My husband and I ate the West-​Tex burger, a regular cheeseburger, a BBQ dog, and sea-​salt fries with special sauce.
It was amazing! We travel through San Angelo about a dozen times a year and we’ve never found a good stop-​by restaurant despite trying forever.
After smelling the food we decided to pull over somewhere to give it proper attention (we should have just gone inside!) The burgers were juicy and the veggies were crisp. The fries had great texture and flavor. My husband complained about too much sauce on the BBQ dog, but he’s a whiner.
D-Ray’s is great. The service at the window was fantastic and they made sure to remember all of our road-​trip necessities like napkins and condiment packets.

This place has great tasting hamburgers & Fries. It reminds me of when Charcoal House Burgers with a good twist. Going back soon to try the Steak Fingers. I would bet they are just as good as the Olé Charcoal House steak fingers!
Give it a try… you will not be disappointed… Mmmm-​mm good food!

Went to the new location and ate breakfast. The best blue berry pancakes I’ve ever had and you don’t need syrup ! Very fresh and inexpensive. Our new breakfast place! David the owner was walking around making sure everyone was good! Great customer service

This restaurant has actually moved to the other side of town. Their new place has more seating and new hours. They are now serving breakfast 7 – 11 everyday.
I like their burgers and hand scooped shakes. The D-​Rays sauce for fries is really tasty as well.

Awesome burgers, great shakes, and a unique local experience.
The burgers here are classic, tasty, and really really good. The shakes are equally amazing and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I still need to try a dog and they do have a cool food challenge that you can try and tackle. The challenge involves eating a massive multi patty burger as fast as you can. The goal is to eat the most patties possible as fast as possible. I lack the stomach (pun intended) and the caloric overhead to give this a shot but I commend anyone who does.

I concur with all of the outstanding reviews of this place! The food is delicious and reasonably priced. If you are looking for a food challenge try the «great kahn burger» it is 16 patties with bacon and cheese. You have to be able to eat it in less than 23 mins. Good luck there is no way I could do it. If you are one of the brave few you get a tee shirt, the burger is half priced (24 bucks), and you get your picture on the wall (there are only 4 people who have done it ever). Good luck.
The biggest thing I come here for is the customer service and the atmosphere. Local businesses need your support they do so much for the comunity!

D-​Rays is a locally owned burger joint that offers large helpings and great customer service. Burgers, hot dogs, tater tots, and southern sweet tea are my favorites. The friendly staff will even refill your drink for you so you don’t have to leave your table. There is also a burger challenge that is very difficult but worth it if you dare. A 25 minute all you can eat burger pattie challenge awaits, but be warned. I currently hold the record with 15 patties in 23 minutes. So next time you’re at D-Ray’s, try Ryan’s meat burger…
