This place is top notch. My boyfriend was in need of a suit and he decided that he might as well go all out and get a really nice suit so he doesn’t have to buy another one for a long time. He went in for a fitting with Dustin and the experience was fantastic! Dustin listened to what my boyfriend was looking for and made suggestions, all while letting him make the final call. This is the place to go if you want to fully customize your suit down to the type of fabric and lining!
The suit takes time to be made of course but they keep you in the know and when it’s ready, you go in for another fitting to make sure everything is just right.
The service is killer and the suit looks insanely beautiful. The price is high but it’s worth it!

What an outstanding experience! It started with reaching out via the web site to schedule an appointment for a fitting. Tanner got back to me quickly and was extremely flexible with a time and date that worked for my schedule. The fitting experience was extraordinary, and I learned a lot about what a great suit should be. Tanner walked me through many patterns and choices for constructing my suit. I only planned to buy one, but I had to get two! Within about 5 weeks Tanner called me to invite me in to try on my new suits. They were perfect. On top of high quality, Tanner… The man knows his stuff!

I am well rounded in quality and craftsmanship due to me being a high end tailor, my customers know what the quality means and this is the place I always refer people to come, because they will have an exceptional service and product. In fact I bought a suit for my husband from them and it’s perfect!

So how often have you tried to buy a suit with the jacket fitting, but the pants were off or vice versa. For most males, they can buy off the rack do a few adjustments and be ready to go. Then you have people like me that are in that perennial gray area between a 40R and a 40S, where the short is too short, but the regular is just a tad too long. Where the waist on the pants fits, but the pant legs are too tight or the pockets flare out massively because there is no adjustment made for wider hips.
Enter Beckett & Robb. Made to measure from head to toe. I came to know of this place because my classmate’s brother is the head guy in the downtown SLC location. Let me tell you this, Tanner knows his stuff. I know my way around a suit fairly well, but what Tanner knows if far and beyond my knowledge. I was a little hesitant at first because I didn’t think they’d be able to cut my suit just right, but thankfully I was wrong. I ordered a black suit for a wedding. The price beat what Nordstrom and other retailers were offering for similar suits, but the biggest selling point is that it was designed specifically for me.
Once the suit was ready (5 – 6 weeks later, don’t expect a quick turn around time), I went in for a trial fitting where any final adjustments could be made. I sort of freaked out when the pants didn’t fit because I thought it couldn’t be fixed. I go back a week after alterations and they fit amazing. The suit looks great. The price, in my opinion was very reasonable, and the style of suit I got was something I wasn’t able to find anywhere else. Best thing yet, when you’re ready for a new suit, they have all your measurements so all you have to do is pick out your fabric and style and you’re all set, unless you either gained or lost a lot of weight.

Fantastic experience with Tanner during my fitting. This is going to become a new habit — a new way of buying clothing. I’ve paid more at Nordstrom for a quality dress shirt that was not tailored. To pay less than I do at a top retailer for a shirt designed by me, to my specifications and fitted to my body, is an exciting new experience.

There comes a time when a man needs a real suit that really fits him. I have a closet full of suits that kinda fit me and I was tired of it. I live half the year in NYC and have plenty of options there, but at a much higher price. I’ve tried cheaper places online like Indochino, but ultimately ended up giving them to Salvation Army.
I found these guys on Unilocal and thought I would swing by and check it out. Tanner was really helpful and asked a lot of questions about the type of suit I was looking for. The fundamental decision you need to make is the type of material you want. They have dozen of books of fabric swatches to pick from. Something like over 10,000. All really high quality stuff from Italy and elsewhere.
I decided to come back the next day and go for it. I ended up picking a light grey fabric for my first one. The fitting took about an hour to figure out all the options I wanted. Tanner was really patient and helped guide me through the options and give me feedback on what looked most flattering. He helped me understand the details a little better and was really knowledgable.
When it was all said and done, I ended up with a 3 piece suit and a custom dress shirt for around $ 1300 with tax. Something similar in NYC would have cost me $ 2000 easily.
I’ll update this review when I actually get the suit back in 6 – 8 weeks, but I feel good about it so far.
