I just started playing so I really don’t know much about golf. So it’s hard for me to say if a course is fun to play or challenging. What I can comment on is that the Murray Parkway Golf Course doesn’t seem very well maintained and it isn’t a very pretty course. It’s most big and open, flat, with few trees and not much to look at. Prices were typical, $ 22 I think for 9 holes with a cart. Staff was fine.

Time for a 5-year update. The pace issues have been largely rectified and we usually get around in a cromulent amount of time, these days. The grill here is awesome! At many golf courses, you want to eat prior to arriving. Not the case at Murray Parkway. Eat here! It’s delish. Everything about the course itself is really very nice and fine and good. The fairways, greens, bunkers and tee boxes are usually in very good, or great, shape. There are some major challenges here, beginning with the giant, daunting, lake on the first hole. If you can get past #1 unscathed, you can head into the rest of your round, feeling good, feeling strong, feeling confident. OR… you can walk off the first green with a snowman. I’ve done both. MP is a lot of fun and seems to attract a fairly high level of golfer. Go here. Have fun. Good luck!

This golf course is a great Bang-for-you-buck kind of place. The driving range and green fees are reasonable for a course that is maintained and played by a wide range of golfers. The back 9 is really fun to play.

Played the front 9 a few days ago. Decent course. Fairways were all in good shape. One or Two of the greens needed improvement. Honestly the most deterring factor that made me decide i will never go back, was the rest of the golfers playing the course. On the second hole we had some old, low class, citizens yelling at us while we took our shots because they thought we were playing too slow. In actuality we ourselves were waiting on the tee for the group ahead of us. Multiple times these guys yelled, cussed, and insulted us. If that wasn’t enough, they would tee off when we were in the middle of the fairway coming within 5 feet of us. We were so disappointed that when we returned our cart we mentioned it to the pro shop and they told us the group of TWELVE that we had the problem with are very frequent regulars. Can’t play with trashy dudes, sorry parkway.
