This is a cool, little, neighborhood park. Although I don’t think it’s an official«dog park,» there are usually a few, if not many, mostly OFF-leash dogs running around, despite the numerous signs warning of fines for unleashing. I’ve never seen any out of control or aggressive dogs, so I’m not complaining at all. The city provides doggy poop bag dispensers and most people are good about cleaning up after their four-legged friends. There’s also a nice little playground for the kiddies and a small pavilion with a single picnic table. The park is small, but usually isn’t crowded and is in a great location. Can you dig it? I can!

This is another smaller one, tucked away on the East side. It has a very decent-sized playground, with a good array of rocks ringing the entire thing, which seems to be a good draw for the children to crawl up(though smaller ones definitely need to be monitored on the way down). It has facilities, but they tend to be more often locked than not and a very large field. There is also, I believe, some sort of little path through the trees. There is a shaded small picnic kiosk as well. Parking is fairly minimal, but most people seem to walk to this one, I’d say. The reason this one is not rated higher is that the playground is not shaded at all, which tends to diminish usefulness considerably. It also seems to be somewhat questionably maintained.

This is a nice little park with restrooms and fountains that are better than most of the parks. There is a good playground for kids. A small picnic area and a lot of well maintained grass for playing fetch or frisbee, etc. What makes this park stick out aside from upkeep and space is the walking trails along the little creek. Supposedly they are working on extending this but they’re still big enough to wear kids and smaller dogs out for now. I have however heard rumors about the water possibly not being the best. Supposedly Hoogle Zoo runs off in it — so lots of down stream parasites — so again who knows if it’s true but I figured I’d pass that along.

This park has a nice playground, bathroom facilities, and an open grassy area that is perfect for pinics or fetch with the dogs. It is a quiet oasis in SLC and a family favorite.
