Didn’t realize we had been here when we made the reservation. Great little place! We came on a Saturday night when the Belly Dancers were performing Although they were short staffed, the main cook took good care of us! She recommended food for us, wine and served us the best tasting coffee I have ever had We will be back!

We went there on Saturday night luckily it was snowing so, it wasn’t as busy as normally. Food was excellent. We had chicken shawarma and chicken pastille, Hamus and Baba ganuch ! All was good. After our meal we had hooka my friend had grape flav and I had mint which wasn’t that good ! Belly dancer was amazing, she danced pretty good. Only little thing I would like to see it improved is having water available on tables at all times.

If you are in the mood for crabby hookah and dealing with an incompetent staff you have found the right place. It took forever to get seated at a almost empty restaurant and the hookah was the worst I’ve ever had. I will not be coming here again.

Delicious! I went 15 mins to close for the lunch buffet and everything was still so good! This was my first time eating here and I was very impressed. The service was wonderful! I think it was the owner helping the waitress. She was darling and so helpful. I will be returning!

For starts, they take reservations which seems to be hard to come by. I would also suggest getting one because it is very crowded. After leaving this place I felt as though we were family leaving. It is a family run business and the owner was greeting us and served us and made incredible suggestions. The food was incredible and I will most definitely come back and brig all of my out of town friends here.

Fantastic. I had the chicken pastile and the lamb tangine. The lamb was tender and fully flavored. The pastile was everything I love about Turmeric and Morrocan-based food. The service was also very good because they see that even though we didn’t know we needed reservations. I liked it so much, I’m going back next week!

The very bad experience, we have wait one and half hours to get our meal, and we waste two hours and half to get check, the manager come out told us because we want spilt the check and use the groupon. If you do not want a meal in hours wait, I hope you not choose this restaurant

I have been here a few times, and there are dishes here that are very good while others are just okay. I like the lentil soup and the chicken tagging best. Service could be on point or slow at times. Again the consistency is not always there. I will be back though because it is very close to me.

I was wholly underwhelmed. I paid ~$ 35 for a beef dish and a chicken dish. I had a salad and soup. The soup was basically chili with lentil beans. I had a salad, and was given the choice of ranch or vinaigrette. I chose ranch. I was served vinaigrette. I figured one small mistake was nothing to boo hoo about. I had already selected my entrees. I waited for an hour and twelve minutes for it. I had also asked for a side with my beef plate. That didn’t happen. I tried the chicken, and I had the texture and consistency of the kind of meat you would find at the dollar store lots of fat an gristle. Portions? For $ 17 you would think I would get a decent portion. I got half a chicken breast. I figured the beef looked good enough. Nope. It was more salt than beef. My night out was ruined, as far as the food went. Seriously guys, stay away from this place.

If I could give negative stars for service, I would! However 5 stars for the food! We were excited when we found a groupon for Cedars of Lebanon because we had always wanted to try it! We made a reservation(glad we did, they turned away many without one!) and were excited for the new experience. The atmosphere was amazing. Belly dancers, huka, all very fun. Our meals were one of the best we have ever had in our lives. The reason I am only giving four stars is the service was beyond terrible. We sat for an hour with empty glasses, no one took notice. We got our appetizer an hour and a half after we were seated. I echo other Unilocal reviews, they put on this air of being exclusive, yadda yadda, It was a bit ridiculous.

This place is a neat place thrown in the middle of Salt Lake City. I have never noticed it before but I’m glad I went. We went on a Tuesday evening and there weren’t too many people there. We sat in the Hookah Lounge and it was great. I sat in a little cushion while date sat on the couch on the other side of our little coffee table we were eating at. It’s a unique feel eating here. There are options for normal seating though. Our waiter was a nice Russian guy, which I found amusing. He checked on us quite a bit and was great! We stayed there for a long time just hanging out on the couch after our meal and he didn’t act annoyed or anything. He did get our order wrong but it was ok. The food was amazing. I have nothing but good things to say about the taste and presentation of the food. I would recommend eating here for the experience and food. Pricey but worth it.

Service agonized over the fact that we had no reservation even though there were at least four open tables through the entire time we were there. Waitress shoved food menu in front of my face as I was looking at the beer menu. Ordered beef shawarma. Rice and vegetables were too salty. The beef shawarma though was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. So if you want to put up rude service that acts like it’s part of some super exclusive restaurant to have amazing beef shawarma, go for it. I hate to admit it but I’ll probably be back. It’s that good.

Came here for dinner on Friday night for their dine o’round deal! Service was extremely slow and took a while for our waiter to bring our silverware and waters… with that being said, I ordered the chicken schwarma and it was delicious. It came with really fresh rice, and the chicken was topped with this really good garlic yogurt sauce.

What a great place! Who knew salt lake would have a place like this. We loved the atmosphere, the entertainment and service. The belly dancer was super pretty and danced beautifully. But let’s get to the real reason for going… the food! The food was awesome. We started out with the hummus and pita bread — on point! Super yummy! Probably some of the best hummus I’ve ever had. We then had falafel and I didn’t like it. Neither did anyone else in our group. Strange spice in it. Then we went with Lebanese chicken shawarma– hard pass not much flavor and dry Then… This changed my world forever with lamb and I don’t like lamb so that is saying a lot. We got the lamb tagine and it was mind blowing. Perfect amount of spices and curry sauce over the meat and rice. It was wonderful. We also got chicken tagine and incredible also but for sure the lamb next time. Would we go back? Yes! For the lamb and hummus

Nothing to complain at all! Our waiter Ivan was courteous and friendly. We got two hookah and hummus, baba ganoush with pita bread. Don’t miss the falafels! Chicken tagine is a must. We missed the belly dancers though.

This is a sweet little so if you’re in the mid for Mediterranean food. I had the lamb pastilla and found it delightful. The rice and vegetables that came with it were sweet and delicate. I’ve never enjoyed red bell peppers like that… The service was polite and friendly.

I was in Salt Lake earlier this week for work(specifically June 15, 2015) and went with a coworker thinking we’d try something unique and different. While the food was, for the most part, good, the service was beyond abysmal. We were seated right away, but the server was clearly distracted. He came flying passed our table promising to be with us in just a second … more like 10 minutes later. Our drink order took forever to arrive, and the wine I ordered was wrong, and fixing it took another 5 or so minutes. The hummus was good, once it arrived(see a pattern here), as were the warm pitas, but the lentil soup, which we weren’t told came with the meal until it was being delivered was lukewarm to cold. During the long pause between the arrival of the hummus and the meal(chicken kabobs and beef shawarma) the server never stopped at the table to ask how we were doing, or to inquire about whether we needed new drinks, or even to notice whether the water glasses were full. When I finally nabbed him, I called all of this to his attention, and asked why nobody had been by to fill up the waters, or to ask if we wanted another round of drinks, or to give us an update on the food situation. Amazingly, the drinks were filled quickly. Service sped up, but the damage was already done. My colleague said that the chicken kabobs were good. The beef shawarma, on the other hand, was leathery tough, almost as if the cuts were filled with gristle. I’ve had shawarma before, and it has never been that tough. The rice, however, was fragrant, aromatic, and a joy to eat. But I didn’t come there for rice. Clearly wanting to get us out of the store, even though nobody else was coming in, the server didn’t bother to ask whether we were still working on our plates, wanted dessert, another round of drinks. His only comment, «Are you done?» Well, really I was done with the crass, inattentive, and self-absorbed service, and I was done with a plate of shawarma filled with virtually inedible meat. I highly doubt that I’ll be heading back. Since I have friends who will be attending a convention in SLC next week, I’m also advising them to skip Cedars, for someplace a bit more attentive, and friendly.

We were in three and all of us loved this restaurant. I don’t know why it isn’t rated higher because we will absolutely be coming here regularly. First of all the Homous is the best in the world. I am a raw vegan who eats Homous(hummus) as a regular part of my diet and this Homous is the best I have ever tasted. I could eat a whole meal of this alone. If you go here you must try it. The Red Lentil Soup is equally as good. It is a hot soup that makes my mouth water just reviewing it. So between the Homous and the red lentil soup you have your appetizers. Then, I ordered the Yalla Vegan Platter which is a sampler of the most popular items on the menu. I almost couldn’t finish it because there was so much food on the plate. My colleagues were very pleased with their Greek Salads, which were huge. The service was excellent, the ambiance was superb, and the food was more than excellent. I will be a regular here when I am in town!

I was really excited to try this spot. I found a groupon and was sold that this was the spot for my weekly dinner out. I am sad I wasted my night out here. First off, the pita that came with the hummus looked like it came directly out of a package. To make it worst, half of it was warm, half cold, as it had most likely just come out of a microwave. The food was mediocre at best, and tasted like it had been flavored with salty goya seasoning packets. We both had disappointing meals that just tasted like salt and fake seasonings. Not what I expected from a Lebanese restaurant. I would not go back. Find authentic food somewhere else.

Visiting town for work. This restaurant was recommended by a local and another visitor I know. EVERYTHING was delicious! I had one of the best pastillas I have ever had. I can’t wait to come back.
