Having been to China several years ago, I am so happy San Angelo has Dragonlicious. After having tasted real Chinese food in Beijing, I am hooked on Asian cuisine. In my search for real Chinese food in the US, it is my humble yet educated opinion that Dragonlicious ranks extremely high in quality. The servers are phenomenally kind and friendly, especially James. The owners treat their customers like family friends. All in all, a wonderful restaurant. I recommend an order of Orange Beef that comes with a side of steamed rice, paired with a cup of Jasmine Tea. Even if you catch them on a bad day, do come back! You might soon notice beautiful Chinese inspired Watercolor paintings hanging on their wall created by yours truly!

Absolutely disgusted with the service we received. We ordered two dishes that required sauces, when we received the order we had no sauces. Phoned them up to be put on hold, got told they could send sauces but would probably be another 20mins, meaning the food we ordered would be cold by the time they got here. We asked to have the order resent with the sauces and they could take back what they sent previous, but they wouldn’t do that. We felt we wasn’t at fault but the only options were to have hot sauce with cold food or a refund, so went for refund. I wouldn’t even give this place one star

Easily one of the worst options for Chinese food you have here. Maybe I’m used to higher standards, but they clearly don’t care here. I got their«house special chow mein» and what arrived was a soup concoction with different meats in it. It was not anything like every single other Chinese food restaurant has ever given me. They also did not supply any napkins or utensils with their To-Go’s which is a pretty standard procedure for customers ordering to-go.

Tasty and not too expensive! Everyone in my group was pleased with their food. If was fresh and hot. And tasted very good!

I love this place because they deliver late! But you have to have a minimum order which sometimes is tough if you’re ordering for 1. Anyways, it was awesome Chinese food. I did cashew chicken and rice and it was awesome, the sauce it was cooked in was so perfect for the meal.

Almost a 4!!! They deliver! I really want to like this place. They are friendly and offer delivery and now a drive thru window for your pick up, but sadly I don’t love the food. I like it… It’s ok… But it’s not great and a lot of the dishes taste very similar. Almost like there is a serious lack of variety. They all just seem to be mixed veggies, a protein, and a sauce. That’s it. Nothing very spectacular. However they’re convenient and located in a town with very few other Chinese options that I would trust. So by default they may be your best option.

Hands down the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. First off, I was not clear what style of almond chicken they serve — the«old fashioned» kind that is breaded and deep fried with gravy over it, or the newer style kind that is not breaded, and is in sauce with vegetables. The cashier/order taker looked at me like I was nuts(my mother worked at a Chinese restaurant for 20 years); then he proceeds to tell me that they deep fry the chicken first, then put it in a wok and stir fry it. Wait, what? I knew that was nonsense, so I ordered Lo Mein instead. We were very hungry, so we decided to order an appetizer also. Because the cashier already seemed out of it and pretty much high, I asked specifically if we would get our appetizer prior to our entrees. He told me no — that they make their appetizers fresh, so they take about 20 minutes and would arrive after our entrees. Again: what? Appetizers are supposed to before the entrée. Also, this implies that the entrees are not made fresh(because they are cooked sooner), but the appetizers are? Crazy. So we get our food, and pass on the appetizers. The fried rice had so much soy sauce that it was chocolate brown. The sweet and sour sauce looked like bright red cough syrup. The employees behind the counter were openly swearing at each other constantly and the entire restaurant could hear them saying things like«Steve, you’re a piece of s**t!» Niiiiice. Negative stars for both service and quality.

One thing I knew I was giving up when we came back to San Angelo was good Chinese food. Several friends talked about how Dragon Licious was the best San Angelo had to offer. Bastards. Every last one of them laughed when I told them about our experience with take out. Yes, I was punked. The Lo Mein should be renamed Slow Mein because that was the FIRST huge red flag that appeared. I ordered our food on my way home and 45 minutes later it wasn’t ready. I walked in and the place stinks. The smell was something like a cross between a locker room and skunk spray with a sprinkle of aged vomit for that pungent bouquet at the end. The orange chicken was cold and overly sweet and goopy without that ‘tang’ we always look for and the Slo Mein was just junk; cold, gelatinous and disgusting. Had I seen the roach pic ahead of time I probably would have looked closer. After all one Chinese joint in this town is closed and I’m not gonna lie I was worried about where/what the meat was. After the wonderful restaurants we used to hit this place strikes me as the origin story for every bad thing ever said about Chinese food. I can only guess that the 4⁄5 star reviews are being generous due to a lack of experience with quality Chinese food or a willingness to settle for junk. I just can’t find a single nice thing to say.

The egg drop soup was very watery, not thickened like it should be. The General Taos chicken was good, but it had an excessive amount of breading. The place seemed very busy with the take out, so I’m guessing it is a favorite with the locals. The price was very acceptable.

This is by far my favorite place to eat Chinese food in San Angelo. The orange chicken is the best I’ve had period. Great service. Very clean. Highly recommended. Oh and their lunch specials are a super deal!

I was impressed with how good the food was, then I went back for seconds and was mortified to find what looks like a roach in my Lo-mein. MORTIFIED! Never will I order from this place again. Filthy.

Definitely worth a visit if your into quick Chinese food. The food is pretty good and quick which is great if your in a hurry. The delivery and to go food is excellent and fast which is the way I recommend ordering the food. The interior leaves something to be desired but it’s just very basic which is why I recommend getting it to go more just because your not missing anything.

We ordered for delivery. They quote an hour wait time, but we got it in about twenty minutes. Five stars for delivery service. Food? Loved it! They have great food for a great price. I was really impressed with my sesame chicken — and the pork lo mien was generous with the pork! My husband’s food was also delicious — he ordered the sweet and sour chicken with pork fried rice — also generous with the pork. We didn’t like the eggrolls. They were a bit dry and seemed like they had been under a warmer — I called and asked if I could pick some more up, and they gave me FOUR egg rolls and were very apologetic and nice. The second batch tasted much better — and their customer service was fantastic! Three stars for the food — but another five stars for the customer service! We will definitely order again.

Awesome spot for a quick fast food Chinese craving. The food is really cheap and the staff is very friendly. They have sesame balls! If you haven’t had them before, make sure you get an order. They are deep fried heaven.

I wasn’t completely impressed with this place. The fried rice tasted like soy sauce rice, the cheese wontons were sub par, but the chicken(which actually resembled chicken, weird) was delicious. I got the sesame chicken and my husband got the general taos chicken. The prices were very reasonable and the delivery time was much faster than they said it would be. I would order from here again honestly, but it’s not the best.

I ordered delivery and must say I am impressed. The food got here in about 35 minutes and they said it would be here in 45. I was happy about that. Then the food was warm and tasted fresh. The only negative thing is that if you want delivery there is a $ 17 minimum. This is definitely the best delivery Chinese I have had so far in San Angelo.

If you’re a fan of Panda Express you’ll like their food. I’m not sure how fast their delivery service is, but when eating there they are slow. The appetizer sampler takes 15 minutes to be prepared and the only redeeming item on it are the cheese rangoons. …and that’s because it’s difficult to mess up cream cheese and onion.

I had been looking forward to trying out this restaurant for some time, now I wish I had never gone. My first impression was that it was a little run down, surprising for a place that had opened so recently. I was excited to see they had spicy Orange Beef on their menu which is one of my favorite dishes so I ordered that with steamed rice. My wife ordered Szechuan Pork and we also ordered an appetizer sampler. The young woman who took our order informed us that everything was made fresh so it would be a little while for our meal to be ready. Okay, no problem. I went to fill our drinks while my wife used the ladies room, there was dust and debris around the drink station as if it had not been cleaned well in some time. My wife returned from the restroom saying there was a strange smell. We took our seats and sipped our drinks, though not comfortably as the water they use to make the iced tea is not filtered. Anyone in San Angelo knows this is an egregious mistake. We were treated to two forms of entertainment throughout our meal, 80’s pop rock music playing through the overhead speakers, not too loud, and A large HDTV showing a grainy feed of a weird movie from the 1970’s? about a family trying to send their kid to a military school. It took a long time for the food to come out so we were able to decipher a lot of the plot for a show we had no interest in. Food finally arrived, everything for a dine in meal in plastic and styrofoam containers. Appetizer sampler had fried cheese wontons, beef skewers, BBQ ribs, egg rolls, and fried chicken wings? what? Beef skewers were warm and very chewy. Egg rolls were almost cold, tasted worse than freezer rolls from the supermarket and were overcooked. Ribs were warm, mostly gristle, and burnt. Wings had no sauce, were overcooked, and very dry. Steamed rice was barely passable but not impressive in consistency. My wife’s Szechuan Pork was swimming in a sauce whose main ingredient appeared to be maple syrup. My Orange Beef was dark red. Not what I was expecting but I tried to go on, this was my favorite. Smell, weird, sweet, some sort of spicing that was wrong, no orange flavor or citrus aroma at all, spice almost non-existent. The meat? was cut poorly into stringy straggly bits, of the 10 bites I tried my second was just gristle that had to be spit out and my last was such a large piece of fat and gristle that I completely gave up on the meal. I’ve never been so frustrated to waste $ 30 on a meal that we were barely able to eat.

The people who work here didn’t understand Chinese when I called to order. The person who helped me on the phone did not know how to pronounce Szechuan, and I should have taken that as a warning sign. My Szechuan chicken and shrimp had no shrimp. The fried rice was awful, the beef was very dry, and the ribs were hard and chewy. The food came relatively quick and the people were friendly. This is what earned them the two stars.

One of the better options for Chinese food in Angelo! When hubs first told me about it, he said it was«like Panda Express.» After having eaten there 3 times now I have to say it’s BETTER than Panda Express — more like Pei Wei for those of you who have had that pleasure. I LOVE the moo shu pork — it is very good(I’ve had it 3 times now) & the hubs loves the general tsao’s chicken. He orders the dinner portion all the time so he gets an eggroll and rice with his entrée. My Moo Shu comes with rice and pancakes to put the moo shu in. The orange chicken is also OK, but a bit too orangey for our tastes. We also like the Chinese donuts they have right now(I think they are a temporary menu item) — they are soft and sugary! YUMMM! The amount of food for the price is good and although hubs had some issues with wrong orders the first few times he went, each time I have gone they have gotten my order correct. The lady who took our order was SUPER nice and friendly and she got the whole order right the first time she read it back to us. I can’t remember her name but she was there on a Sunday when they opened at noon. We came in a little early and she politely told us they were not open yet but said, «PLEASECOMEBACKTHOUGH!» We waited outside in our car until it was noon & then went inside and ordered. Our food was ready quickly and it was all wonderful. Of all the other Chinese American options in town, this place will easily top our list every time. There are just 2 other places we’ve eaten at more than once for Chinese. In a town where the«best Chinese food is at the airport»(according to locals) this place is a winner all around! I hope they stay around for a long, long time — or at least until we move!
