Baked wings. They’re tasty and not as bad for me as fried wings. The price per wing isn’t anything to go wild over, but I can always count on friendly service and a tasty meal at this regional chain restaurant. I often get the«buffalo chips» — baked potato slices — with Cajun spices on them. Good stuff! Several tvs for sporting events, and a good place to watch a big game.

I went to this restaurant with some freinds this weekend. The food was terrible, especially considering the price. The service was just as bad if not worse. It seemed like the wait staff was more than put off to help us. Which is more unfortunate for them, considering most of us had worked in the service industry and we’re all generally very good tippers. We only had a party of 8. Take into account that there were only three other tables at this time. It was SLOW. The waitress took our names down to make the check process easier. Another waitress came a few minutes later and asked who was on what check… The same thing the waitress did before. Oh well, whatever. We order our food and beer. It took approximately 7 minutes to get our beer. I believe they forgot about us? When they came to bring out the food, they were placing food everywhere… They never came to check in on us. But they were definitely attentive to their phones. We asked for some water later on, which again I caught the waitress on her phone. We probably waited 5 or so minutes for water. Anyway, I really hate leaving tips that are less than 20%. I HATE it. But I could not justify leaving more than 15% in this instance. I’ll NEVER go there again.

I really like the food here, baked wings are a nice change from deep fried. The prices however are ridiculous for what you get especially if you order a beer. Great people, good food but not a good overall experience.

I like wingnutz and what they are trying to accomplish. If you want non greasy wings with good flavor this is the place. Food is excellent. Love the buffalo chips here and a generous portion of sauce comes with your wings. Despite the great food I couldn’t give this location more than 3 stars because of the service. Waitress was rude and kept making excuses as to why she was so slow to check on us and to take our order and to refill drinks. Excuse every time! There are two other tables in the entire restaurant! Slow service and unenthusiastic waitress… Can’t seem to look passed it. I’ll come again at the co-worker request but won’t be choosing this location of my own choosing.

We love to go here, a little gem in Canyon Rim. They are always friendly and food is good. There was one time a year ago when the wings were OK, since then they have upped their game. Close, easy to get to, great parmesan curry wings!

Wow! Read a lot of reviews on this place! What struck me is the majority of the reviews are people that should NOT go to a restaurant because they are too picky. Seriously they can’t possibly be happy anywhere BUT home… That being said, don’t be deterred by the bad reviews! This is a great place to eat. Amazing food… It is seat yourself, like a bar, so you can’t always tell how long the wait will be, but HEY at least you get to sit at a table vs. standing in a lobby for 30 minutes. If you are short on time or wound a little tight, I might suggest calling ahead for wait time as they are a small operation, small kitchen and small staff! Wings are their thing, but the things they call hog wings and their buffalo chips are a must try! Enjoy!!!

The wings should be advertised sans sauce since that’s how they came. Got charged for the extra sauce requested to accompany my sauce-less wings. Apparently they only serve an ounce of sauce per eight wings, and each extra ounce is a dollar. This place is called Wing Nutz because you’ve got to be nutz to come here.

The wings here are baked. They are not bread coated. They are expensive. Go to Wing Stop.

I’m so happy eating here. I like coming here and eating some great wings. They are extremely accommodating and helpful when I mention I have celiac. Their menu is clear about what is GF and what isn’t. Their prices are reasonable, and their staff has been nothing but kind. Even upon coming in close to closing, they assured my boyfriend and I that we had plenty of time. I really enjoy this restaurant.

The wings are great, flavor is awesome, and they’re baked instead of fried. But, seems like every time I come here, the beer I want to order is always out. Usually it’s Devastator, but it’s happened a few times for others… which sucks!

We make a weekly lunch pilgrimage to this joint from research park. I love the owner. She is so friendly and fun! Most of the servers know what to bring us as soon as we walk in. I know the whole boneless and baked concepts are serious hangups for some. Personally, I like the idea that there is at least a little justification for stuffing wings down my neck on a weekly basis. I also like the fact that they will customize the heat if you ask. And, I developed a craving for one of their monthly special sauces and they have been kind enough to recreate it for me upon request. The spicy buffalo chips are great. They’re like fries with attitude minus all the grease. Give it a go if you haven’t already. Unlike the wild wings place, you can have some beers N wings, listen to tunes, and watch sports without having to scream at each other.

Got in late to SLC and looked for food that was open. Wing Nutz is advertised as open til midnight– score! It was about 11:30, and we got there at 11:40… it was totally closed. No lights on, no people even closing up inside– totally closed. Come on, if you’re going to close early randomly, list your hours accordingly.

Setting the bar impossibly low in the World of Nachos. How do you screw up something as basic as nachos? You think it’s impossible? My friends, I survived a Wing Nutz Large Chicken Nacho and I’m here to tell the tale. The Large Chicken Nacho is by no means *Large* – at least in the world of appetizers, meals, etc. The plate was about 14″ x 6″.(Note: I do fancy myself a bit of an expert in the field of nacho plate measurement standards.) The chips in the Large Chicken Nacho had an unpleasant texture, imagine that bag of chips in the back of your cupboard that is… maybe it’s 6 months old… or it might be the bag that is 1.5 years old… wait is that the bag that we’ve had when we moved apartments 2 years ago!!! Oh no!!! On top of the aforementioned chips is oozed a rank smelling cheese-ish substance. Not quite velveeta, not quite cheddar, unknown on many levels. The crowning achievement, though, on top of all of this, my friends, is the Chicken of the Large Chicken Nacho: the chicken that sat atop the lukewarm pile of chips + cheese looked like a grey, shredded fish substitute. Like salmon or tuna chunks out of a can. No doubt it was in fact chicken in some form, but the pre-packagedeness of this chicken substance will win no awards from the Chicken Famers of America Association, that much I will guarantee! This bagged/canned chicken substance must have been stewing in its packing juices for some time… stinking chicken juices* were slopped on to the baked chips + cheese for the 2 – 5 minutes time that the plate sat in a microwave /under a heat lamp before being served. This aromatic juicy mixture mixed into the corn chips, giving each bite a stink of bad cheese + bad chicken. Power combo!!! *Note also: I hate chicken, but it’s what my friend ordered and I told him I’d buy him a beer + appetizer for giving me a ride to watch the Utah game. I’m a good friend! But when it comes to nachos, I speak the truth! Wing Nutz earns an extra star for good beer menu and a server who knew what beers were new the menu. If I go back, I will just order a large beer and leave the food for everyone else.

Wanted to give it a shot. Miserably failed. Walked in to a non-busy bar, BYU and USU were playing, so were some MLB playoff games going. I seat myself and wasn’t acknowledged at all at the bar for fifteen minutes. The damning part of this all is that I was looking forward to eating here. I called ahead to see what hard ciders were served. Angry Orchard on tap? SWEET. After 15 minutes, the lady at the bar acknowledges I’m there and asks what I’d like to drink. I ask for an Angry Orchard. She asks for my ID. She then awkwardly goes into how hard apple cider is considered a «wine» so my choices last evening were to either be served in a tiny glass(alá sampler style) or in a carafe. Tell me what business a 26 year old needs a carafe for(by herself, mind you). Just get me a normal sized drink like normal people have — I thought. It would have been helpful having that disclosure when I did call in, you see. Major disappointment, waste of a drive. I politely let the server know I wasn’t going to order and left. I sympathize with her. I get the liquor laws in Utah are stupid, but a bar should make up for it in other ways, mainly: Amazing service, for which there is none at Wing Nutz. Not coming back. ***Drops the mic***

This is a go-to place for my husband and I. Neither of us eats much deep fried food, so a nice baked wing option is a big plus for us. We went there last night and had beverages in hand and appetizers ordered within 5 minutes(yes I order appetizers to go with my chicken wings, everyone needs an appetizer before an appetizer!). They always make your food fresh to order(so sometimes you will wait a few for your chicken, but hey, that is why I order appetizers). We always get the baked boneless wings. You will never have a juicier bite of chicken. They are delicious. You can’t go wrong with the oink wings also. Now my mouth is watering…

The service here is second to none! I have never been disappointed with anything I’ve had in the menu. The food has always been fresh and cooked to order. Their features sauce is always a safe bet and delicious. The TV’s on the wall make it a great place to catch a game or 5.

This is a great place to catch a game. They have tons of tv’s, wine, beer and real beer! The wings are baked, not fried. And those little potato pillows(buffalo chips, I think) are also baked to crispy-on-the-outside, deliciously-soft-on-the-inside, perfection. The place is always clean and the staff is always useful, friendly, funny, helpful and cool. Do yourself a favor; go here, eat nachos, be happy.

I stopped by the Milcreek location with Aimee C on Friday when we both decided that work was overrated. We walked in and I was a little surprised that we were the only customers in the place. Unfortunately the two people behind the bar must have been having a super important conversation because it took a little while for the waitress to even bring menus. It wasn’t a big deal, just something we noticed. I also noticed that she didn’t tell us about the specials though I did see it on the chalkboard outside. We got 12 boneless«wings» and a side for $ 6.99. We opted for mixed buffalo chips as our side and decided to make our meal healthy with a side of veggies and $ 2 Olympia beer, you know, since«It’s the water.» The buffalo chips were delicious. A cross between fries and chips. Okay more like fries that are in the shape of chips. I really liked the spicy ones dipped in the pool of sauce. I say«wings» in quotes because can they really be called wings without the bone? They were more like baked chicken nuggets, which I’m not opposed to. We got the jalapeño honey bbq and southern honey. I enjoyed the jalapeño but the southern honey was just okay. I think I’d try other spicy sauces when I go back. The side of veggies is what you’d expect. Carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, and tomatoes. All fresh so that’s good. Our meal felt pretty healthy. I mean, veggies and baked chicken are what healthy people eat, right? Overall, the food wasn’t the best ever but not bad at all. I’d go back again but it’s not at the top of my want list.

This was my second trip to a Wing Nutz here in the valley. There’s lots of locations and my previous experience at another had left something to be desired. So with open arms and the spirit of redemption, I gave Wing Nutz a second try. The location is one of the newest ones in the SL Valley. Its right off of 33rd South in the Millcreek area. Its a large location with plenty of table tops, high tops and a nice sized bar to sit at. One of the redeeming factors of Wing Nutz is their selection of on tap beers. So often in Utah its hard to find a nice casual hang out with alot of beers on tap. Wing Nutz can provide that. I had the boneless wings. I think I picked a 12 piece with two different flavors. My main beef with Wing Nutz still remains that they don’t just have regular hot, medium and mild wing sauces. I asked for medium wing sauce and was given the same question of «what type» that I was asked last time. So i reluctantly picked two different sauces in the spirit of trying something new. No one will call you Hooters if you have just normal wing sauce. Its not a bad thing. The service was pretty good. Over the course of an hour and a half we had two different waiters. I think this was the bump in service that was felt for the larger group. Other than that it did seem a bit like they were rushing us out the door at 11pm when I think they’re open till 1am. Like I said at the beginning they have lots of beers on tap. As a misplaced Texan, I’m happy to see that they have delicious Shiner Bock on tap. Its hard to find the sweet smooth flavor that only Shiner, Texas can produce on tap anywhere in Utah. Like most things alcohol and Utah, I’ll blame the difficulty I have finding it on the State of Utah. I would go here again and probably will. They’ve redeemed themselves as a brand after this most recent trip. I’ve decided the real value on their menu isn’t the bone-in wings but the boneless wings. The buffalo chips are still so so but I guess a good wing place might not invest much in their starchy sides.

It was late. Lots of people were in a post-circus induced haze(and by circus, I mean tequila), so we headed to Wing Nutz to get some grub. As the sober guy in the group, I feel it my duty to review things as they actually happened. I like the location. It’s right off of 33rd South, and not too far from the freeway so you’ve got good access. It wasn’t too busy, but I can imagine it gets a little loud with a few more hollering sports fans. Sports and wings are inseparable, so they’ve got the screens for your viewing pleasure. Our large and somewhat rowdy group pulled some tables together and we were off. Drinks came quick, we ordered, and the food took a little longer than you’d think it should. The menu’s pretty simple: wings, boneless wings, pork wings. Other stuff too, but we just wings except two in the group who were vegetarians and got a veggie quesadilla. When the food did arrive, it was about what I expected. Wings, dripping with sauce(parmesan curry and bbq for me) with a little dipper of ranch. Because bleu cheese is disgusting, that’s why. They brought a chicken quesadilla instead of veggie, so my poor new friends had to sit and wait for their food. I don’t automatically expect that they would be comped, but I didn’t see a lot of apology either. Still, one botched experience does not a condemnation make. It happens, and hopefully not very frequently. I liked the boneless wings. If you can even really call them wings at that point. I’ve got no beef with the chicken, but it’s pretty much a chunk of breast at that point. Slathered in sauce. Sure! I tried one of David E’s hogwings(?) which was a little bone-in ribby meat jewel. It has my attention. My late night encounter was mostly positive for food. I’d have to go back and watch the service again to see if they were just a little off their game. It was getting late by the time we left so I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt. Maybe I’ll be back to watch a game or after another late night event.
