This location needs to do an audit on ALL rental inventory storewide! I rent a certain multiple season TV series, get up to season 3 and a DVD is missing from that collection. Check season 4, and that collection is missing a disc also! On top of that, the quality of the discs is very low(scratches, fingerprints, smudges, etc.) and causes my player to pause, skip scenes, or just stop all together, even after cleaning. I know they don’t really care about the quality of the discs, as the faulty ones are put back on the rental shelf to be used again. I had this issue with another series, where discs were scratched, and one of them even bowed up in the center and cannot be read by the player. I just wonder why they don’t remove all the incomplete collections from inventory and just restock them. So much for doing any binge watching from a DVD!

One of the slowest coffee drive thrus I’ve ever seen. And for zero reason. I literally will wait for 20 minutes when no one else is in line and no one is in the store from what I can see. It’s incredibly frustrating. It’s almost like the people who work there have no clue it’s even happening because they never seem at all put off by it and seem nice enough. When I go inside the service is just fine. The coffee is pretty decent for San Angelo

This has to be the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with, . They are like robots who read from a script like«we apologize but there is nothing that we can do. This decision is final.» What happens is the item shows in stock on their website and after you place the order about a week later you get an email that states the item is canceled. The next day, I saw the same item on their site after I was notified my order was canceled. I called customer service and the rep, Lori, said I see its in stock, go ahead and place the order and we will give you a 40% discount since that is the discount you had on your first order that was canceled. After I placed the order I received an email from gohastings customer service saying we will not honor that 40% discount. I called the next day and they said the 2nd order I place is canceled because it’s not in stock. Don’t waste your time trying to call because they will DONOTHING to make it right. I spend hours on the phone with supervisors over a few dollars… STAYFARAWAY from this site. Try I’m much happier with

So until I arrived in San Angelo, I had never experienced Hastings. From what I would explain… Hastings is a cross between several different stores. Blockbuster(as they rent out movies) Barnes and Noble(as they have a rather large collection of books in all genres) Comic Book stores(Because there is almost always someone playing a collectible card game in the back of the store) and a record store(as they actually have records, music, equipment, and a small collection of instruments, mostly guitars) and last but not least GameStop(because they have a pretty decent selection of games on all platforms, instruction manuals, and platforms) I was hooked right away on this store. There is so much in one store that sometimes it can be overwhelming. But I could get myself a coffee and chill in the book section for a good day and a half. I love that I can get everything from one place. They also have some pretty great deals on used books, and there usually is something for everyone. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend checking it out, one of the few cool things San Angelo has is this store. Don’t miss out and get your next book, video game, guitar, or music record.

Hastings still has everything going for it even with all the RedBox and streaming competition. They are always ahead of the competition with new releases, and I like it when I get to use credits on rentals for returning movies the next day. They are also on top of their game on comic books, books, music, and magazines. I always to walk the store to see all the cool toys and check out the gadgets and accessories.

The drive through coffee bar and indoor coffee bar are ok. About on par with Stango’s coffee joint but with less options. The selection to choose from in the store is vast. However, there a very definite feel of a run down Spencer’s about everything. Some aisles are so over packed only one person can pass at a time. It’s a general mess everywhere. And there are a LOT of unattended children every where. What really surprised me was the prices. Even used items are priced well above what you would spend for a new item. Also, trade in values are better anywhere else to include Amazon which sometimes offered only 10 cents for a book. Also, a LOT of trade ins are NOT accepted with no reason as to why. Some of the books I dropped off were brand new and still a no go. I walked around for hours trying to find something to buy to use a store credit. I found nothing, I didn’t even want checkout snacks because they were way more expensive than anywhere else. They offer you half as much if you use your trade ins for cash, I’d still take the cash if I were you. I hope we get a books a million or a Barnes and noble soon but until than I will buying all my media online.

The espresso is leaps and bounds above Starbucks. Hard to believe, but it is consistently well brewed. Where else can you go in San Angelo where you can get a great drink, buy a magazine, and browse thousands of movies you’ve long since forgotten about? They’re all still there just waiting for you. It’s still open for a good reason. Hastings has evolved with the times and is still taking care of people’s needs. I love it!

Hastings here had a lot of negativeish reviews but I think people may not have the right perspective. Given that we aee in a small town lacking certain graces, Go Hastings fills in a lot of gaps without getting into your face like larger-branded places. Like Barnes and Noble you can find most new release books here, as well as music. Need entetainment or a slew of basic electronic goods and you can find it here, need novelty or music goods. same place. You won’t find fourteen types of receivers(there is a best but down the street) or other more specific items. But if you want to cover the spread, or sit down with coffee and a book while enjoying free Wi-Fi — this is one of the best places in San Angelo.

This store is really cool. Takes forever to walk through and find what you’re looking for, but there is a ton of cool stuff there. Just tried the café today… mocha frap is sooo good! Better than Starbucks. I will go back and try other drinks, I love coffee!

Now just like a restaurant, the experience is with the food and the service. Hastings kind of has the products but not the service. So you can rent or buy DVDs, buy books, comic books, music… which is great, plus there is a café attached to it, and the cashiers are usually nice. But there are some major faults. The biggest one is that Hastings tags their own price on books(and probably other items as well), and while most of their tags correspond to the price written on the back of the book or a reduced price, I have found some tags asking more money… Second biggest one is the limited selection. Very limited. Other issues have been customer service/floor employees who ignore you, don’t try to help, and just don’t smile — unless they are chatting with their coworkers. And it doesn’t seem that they spend much time reorganizing their books. I had taken a variety of books from different sections, gone to the comic book section and then decided I didn’t want some of them, and just left the books there. Yes I know as an employee it is annoying having customers mess with everything, but it is your job to tidy up at the end of the day. The next day, in the afternoon, those books were still there. Hastings is not that big — you have enough employees to tidy the place up. Another place that serves its purpose without going the extra mile.

Considering that this is pretty much the only place in San Angelo to combine books, music, games and movies it’s a great place to find anything you could ever want entertainment wise. it’s a cookie cutter franchise but nice. they coffee house though needs some work. i ordered a simple cappuccino and it took 35mins to get my order. I do like their children’s section of books. My kids enjoyed browsing, but the prices on some of their things is simple outrageous! if you’re willing to drop more than 50bucks on some books or movies it’s great.

Over the years, Hastings has become more and more disappointing from my view. If you want to rent movies, fine.(Do people still do that? I thought Netflix had pretty much taken over.) Buying DVDs — they have an alright selection. I can usually find something I want. Music? Umm… meh. Sometimes they’ll have what I’m looking for. Gaming? I guess it’s alright.(But why wouldn’t you just go to Best Buy?) Books? No. They never have what I’m looking for. Unless you want a bible, religious fiction, or Sarah Palin’s latest, then you probably won’t find it here. Go to Best Buy or . The end.

well went here the other day adn I guess for a town like San Angelo this place would do good, it does have a huge selection of DVD’s and book and it also does have a coffee shop it does have plenty of parking as well, so if you are looking for a book and a quiet place to read heres where I would go

A large selection of pretty much everything entertainment and probably one of the highlights of San Angelo. It’s nothing spectacular by any means, but for what it is, it’s pretty great and what it is, is a dime-store Best Buy/Borders. You can pretty much find any(new or used) movie, cd, video game, book or related items here. I never did, but I believe it was even a movie rental business. Anyway, I bought many a CDs(back when I still did that) and DVDs here. I sort of wish we had something like Hastings where I live now. I can honestly say Hastings kept me in pretty good entertainment, while I lived in the area.

This place is allright. It has pretty much the same feel as Borders or Barnes and Noble, only a little less classy. Ok, a lot less classy. I don’t know what it is, maybe the building needs to be remodeled, or maybe it is the biggest porn section I’ve ever seen in a regular bookstore across the aisle from the biggest bible section I’ve ever seen in a regular bookstore… It’s something unnameable I think. If you’re looking for cheap books/CDs/movies/etc though, it’s a one stop-shop. They have a lot of stuff, some of it used. The used stuff is in good condition and significantly cheaper.
