We love this place so much. The food is always fresh, hot and delicious. The workers are extremely polite and friendly. We always order our food to go and the food is usually hot and ready when I show up. Definitely one of the hidden gems of San Angelo.

AMAZING food; seven of us ordered different things and it was all delicious! The Himalayan tea, the smosas, the vegetarian dishes, the lamb, the chicken… order ANY of it and know what you’re getting is about to be perfect! Be sure you don’t have any place to rush off to because the kitchen takes their time to cook it right. Plus they offer a 20% military discount!!! Will be coming back again and again!!!

Amazing Indian food! The lamb vindaloo and garlic naan bread are absolutely delicious. The service is a little slow and the food takes a longer time than I’d like but you’ll forget about the wait as soon as you take your first yummy bite!

Absolutely phenomenal experience at Taste of the Himalayas. The $ 16 dinner selection was a huge amount and variety of yummy food. Everything was so delicious. The garlic naan had a nice crunch on the top and was soft and tasty underneath. The waiter counted our Himalayan tea«on the house» with free refills too ! So glad to stop here en route to San Antonio

Being from Houston, I am very skeptical of Indian food. Since I know how Indian food is supposed to taste like(Indian origin), sad to say Houston probably has one of the worst Indian food scene. It is so bad, that I do not go out to eat Indian food. So, when I found this place in San Angelo(traveling for work), my skepticism kicked in. Then I saw the rating of 4.5 and got some level of confidence. Read some reviews, saw pictures and decided to give it a try. Boy was I glad that I did. You step in and the place is clean, which cannot be said about many other Indian places. The owner and the staff are super friendly. Since I wanted to try various menu items, ended up getting a non vegetarian plate with chicken. So what stood out: 1. Food was hot in temperature. Indian food is best enjoyed hot, not warm but hot. They had it just right. 2. Traditionally«saag paneer» is a dish from northern part of the Indian sub continent was legit. Ladies and gentlemen, no where in India does it have heavy cream and neither did this. Simply amazing. 3. Lentil soup was very mild and soothing as it should be. 4. NOT all Indian food is supposed to burn your taste buds, it needs to be savory, which was very much the case, somewhere between mild and medium. 5. Creamy things were creamy(chicken tikka masala) and everything else was not. So if you decide to head to this place, you will not be disappointed.

Looking at the owner’s message, when did the price change to $ 7.99? I haven’t been in for a few months and it was no where near that price.

I am a lover of Indian food and was surprised that there was a quality Indian restaurant in San Angelo. Indian Cuisine’s vegetable korma is PHENOMENAL! Like, absolutely out of this world. Also, they have pretty good Himalayan tea, saag paneer and chicken tikka masala. The buffet has a little of everything and is the go to option when you cannot decide what you want to grub on for the evening. Also, you can get it to go which is even better should you want to stuff your face at home in privacy. Definitely will be back before I depart San Angelo.

One word… AMAZING! I’m new in town and I was looking for a good restaurant to eat at. My wife and I happened upon this place and we loved it! The food is very delicious and the service is great! I’ll be sure to bring along a friend(or two) next time.

I usually don’t give bad reviews and am pretty patient with people but it just bothered me when I came to this restaurant. Customer service was bad. Also, food was bad. The guy that helped us was rude. I think he was either the manager or owner because he was not wearing a uniform. But the other people were nice. First time visiting.

Wow! They make their own mixed pickle. That’s autentic. Lamb vandalo was a bit dry, but it is a buffet so that is the standard. Chicken Tikka Marsalla was delicious as was the sag paneer. Well worth the trip. I would come back.

What a nice experience! We stopped for lunch on our way west and had the buffet. One of our party mentioned to the hostess that has a sensitivity to garlic. The chef came out from the kitchen to point out to our friend which dishes had minimal or no garlic – this was much appreciated. The buffet is very clean, the food was hot and each of the many choices we tried was excellent.(The saag paneer especially!) We don’t get out this way often but when we do this will be a planned stop.

The service is spectacular, the people are so warm and friendly. The food is just amazing. Everything tastes delicious. On the buffet, the saag paneer coupled with garlic naan is my favorite. They also have a vegetable curry that’s just delicious. Dessert wise the mango custard is not to be missed. This is definitely a must when you craving food with some spice and rich flavors.

Great Indian food in the heart of Texas. Who would have guessed. The buffet was great. Be sure to try the Gobi Manchurian cauliflower and the mango custard. My wife said there were great meat dishes too. Good hours.

Food was great and the staff is incredibly friendly! I’ve only experienced the buffet, but it’s amazing. One side is vegetarian and the other has all of the chicken, lamb, beef, and goat deliciousness you could every want. Additionally, the Mango custard? Nom nom nom. The only complaint(more of a critique really) is the incense. It’s pretty strong. Definitely will be coming back as it’s the best buffet I have found in San Angelo.
