The food was good, but not great. I liked that they asked if my gluten free bun was a preference or an allergy, I’m assuming they cleaned the surface if it was an allergy. The salad was tasty, but not amazing. It seemed expensive for what you get, but I would eat it again if I was in a pinch. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, but only seating for 4 people totally smooshed together inside. So don’t go on a cold/rainy day and expect to eat inside.

Superb food and impressive company practices. I wish the prices were a bit lower, but other than that I am a big fan!

I’m so grateful to finally have both a good sandwich shop near me and an organic place to eat. Issaquah and Sammamish have needed this for twenty years. The menu varies, everything I’ve had tasted good, and the staff are friendly.

I have never tried something on the menu I didn’t like. I have eaten many different lunch and breakfast sandwiches as well as the tomato soup and vegetarian chili(which is delicious, especially with feta!) and I come here often. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. The ingredients are all organic so they are always tasty and fresh. Highly recommended!

I have been here a couple of times now, everything I’ve had is great and I love the customer service. I had the pleasure of chatting with Luke and Josh today who clearly are passionate about the company and the food they’re serving. I will continue to go back and try something different every time.

I’m so happy to know of this place since Issaquah is low on good & healthy cafes. Everyone was friendly and the BLT salad was amazing with baby kale and ranch. It doesn’t have room to sit other than a couple stools at a counter but whatever. It’s all organic too.

I personally found this place to be great! I’ve come here a couple times and I really enjoy the foot and the quality of the food. Yes, sometimes it takes a bit long to make it, but it’s obvious that they take the time to make it well! This isn’t a fast food place to I don’t see a reason to complain about the wait. The place itself is very cute, and the people are extremely friendly! Whenever I come to visit my mother up in Sammamish I always come here!

My wife both got sandwiches here. While the sandwiches were good, they were small, expensive, and took 10 mins to get after we put the order in. The place is small, you either eat outside or take out. I was disappointed and wont be going back. I wish the Quiznos was still there. Bummer.

I liked the Homegrown in Redmond(with the exception of no decaf coffee for my husband) and was excited to try Sammamish. I went in and wanted to order a Latte… no expresso machine! I was so bummed! I was sooo looking forward to an alternative to Starbucks! I might go back for a sandwich sometime…

First off, I’d like to say my egg, ham and cheese sandwich on whole grain bread was delicious! I am removing one star for the amount of ham that was on my sandwich. There was literally one super thin piece. If I held it up to the light, I could probably see through it. I was expecting to see the amount of ham that is in the picture on their website(see attached picture). I am afraid to ask for extra meat next time since they will probably charge me a few extra dollars for another piece of transparent ham. Lesson learned: BYOH! As far as the people and atmosphere go, everyone was very friendly, but the restaurant itself is very small. There are four stools at a small counter if you want to eat inside and some tables outside. I don’t think the outside tables will be very popular during the winter. This is more of a takeout only place. I think I will be back, only because I want to try some other sandwiches. If they skimp on the meat again the next time, that will probably be my last visit. I feel I can get a comparable sandwich elsewhere that actually has meat on it.

A VERYWELCOME addition to the Sammamish Culinary Scene. Delicious Sandwiches with a conscience. Sustainable and Yummy!!! I recommend the Bacon, Egg, and Beecher’s Sandwich for breakfast.

Absolutely delicious sandwiches! Good service for how busy, small and cramped they were in that tiny little kitchen. It’s definitely quite a bit more expensive than your standard sandwich shop but the quality of ingredients were worth it. Also definitely recommend getting your sandwich to go unless it’s nice enough to sit out on the patio, there is borderline no indoor seating in that tiny space.

So disappointed to have to review this shop so poorly. What is most concerning is the lack of customer service and training of the employees. The first two times I attended the Sammamish shop, I paid extra to have avocado on my sandwich — both times I got home to realize they had forgotten. Disappointing considering I always tip at least 20% and the cost of food is already on the pricier end for a quick meal. Then the last time I was in, I found a HUGE spider in my beet salad(at least we know they don’t use pesticides!). When I approached the staff about it they reluctantly remade the salad, but was flabbergasted they did not offer any sort of discount on a future meal or any perk. They were apologetic… But still, HUGESPIDER. I paid $ 16 for a salad plus added protein and a cup of soup plus a $ 4 tip… $ 20 meal for one! I love the premise of Homegrown but am done with overpriced food and bad customer service.

It is about time that there is a great local sandwich shop in Sammamish! Sandwiches were awesome, fresh bread and simple flavorful ingredients. The service was quick and friendly. It was nice sitting outside too. We will be back.

Messed up order(forgot feta on salad), took way too long to prepare(they obviously forgot the order) and the 15 year old who made the salad drowned it in so much dressing in the end it was totally inedible. Despite the v poor selection of restaurants on the Plateau, I’m still not coming back!

I hear so many people rave about Homegrown so I gave it a try. I wasn’t too impressed. The sandwich was just ok and was overpriced. I understand that it’s all locally sourced but still… the quality of food wasn’t worth the money. I also need to mention that perhaps the owner/manager should spend some time working with the employees about customer service and how to make change. Not the friendliest cashier and I was also taken aback by her inability to give back change. I said I had the change but she ignored me and just rang up that I gave her $ 20. She was completely flustered when I handed her the $ 0.14 to go with the $ 20 and handed it back, saying it was«too hard» to figure out. Maybe I need to review Common Core for this?

$ 48 for 2 sandwiches, a salad, a kids meal and one drink!!! WOWZA. It was good, but for $ 52 i would much rather dine at a restaurant where i get to sit at a table and be served. Not to mention — we walked in and the cashier(appeared to be the mgr) just stood there. No greeting, no smile, no helping up with the menu, no suggestions. Just the standard«french bread or wheat?». We ordered«to go». No mention of how it works — wait outside or your number is… Expensive and unfriendly. I’ll make my next sandwich at home, thanks.

Oh wow. So good. Just bit into my caprese sandwich and it’s heavenly. So warm and delicious. Plus it’s all organic which is a bonus! The selection is so diverse I can eat here every week… And I may!

Great concept. All organic and fresh ingredients, local where possible. Everything is recyclable/compostable. So what’s up with the lack of vegetarian/vegan friendly items on the menu? And no fish at all. Not even a tuna salad. My husband and I are pescaterian and we go for fish/vegetarian food. I felt like the selection was very limited for us. One vegan salad(rest have meat in them) and two vegetarian sandwiches, one of those is not vegan. We don’t like to eat cheese so the caprese was out. I was left with one choice(hummus and roasted red pepper). To be fair, there are a couple of vegetarian choices on the breakfast menu as well and those are served all day. Prices seem a bit high too for the portion size but places that are eco friendly are definitely more expensive and I’m willing to pay up for that. To add on avocado to a sandwich was pretty pricey though! As for the food itself the ingredients are high quality. We loved the whole grain bread that the sandwich came on. The fillings themselves were ok. We felt like it lacked a bit of flavor and added hot sauce. The sandwich definitely could have used the avocado add on. The hummus is more of a chickpea spread but I liked it fine in a sandwich. My son downed his kid turkey and cheese warm sandwich, but he is not a picky eater(unless it is spicy or vegetables). The roasted beet salad was large. I opted for kale which was a good choice and it came with cucumbers and pickled onions(very good!). The amount of roasted beet made me want to laugh though. Two pieces of roasted beets! Granted they are large but wasn’t this supposed to be a roasted BEET salad? Because of the breakfast menu, we will certainly be back but I don’t see us making this a regular stop. Unless their coffee is really good. Seems to be a lack of good coffee options on the plateau.
