Friendly staff, don’t let the hotel or area fool you. Good Chinese, impressed with the food, the egg drop was decent but the orange chicken tasted good!

Stopped here for lunch after landing at the airport. Off the beaten path, but a short 5 minute drive from the airport. Sunny’s was not crowded. They have these killer lunch specials for $ 6, but went for the Fish and Bean Curd stir fry which was very, very good. What also was really good was the soup that came with the meal. It was vegetable soup, but it had a little tomato based with spices… Just terrific! The very nice waitress Tiffany even offered me seconds when I mentioned this. I will definitely come back.

We went to Sunny’s Bistro after hearing they have jja-jang-myun(black bean noodle) and jjam-pong(spicy seafood noodle). Although we were aware that it might not taste exactly like it does in Korea, we were disappointed. The jja-jang-myun was a bit too bland and the seafood noodle tasted too fishy. However, their noodles are house-made and is very good.

On a business trip, I was very surprised to find a taiwanese place with good reviews on the edge of SLC. I tried the seafood noodles, and they were very yummy, especially being on travel. It is an odd location, but that didn’t bother me. My co-workers both liked their entrees as well, though I can’t remember what they ordered.

We would give it a solid 3.5 stars if there is such an option. Price is really cheap compared to other American styled Chinese restaurants in SLC. However you get what you pay for. We ordered beef fried rice, Taiwanese noodle soup, tempera squid, fried chicken and garlic sauce and spicy wontons. Food is fresh but the taste is average. There was only one girl running around when we were there, so we had to wait for a couple minutes to get seated. The service was really good! The waitress was really sweet and helpful. The other guy was really friendly and patient too! Overall it’s a nice place

Food is good and I would have ordered here much more often but sometimes they don’t answer the phone. I’m not sure why but their menu says free delivery within 3 miles but every time I order they says it’s not offered that night. What is a gat boy to do?

Sunny’s isn’t bad! The chow mein — thank God — is really low mein and the noodles are good. The lemon chicken wasn’t bad. It’s Utah and you can get a drink here. The price is great and soup is included. It’s the Airport Inn restaurant and you are next door to Advantage Rental. It’s real convenient and service was pleasant.

What a great little find in SLC! Lunch starts at 11 which is good for me since I’m from the East Coast. Started with the hot and sour soup which was the best I’ve ever had. Large portion so be prepared for that but solid chunks of chicken, tofu and mushrooms. Excellent broth! Then had the shrimp with hot garlic sauce. They served the sauce on the side which was very nice. The only thing I didn’t realize is the shrimp were fried and while I was able to pull off most of the breading, it would have preferred grilled shrimp!

Dinner may be good? We did not have dinner! How ever. they do offer breakfast service with the hotel! We went in simply for a cup of yogurt. The waitress and the manager have no name tags. The short waitress seem pissed off that we asked for coffee, we asked for you but wanted to know what kind it was? She told us it was yogurt. Is it strawberry is that vanilla? She replied it’s just yogurt! So we obviously just asked for yogurt, when we asked for cream for our coffee we were given French vanilla. We took cream off a different table. While sitting there waiting for our yogurt. Another couple walked up and refill both of their coffee cups! They said they didn’t have any cream, I gave them some cream I took off a different table! We waited 10 more minutes being there 25 minutes! We askeyd what may have been the manager for our yogurt. She said they are lined up to come out in order of received order. Being as there was no one else to ask for yogurt And we sat there for 35 minutes we just got up and walked out. I would advise the owner of the hotel to cancel the lease of the restaurant! !! Or the owner of the restaurant to fire their morning employees even if they are the children The service totally sucked probably the worst service I’ve ever ever had along with attitude attitude attitude both visual and verbal!

If I could I would definitely give this place a solid 3.5 stars. I had the beef rice bowl & the shrimp tempura appetizer. Actually the tempura shrimp was quite good & it didn’t even need the sauces at all. The beef rice bowl was just OK but seriously nothing to brag about. The waitstaff was excellent! Very nice & speedy service. According to other reviews, the beef noodle soup is where it’s AT. It says right on the menu that the noodles are made in-house. Sorry to be a hater, but what I ordered was just average.

Beware: not noted in their listing is the fact that ½ hour before they close they stop seating for meals, taking only to go orders. Really disappointing. Came on the weight of Unilocal reviews. Left hungry.

It may not look like if from the outside(or heck, even the inside), but you would be somewhat foolish not to at least give Sunny’s Bistro a try. The little restaurant is located in the Airport Inn Hotel lobby, right next to the pool. The food here really isn’t bad at all. As a matter of fact, it’s at least considerably better than some other take-out Chinese food establishments. While here, I had the opportunity to enjoy the Mongolian Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, and some of the chow mein dishes. None of them felt over-sauced, and more importantly, over-salted. The prices are very reasonable, too, with dinner not costing you more than $ 10 for a dish with rice and soup. It’s honestly worth a visit if you’re staying in the attached hotel.

This place is attached to the Airport Inn, down the street from the major hotel chains, Radisson and Candlewood Suites, etc. Got the beef Taiwanese soup after reading reviews and it was a great choice! It comes in a large bowl with lots of homemade noodles, beef, scallions and bok choy. Perfect as a meal for one or as a starter for two. The waitress was friendly and attentive, far exceeding expectations for a small motel restaurant. Overheard her recommend the seafood noodle soup to another table and sure it’s just as delicious!

Seriously, I have worked right near this place for years and I never even knew it existed. It is truly an off-the-beaten path location and located in a hotel lobby. Enjoyed a lovely bowl of beef noodle soup, which is big enough to serve two people and still have enough to take home. Also tried some shrimp curry. Tasty! Had a couple glasses of wine too. The service was personal, friendly and prompt. I will work this place into the lunch rotation. They have a killer lunch deal for $ 5.99, which includes an eggroll, fried wontons, salad, soup, rice and an entrée.

Good food(pretty typical Chinese) in a dark seedy area on N Temple near the airport attached to a cheap motel. I ordered a bunch of food to go including, spicy wontons(yum), tempura prawns(yum), spare ribs(yum), and beef noodles. I took it all to go, so I bet would’ve been better sizzling right there at the table. I came about 45 mins before closing, so they said they were«only offering takeout.» Give them a try!

My family and I were staying by the airport and decided to walk down the street to Sunny’s for dinner. When you walk through the entrance of Sunny’s Bistro, you’ll see all the awards they’ve won for being the best Chinese food in the area. Pretty sure it’s from lack of competition, but Sunny’s is very affordable and the food is fine. Not amazing, but okay. We shared the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, Kung Pao Chicken, Seasonal Vegetables, and Shredded Pork & Bell Pepper. The menu says that they are supposed to come with daily soup and rice, but we got no soup! Oh well. The beef noodle soup was definitely the highlight of the dinner with its well-flavored and chewy noodles. Also came in a massive bowl and is definitely more than enough for one. The two meat dishes were standard. The vegetables were very unremarkable. Our waitress had recommended this dish to us, but we couldn’t figure out why. The service here is friendly, but slow. And we weren’t offered tea, unusual for a sit-down restaurant. I wasn’t sure whether to give Sunny’s a two or a three, but after factoring in the affordable prices, convenience, and existence as one of the only Asian food spots in the area, decided to round up.

Sunny’s Bistro is truly a hidden gem. Even as someone who works right by the airport I did not know of this place until a coworker introduced me to it — and honestly had I driven past it I’d have said not a chance, this is part of a pretty shabby old motel complex. In real estate it’s location location location, in the case of Sunny’s it’s location location… no problem! Don’t be fooled by appearances and even the somewhat kitschy interior and sticky floors, it’s all about the food here baby! The lunch specials here are incredible, large super tasty portions, plenty of variety and all at an unbeatable price(see the picture). My favorite is the Chicken Chow Mein. Lunch specials start with the days soup followed by Bento Box style entrée which has your main item, egg roll, fried wontons, salad and choice of rice(steamed or ham fried). It’s heaven in a compartmentalized box form! Another favorite of mine is the Beef Noodle Soup. Go hungry! It’s huge and all you need for a full meal. Service is also good, pretty fast and always very friendly.

Unless you have business being near the airport, the chance of you visiting this place is quite slim. I happened to be attending at convention near that area. It was also nice to visit a Chinese joint without people recognizing me. The restaurant is actually attached to a somewhat rundown hotel with some seating with pool view. I ordered the Three Seafood Noodles Soup, the noodles were written as «Chow-Ma Mein» in Chinese, and I think it was just a thicker type of noodles. It came with an egg roll, which tasted ok. The noodle arrived in big bowl with many seafood and veggie flowing on top. There were fish ball, mussels, a piece of swai, shrimp, scallop, squid, etc… It was not spicy at all for me. The noodles had the right level of tenderness. Aside from the location disadvantage, Sunny’s Bistro seems to be a decent place to get a bowl of noodle soup in the airport area. It was indeed a hidden gem. I believe Sunny’s daughter served me, she was quite nice, and provided great service.
