At first I really loved living in Cobble Creek, however, then a smoker moved in below my apartment and their tobacco smoke began to infiltrate my place. I contacted the office several times to remedy the situation and they stated they«sealed my pipes» as well as the smokers however the smoke continued to come up. I have only a few months left on my lease and would like to vacate the apartment, however, they are unwilling to accommodate me and apparently the lease allows for the complex to do this to its tenants(allowing tobacco smoke to drift between apartments and not fixing it). It’s incredibly frustrating and now my home reeks constantly and I am stuck in a place I no longer wish to live. So just be warned that even if you are a non smoker, your place may end up still smelling like smoke.

Beware of BEDBUGS and HORRIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL property manager! Amongst all the paper work you sign the bed bug addendum, which is unheard of in any apartment complex lease unless there really is an issue and they will cover it up by having you sign they bed bug addendum to cover their end. I was never given a copy of it and when we took the notice they left on our door about the bill of $ 1150, to our lawyer, he was floored as well. He’s lived in Utah for over 30 years and has never heard of any apartment complex having a bed bug addendum until now let alone how horrible the property manager was with her approach to our situation. HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE and no care for the tenants well being. This apartment complex at first we thought was worth our money. We learned the hard way and it is not. Definitely a catch 22 case! By far one of the worse property managers I’ve ever encountered. We bought all our furniture brand new except our bed that was 2 years old, fairly new and was in a great storage facility. These apartments are from the 70s and although they do a good job in renovating them, doesn’t change the issues that come with them. Cobble creek is very deceiving to the eye with its beautiful grounds but please beware of its not so great staff, not all of them are that bad, and also their hidden fees and on the daily notices on your door. We are looking forward to moving out as soon as our lease is up. We will be warning families and others.

Don’t talk to Devan McPhie or the Property Manager at the office because she can care less about you. we recently have been experiencing some sort of bites once we moved into the Cobble Creek apartments and couldn’t figure out if it was bed bugs or spider bites. after 2 months of living in the apartment this started happening and so we notified the front office and they sent over Thorton Pest Control that decided they’ll do a bed bug treatment and told us not to tell any of the neighbors what they’re doing so no one knows. I spoke to one of the workers and he said that the front office wanted him to get proof of the bed bugs. 2 weeks later we get a bill for $ 1000 and Cobble Creek apartments stating that it was our fault for bringing in Bed bugs. 1. that was a blind side bill because the office said they would take care of it by sending over pest control. 2. Thorton Pest control told us there is no proof where they came from and we didn’t start getting bit until moving in. 3. Devan McPhie is a property manager and doesn’t want to pay for the bed bug treatment because she says a(unknown) tenant says we brought it in. and the Pest control told her the age of the bugs are around the same time we moved in. like we started making bed bugs??? Be Aware tenants of who does repairs or treatments in your apartment because they will make you pay for those things if they don’t want to.
