not want to play in a year? Go to a pawn shop or some other music store.

Seriously, they are the best for first violin purchase, as they will personally fit the violin for you. I have been looking for a hand crafted violin that can fit my hand for a few years, and I was overwhelming when they offered the personal fitting. The store is tastefully decorated, there are a lot of Masterpiece in their collection. The service is highly professional, and caring! They really cared what I needed, paid attention to the details in the product they sold to me. Seriously, fitting is the most important thing you are looking for when you purchase a new violin. I will difinitely recommend them for my family and friends! I will visit again!

Quality instruments for the more experienced and serious minded performer. I would not use this business for a young child that’s being introduced to instrument playing. There are many other businesses in city that are more appreciative of the customer namely a young student in the learning stage. They«claim» to have a rent to own program — complete rip off and shame. If you use this business buy the instrument straight out but I assure you there are other businesses in the city that can give you a more affordable option for your child and family. Then if you child shows interest beyond say elementary/middle schools then invest in a better performing instrument. I found the staff and management cold.

I am delighted to have found Antonio Strad Violin. I play on an 18th century Austrian violin and bow, which recently needed some maintenance and repair work, including a new bridge and new bow hair. The work was done 3 days ahead of schedule, and the results were fantastic. The pricing was extremely reasonable for the high quality of work done. I’m a teacher as well, and several of my students(including two of my own children) are renting from Antonio Strad. The rental policy is generous and allows for different instrument options. I’ve been impressed that they were also willing to carry materials that I requested for my teaching studio. I’ve been to the store a handful of times. Sometimes it is quite busy, sometimes I’m the only one there, but I’ve always been pleased with the service. This is a top-notch establishment.
