What a welcome change after years of oppression by the State store that previously lived here. Here’s why: * They’re open on Sunday. FINALLY. Have you gone to Mars Hill’s Sunday service and walked away, feeling like you’re going straight to hell? Now, you can go straight to the liquor store, instead. * They fill growlers. They’re cheap and usually have a decent selection. I picked up a Boneyard RPM refill the other day, and have filled up on Racer 5 and Lagunitas in the past. * The people working there now are actually nice. Younger lady working the register even gave my kid a sticker during check-out. Daddy drinks because you cry, but at least you got a sticker!!! Well done!

I really like this place. On my first visit, I was fully intending to walk out with a $ 35 bottle of Bailey’s, but ended up walking out with a $ 20 bottle of Duggan’s on the suggestion of one of their clerks. It was a great recommendation, not only because I saved the cash, but because I did a blind taste test with my fiancée and actually found out that I preferred the cheaper stuff. The selection is far more vast than what you’ll find at any of the area grocery stores, including Costco. Pricing is generally somewhere between Costco(low) and Safeway/QFC(high). They are also one of the few places that you can pick up the smaller sampler bottles of various liquors. I’ve never gotten a growler or keg here, but they do offer those services as well for those looking to purchase larger quantities of draft beer.
