This place was amazing. Inside was beautiful. Food was some of the best in town. The outside seems sketchy, but it’s all in all a great place!

This is not a place I’ve been to often, as a matter of fact I believe I’ve been there less the 5 times since its been open and never Was it my idea, the food is decent but not enough to offset the rude treatment I received based off of my service dog. I am an 8 year veteran of the Air Force with tours to Iraq and Afghanistan and thus suffer from PTSD. Even after explaining to the manager that I was following the law under ADA and having the local police department explain to them that I was following the law I was forced to leave. This will be the last time I go to this establishment and warn all personal with service animals, this is not a service animal/ADA friendly place and you will find hostility

My second time at Joe’s Italian, and it was jsut as good as my first time last year. Comfortable ambiance, TERRIFIC garlic bread«rings»(similar to hot pretzels!). This time I had the baked sampler dish that included lasagna, ravioli, and a third item I cannot remember. What I DO remember is that I ate every drop! Very pleasant waitress named Gabnby with the most beautiful smile! Great meal!

Joe’s is not the place for people who think Pizza Hut has good Italian food or that Olive Garden is real Italian. Joe’s is more like those mom and pop Italian restaurants in the Northeast. Good food, plenty of it, and at a reasonable price. Daily specials are great and inexpensive. Service is efficient. The pizza is better here than from any of the chain pizza joints. The owner is friendly and accommodating.

Pasta dishes review, not pizza review Underwhelming is the best word to describe this place. The inside is dark and old and could use some remodeling. The service was slow and all together too serious for he food they served. The food… Boring and a little too tomatoey. It’s almost like someone trying to make it taste like authentic Italian food but trying too hard and then just giving up and covering up their mistakes with extra cheese.

Not a huge fan of this place. The food was mediocre at best. Service was ok but nothing special. Nothing bad sticks out but nothing good either. I probably won’t dine here again.

This place is amazing. I had the pasta sampler, and my husband had the stuffed mushrooms. We also had the strawberry cheesecake and cannoli, and it was delicious.

Eating here was the worse experience of my life. I ordered the cheese tortellini with butter sauce and it tasted like plastic. I thought it was just me but then I had my family try it and they said it tasted awful also. The atmosphere feels awkward and not at all like an Italian restaurant. All in all it was a bad experience and I DON’T recommend you eat here

Ate here last night… worst dining experience I’ve had in 10 years in San Angelo. Service was awful… nothing to offer kids except soda. What they call garlic bread was like a soggy bland bagel. I ordered the chicken Marsala. Dry overlooked chewy chicken with what tasted like a jar of beef gravy with sugar added. No wine sauce! It was awful and inedible! Last time I will ever eat here.

I pass by this restaurant every day. Not a fancy, flashy building, located near the train tracks in the same parking lot of a hotel. I’m not from San Angelo, so if someone didn’t point it out to me or tell me about it, I’d probably never give it a second thought. I usually get out of work too late to eat here, but had a Friday night date finally! We got to the restaurant and were seated immediately. The atmosphere was pleasant; typical Italian restaurant décor, lots of wine and Frank Sinatra playing quietly on the radio. Our server was very pretty and very pleasant. She promptly took our drink order and brought us fresh bread with sauce when she returned. She asked us if we wanted to start with and appetizer and recommended the stuffed mushrooms which were her favorite. We agreed and placed our order for food shortly after. I’m not sure how much time passed till we got our appetizer, but the place was so cozy and she kept our drinks flowing and bread basket full we didn’t even notice. The stuffed mushrooms were hot and bubbly when she brought them, freshly made. Delicious! Probably the best I’ve ever had! Hell, I’d probably return just to eat those! She brought our entrée out at perfect timing, eggplant parmigiana. When I cut into it, I was a little alarmed at how soft it was… But when I bit into it, flavor explosion! It was excellent. The spaghetti was a little bland, but over all I was extremely satisfied with our meals D our dining experience. The server brought our ticket without being pushy or annoying, she engaged in appropriate conversation without being overly friendly and interrupting the date. The owner cashed us out after our meal and he was very friendly and welcoming. Perfect dinner date. Thank you, Joe’s. We will return.

Delicious and inexpensive. A slice of the joes special is like 2 bucks and will fill you up

When you come to Joes, prepare to spend little and leave with your stomach full. This is your straight forward italian comfort food. Service is usually quick for dine in or pick up. My personal recommendations: For a sandwich: Phili Cheese Steak. Extra Peppers, onions and mushrooms. Chicken Parmesan or The Chicken Cacciatore. If you Love Cheese! Grab a Calzone! But the reason I come here is for one thing in particular. 18″ Joes Special. It doesn’t get more«Fo’ get about it» than that. Largest pie in town. Best price in town. Fo get about it!

Every time my family and I are in San Angelo we make it a point to eat there. We are always seated quickly and receive our food quickly. The food is delicious, the bread, which is served when you are seated, is to die for. I would recommend this place to anyone!

It was just ok. A lot of sauce and cheese. Nothing super memorable. The fried ravioli appetizer was a but bland without the sauce.

The food is good enough for me to return but it could be improved. Most of what is offered at Joes is a bit on the heavy side. They drown everything in sauce but it tastes ok. Salads are just iceberg lettuce. Tea seams to be made with unfiltered San Angelo water which is just a no no. The worst thing about Joes is the atmosphere. It is very dark and dingy and just weird. Looks like there may have been a buffet in the building at one time but even though Joes doesn’t offer a buffet, the line is still there covered in wine bottles and dust collecting tchotchkes. There doesn’t seem to be any theme to the random décor and murals on the walls. There is a fold out table in the center of the room with to-go boxes on it. I wish they would brighten and clean the place up. Tweet the atmosphere a bit and work on a couple menu items and this place could really be a hot spot. So much potential here.

Had my daughters college graduation dinner here for a party of 12. Service was very good and waitress was friendly. Everything we had was wonderful starting with the garlic knots and stuffed mushrooms. We had a good variety from the menu and everyone was happy with the meal. My husband really enjoyed the tiramisu.

Their starter bread is very good. I love to dip it in alfredo sauce. I’m a big fan of their pizza. I order it extra crispy, so it’s a little«burnt» in some spots. Delicious! Their meat lovers & white pizza is amazing. I love the Stromboli, I can usually get 2 meals out of it. The stuffed shells are quite scrumptious, too. Another favorite is chicken fettuccine alfredo, sauce is more runny than I like it, but that doesn’t stop me from soaking it up with the bread. Waitresses are usually very helpful & courteous. Can’t beat the prices, either!

Great start with bread but slowly went down hill. After waiting over 20 minutes waitress came back to table to ask me what I ordered. Then proceeded to bring my boyfriends dinner. Asked her to hold till I goth meal. Well I ordered chicken carciofi the lemon sauce was so tart I couldn’t eat. Will stay with the basic pizza next time. Waitress told manager we were not happy with meal and he have us a whole 5% off. Lol.

The service was exceptional. The food, regrettable. This place has the honor off being the worst place I have ever eaten and I have been all over the USA. Their ground«beef» resembled puppy chow and tasted like it looked. My sampler plate was a warm mass of confusion. Pasta here, pasta there, an incredible amount of cheese. We left our food, something I have only done once before. AWFUL, AVOID!!!
