Amy’s Hallmark Shop

Unfriendly staff and poor customer service– I walked into this store at 6:55, not realizing that it closed at 7 PM, because in all honesty, why would a card shop close as early as 7 PM during the holiday season? Fine, guilty, however, I knew exactly what I wanted to look for, so regardless of the five minute time frame, I could be (and was) in and out of there before closing time. Additionally, there were other customers inside the store perusing cards nowhere near the point of checking out, so I wasn’t the only customer in the store. All that being said, a cashier made the snarky comment to the tune of, «Coming in five minutes before closing? Really?» Yes, honey, really. Any business owner that I have ever come across welcomes business, be it at opening or right before closing. My presence did not prohibit any employee from cleaning, stocking, etc. before closing; in fact, I left the store before any other customer that was there before I even entered the store, so the rude behavior was even more unwarranted. Experiences like these drive people to big box stores like Target, which also sells cards and gifts. I would suggest going there or to the Hallmark store in the Quarry instead of this store.

Hallmark is usually on the expensive side. I like to go after the season to get good sales. Quality items and friendly staff.
