I have been in this store more than once and both times the experience has not been pleasant or welcoming on either occasion. I was in the store today and the owner was having a complete conversation about her hair dye with another customer while I was browsing. It was an awkward and too much info and didn’t seem appropriate. As I left the store the owner did not bother to acknowledge me exiting guess her hair dye conversation was important than actual customers. This store is located in a cute place the owners needs improvement on customer experience and professionalism. Otherwise a decent store.

Amazing! Wish I could try it all on and hand over an unlimited credit card. Beautiful, just sooooo expensive.

I love supporting local businesses but after my experience at Kismet with my friend I won’t be shopping here again. We walked around looking at different items and the woman working couldn’t be bothered to even look up from her phone to ask us if we needed anything. Only after my friend had tried on shoes, she found the sizes herself, did the woman say anything to us. This disappointing experience has soured me from ever shopping there again and I was a good customer.

I have always loved Kismet, and especially love supporting small local businesses, but I had a terrible experience there recently. My friend and I went in after noticing a cute pair of shoes in the window. The sales woman was sitting behind the counter, staring at her cell phone. We were not greeted, and we proceeded to continue through the store. For approximately 20 minutes we walked through the store, without being acknowledged, while she continued to text on her phone. I tried on three pairs of shoes with no notice from the sales associate. It wasn’t until another, older, woman walked in the store that she looked up from her phone to ask us if we needed any help. By that time I had already decided what I wanted with no help from her. Her behavior almost turned me away from buying anything at all. I don’t expect to be followed around the store, but to be constantly texting while we needed help was unacceptable. I expect better customer service from a boutique like that, especially when we are the only people in the store.

Owner is nice, the staff helpful and the selection is small but great. If you like boutique and you are ok with high prices for high quality, this is a great place to shop at! I found tasteful clothing and just the right selection to make my shopping experience easy and a success!

Kismet, fate, not sure the name fits the shop. I have been here ⁴⁄₅ times and have bought four tops and I do love them, I think the owner is very rude and the prices a bit high, I also have noticed that the sizes are getting smaller and smaller, so not sure I will be shopping there anymore.

Now that erica is the sole owner I have noticed that even though I’m a woman of a certain age, let’s just say I won’t be seeing 65 again anytime soon., that she and I have the same taste. I love this place. In the last six years I have noticed that most of my wardrobe is from this shop. They have great scarfs, a wonderful selection of jewelry by lots of local artists like Jennifer Tuton and also others like Chan Luu
All price points can be found here. And women over 65 you can shop here. I’m constantly getting compliments on my outfits and they are always from here. I am
In love with this store. They carry lots of Velvet and Trina Trunk and have styles not seen in other shops. Plus the people who work here are kind and caring and very community oriented. By the way I stop in several times a week and I’ve never heard gansta rap ever. I think the reviewer who posted that had been in a different shop or dreamed up the music.

LOVE this place.
Every time I come in, they have the most stylish, classy clothes and shoes. I can’t walk out without buying something. Top that with the nicest girls working, and I’m a happy customer. Yeah, it’s a little pricey but it’s actually fairly reasonable for the area and certainly not abnormal for boutiques in general.
My only suggestion, which is really totally self-​serving and goes for all boutiques — please carry more petite sizes! :)

Hands down my favorite store. Always have a great selection of gorgeous, flattering and quality apparel for all shapes, sizes and ages. The staff is always helpful and inspiring, they give the best ideas for my wardrobe and pairing choices. It’s like having my own personal stylist! If I ever have a special event this is the first place I stop, they always have incredible dresses and slacks. I also love their selection of denim, T’s and blouses. Its the perfect store for everyday and/​or something special for an occasion. The owner, Erica, is incredibly friendly and sweet, as is the rest of her wonderful staff :)
This beautiful store is a one-​stop-​shop, I always leave with something I love and feeling like a million bucks because of the experience!

Cute little boutique in downtown San Anselmo. They have a nice range of labels and price points– I got a really cute blouse on mark down that I love.

Kismet has great clothes for casual to dressy occasions. Erica, the owner, and her sales staff are really helpful (never pushy), give good advice and provide excellent customer service. After searching all over Marin and SF, I found the perfect dress to wear to my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah at Kismet (and I’ll wear it again and again because it’s so cute and hip). Kismet is now my «go to first» boutique!

I always walk by Kismet, since I am usually going across the street for coffee. I have thought of it as high, high end and not something I could afford.
So, I was pleasantly surprised to find what I was looking for (skinny tees boob tube — not sure what else to call it) and for a reasonable price. If I had been in the market for some colorful tank tops by Michael Kors I would have purchased them!

This is a really pretty store though I found the reception from the owner less than inviting both times I went in.

A lot of high end labels (those of which I forgot already!). I dont think it’s something I would enjoy wearing but it’s for young 30s –early 40s.

This is a great botique that carries some of my favorite brands. I love their selection of Rebecca Beeson, Michael Stars, Ella Moss, and Three Dots, to name a few. It seems like I always find something I love when I go there. Also, both of the owners are really welcoming and great at giving you fashion tips. Overall one of my favorite botiques (and I’m a big shopper :)).

Kismet is a cute little boutique without the snobbish atmosphere that one can encounter in a lot of other places. The Place is very friendly and minimalistic decorated and the brands are quite eclectic. Laundry, 3dots, yogi, beeson… you name it. The owners are awesome. Barbara is superfriendly and knows how to choose her merchandise to fit your style.
