I had a good experience the first time I went here. They treated me well and went the extra mile. I can’t say the same for the second time I went. I guess it’s just hit or miss.

We went once and didn’t have a great experience(poor paint job that chipped by the next day). But our kids love the stupid Hello Kitty chairs and always beg to go. We decided to give it one more shot. We had three adults and two kids in our group. One of our technicians was very nice. Another technician kindly touched up our kids toes twice when they smudged them. However, once again the paint job on our pedicures was seriously lacking. Just looking at it now is pissing me off … Not smooth, air bubbles, a slight smudge on my big toe. Argh. The skin on the bottom of my feet is basically no different then when I went in, which is the whole point of getting a pedicure. By the time I saw what a poor job my pedicure was I decided not to get a manicure. Also, customer service was not great. They were somewhat insulting and not very friendly.

I dig this place. Pretty good pricing and I really like the technicians. Nice ladies. Took my party of 7 same day.

I’ve been going to PK Nails for seveal years. Rarely have problems. They worked with me when my fingernails were bloody stubs below the nail line. My nails aren’t much stronger, but they’ve grown well past the nail line and don’t hur anymore. My cuticles aren’t cracked, torn and bleeding. I started using the shellac(??) polish on toes and feet; lasts so much longer. You have to be careful… thee are articial nails, and you have to keep up with it. It can get expensive, but it’s worth it! I feel so much better about myself, and now use my hands freely and expressively. They are pretty fast — a bonus! Don’t bother with the«special» pedicre, but do try the parrafin. Great place to get brows waxes, too! I’ve also had nail art done… fun!

I arrived at P K Nails at 6:45 to get gel nails. The door said they close at 7:30 so I was comfortable walking in. One technician had me sit down and immediately started on my nails. I was the only customer there. I felt uneasy because the technician seemed to be going really fast and acted annoyed. At one point, she cut deeply into the cuticle of my thumb and it bled quite a bit. As she put on the gel, she didn’t allow hardly any time for the nails to sit under the light to set. I was alarmed but didn’t say anything. As she was finishing at 7:15, she explained that they close at 7:00 in the winter and not to come so late. I apologized and explained that the door said 7:30. She shook her head and repeated, «No, we close seven.» The next day, I noticed the gel was lifting on four of my nails! I went back that evening and was treated very rudely. Not only would they not give me a refund, they insisted that I had picked at my nails. I will never go back to this place and would not recommend it to anyone.(It’s not even a cheaper salon.)

Although my toenail was punctured and blood was present my heels are silky smooth. I don’t know if I’ll go back again as its out of the ways from where I live.
