Not crazy about the lunch and dinner entrees, not much variety. But servers are down to earth for the most part. The dessert was amazing though. The cranberry almond cheesecake was one of the best slices of cheesecake I’ve ever had.

Twice I’ve been here around the lunch hour and both times the bar was filled with gun nuts, loudly blurting out their second amendment rights(written in 1776) and discussing the NRA(fear!). Fine, if you feel such a sense of inadequacy that you support your guns over the lives of school children, you are entitled to your opinions, however, you are not entitled to be a complete jerks and ruin everyone’s meal with your selfish hatred, cowards. The crowd was 70+. Why do old people suddenly turn racist and ignorant? We’ll never be back. Oh, and the food is pretty bad and the décor is very depressing. No natural light at all. I wouldn’t go here unless you have a Sara Palin air freshener hanging in your car.

Amazing food and huge portions. The special with the lobster was picture perfect. London broil was excellent, chicken jalapeño was good. Pulled pork was ok, sliced turkey was ok, and the fajitas were dry. The burger was excellent.

If you’re heading to Copperfield’s, you better come hungry because the portions here are huge. The steak can be as thick as a cake. The booths are not as comfortable as the regular tables. The bread could be better; some appetizers are the size of dinner plates. The nachos are probably their best appetizer, while the stuffed mushrooms are overpriced and average at best. Beverages are room temperature and you should ask for more ice. For the main course, the best meal is probably the burger. The pulled pork was very gamy. Avoid any fajitas at all cost; this is no Mexican restaurant. I had the eggplant parm. It was very sweet, but it was decent. Most of the food here is decent. Copperfield’s has the potential to become a better restaurant, as long as they work on some of their main courses and faster service.

Nice, quaint restaurant on 44 in Millbrook. Old world charm to it. You can choose from tables or booths or sit by the huge bar. Service was good, polite and fast server. Had a special, beef burritos with green salsa and rice, was very good. My wife had the Cajon chicken which was very tasty. $ 40 for those two dishes.

Love this place. Great food. Great bar. Copperfields burger is one of the best ever. Prime rib, seafood. One of the best nacho plates you’ll ever see. The booths are not very comfortable, but they offer tables as well. Reasonable prices and great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

You walk in and are hit with the smell of old beer soaked athletic socks. You wonder why. You order the pasta premavera and you are served a bowl of old beer soaked athletic socks.

Bleah. I have lived nearby for many years but never ventured in, simply on the grounds of appearances. I should have stuck with my gut. When we walked in, the place stunk of scallops or some sort of seafood. It turned my stomach and almost turned us around to leave. I wish it had. I had the prime rib sandwich. The au jus was nice and flavorful but the meat was lukewarm and the bread would have been so much nicer had it been toasted or crusty. It was mediocre at best. The fries were decent. My boyfriend had Chicken Anthony. It was awful, almost flavorless except there was actually a slightly offensive taste to it that I can’t even put my finger on. Campbell’s mushroom soup as a sauce would have been an improvement. This dish was promptly sent back to the kitchen as inedible. The service was meh. I don’t understand the crowd of regulars this place seems to have, unless they’re all at the bar. I won’t be back.

The wait staff is friendly and courteous, but the food isn’t that great unless you have it with an alcohol beverage or two. Otherwise you will notice the taste and texture of the food isn’t that great. The veal tasted like it been reheated several times and it lacks freshness. The pasta that comes with the veal taste like used soapy dish water. They give you very little nasty tasting pasta sauce. The nasty pasta sauce won’t hide the taste of the pasta The breakfast potatoes taste like cigarette butts and lack any good taste.

We were enjoying a lovely drive on the Taconic when food/bathroom/gas needs struck. Luckily there are no real rest stops on this road so we had to drive into a local town, and there was Copperfield’s. It was Friday afternoon doldrums between lunch and dinner so we were seated right away in a nice room lined with rustic tables. The server had just arrived and was friendly and thorough. As far as the food, I would say it did its job. I had the lunch burrito with eggs and sausage, though it was really a breakfast burrito available for lunch. The cream of mushroom Florentine soup was agreeable. And the chocolate chip pie was kind of an easy choice – eminently satisfying. There’s a bar area as well if you want to hang out and watch a game.

I was a little disappointed with the setup. It was not very comfortable there. We went to have a beer and hear the live band. The band was terrific.(The Differents). Just not a comfortable place to eat and chat. If you are looking to have a drink at the bar, that is fine. Although I did not have any food, I did notice a lot of fried food being served. Not my thing.

Copperfield’s used to be one of the best spots to go to get food Drinks laughs and a good time I have been going to Copperfield for several years and I have to say that their food quality service and just the overall atmosphere has gone downhill I was served moldy rolls that I was going to feed to my kids thank goodness I caught it my steak was raw my burger was wrong my soda was pure syrup And my waitress was horrible she had an attitude and nobody even said sorry for the moldy rolls the I was about to serve my children Copperfield is not the place to go anymore until it changes hands or they get better chefs and cooks or whatever the problem may be there maybe they need Chef Ramsey to come fix it whatever the case maybe Copperfield’s not the place to go I do not recommend it to nobody!!!

This review is being submitted after my second visit to Copperfield’s. The first visit was approx. a year ago when my wife and I each got the chicken cordon blue. The portions were huge! The chicken was cooked just right, juicy, tender and seasoned to perfection! It was over stuffed with thinly shaved ham and Swiss cheese, really good! It came with a big side salad and baked potato. Yum! My wife liked her dinner just as much as I did. In both visits the décor was very nice, clean, inviting, comfortable, quiet, nicer than average. They have booths and tables for you to choose from. Each visit we were greeted by the owner/manager with a friendly, welcoming greeting. In fact the manager remembered us from our visit last year! On our visit this time(sept 2012) my wife ordered the cheese ravioli which included a side salad, and warm fresh rolls. I ordered the broiled pork chop which included baked potato, sautéed vegetables(squash, zucchini, carrots, a small portion of corn on the Cobb, cauliflower, and broccoli. I loved the corn, never had corn on the Cobb offered in a veg medley), and a big side salad. We each ordered a crock of chicken barley soup as well. It was really good, lots of chunky! The portions were huge and the flavor was wonderful. The meat was tender, juicy and cooked perfectly. The ravioli was cooked just the way my wife likes it and the sauce was very tasty. I saw the other review where the patron was not happy with his seafood platter, saying the restaurant was using frozen fish. I was surprised to read that, so I asked the server and the owner independently of each other about their food being purchased frozen. Each told me all the meats, seafood, poultry and vegetables are purchased FRESH, not frozen from local suppliers and are never frozen before serving them. In fact their lobsters are purchased in Rhode Island in the morning by the owner personally, and served that same day evening! I am sorry this review is so long, so I will wrap it up now. We LOVE Copperfield’s and will gladly return each time we travel to Wassaic. By the way we live in Maryland. Go to Copperfield’s, get your eat on!

I come to Copperfields often and I’ve never had a bad meal there. The steaks are fantastic! Copperfields mainly uses Angus beef. I love the steak Fahitas and the cocktails are good to. The staff is friendly and courteous. While i’m not a seafood eater, friends that i’ve brought there that ordered the seafood loved it. Sometimes it is a bit too noisy at the bar, but when I mentioned it, the owner/staff quickly quieted the noisy crowd down. I would highly recommend that those that has never visited Copperfields should do so and those that have under the old ownership should revisit the restaurant and give it another try, you won’t be disappointed.

Copperfields menu is HUGE!!! Steaks, Seafood, Sandwiches… you name it, I think they serve it. The portions are huge but the quality of the food is so-so. My wife and I each got the broiled seafood platter but you could tell that the scallops, shrimp and tilapia were frozen and not fresh. I have been here before and got the prime rib but that was very fatty. The service was not that great either. We were seated in the back room and I think our waitress forgot about us. They have a bar which is pretty big and usually crowded.
