I can’t seem to find the beans and brews off of 5400 S. and Redwood Road the brand-new one! I’m going to give this location five stars because of Valerie. I hope that is her name LOL! She is the most polite and kind individual I have ever met. I was having such a terrible day and she was so personable and friendly it was just it was a nice refresher after all the people I delt with today. She asked me why my day was crappy and she was very happy and positive telling me how to have a better night and to sleep it off and have a fantastic day tomorrow! It was very personable and she took her time to actually have a conversation with me. It wasn’t your average fast coffee house. You know the kind… get your drink and zoom off like a bat outta heck. I loved it! Not to mention she’s got cute style! I’ve been to this one a couple times and had nothing but great experiences fast and quick with the drinks and delicious! I know that this is a newer location but they have some awesome staff!

This place used to be one of my favs growing up, but I came here while I was in town because they are one of the very few coffee joints in UT that carry almond milk. I have to say I was super disappointed. The girls working there were nice, but they didn’t know what an Americano was. Get serious, you work in a coffee joint… Shouldn’t you at the very least know all of the 5 drinks on the menu? So, obviously I did not order the Americano. I decided to get a regular drip coffee with almond milk, cause how can you screw that up right?! Well, not only was my «hot» coffee luke warm, but the almond milk was old and chunky. Yeah. Wtf. Gross. I wanted something healthy to eat so I ordered oatmeal thinking… Oatmeal is basic and hard to screw up. Well, the only options they have are the pre-packaged Umpqua Oats which are packed with sugar and chemicals. The worker offered to «make it,» but the water she added wasn’t hot enough to cook the oats. I threw everything out. What a waste!

It’s 7pm right now. I just ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and they can’t make it because they turned off the oven!!! They close at 9pm! I asked her why they turned off the oven 2 hours before closing and she says because they don’t want to clean it after closing and they gotta let it cool down. An oven does NOT take 2 hours to cool down. So basically she«couldn’t» sell me the sandwich or anything that needed warming up. If I were the owner of this business I’d be furious. They’re refusing to SELL for the company just because they want to take short cuts. Very sad. It sucks to be eating a cold pastry and not what I actually wanted to buy. Not coming to this location again.

I frequent many Beans and Brews around the valley not because their coffee tastes good but because they are convenient and I would rather choose local over Starbucks. I actually had nothing to complain about his location until this morning, the service was really slow for 3 baristas and 2 customers, but the barista who made my drink, which is an iced coffee with an extra shot, didn’t leave enough room for ice after the shot and ended up pouring it out for more room. I confronted her about it and she said no. I can handle a bad cup of coffee if it includes good service but not having a staff that is just to lazy for good customer service is where I pull my business.

The workers are really nice, they are all very talkative. Hot chocolate and smoothies are great, I’m just not the biggest fan of their over priced pastry options. Come here often, but only because I live so close.

Not a fan of the drinks or prices at Beans and Brew. I found the vanilla latte to have a funky aftertaste, my brother said that is how their coffee tastes. So I guess I just need to go someplace else. Also I got a medium vanilla latte that was 4.80!!! That’s just insane.

Stopped by on an early morning quickie before heading to a convention downtown. Got my caffeine to-go, but it seemed like the interior would have been a good spot to sit for a few hours and crank out some work. Really great service, cheerful baristas, and a superb chai tea latte. Prices weren’t the cheapest, but I didn’t feel like I was overpaying — especially since I avoided the pastries. $ 2.50 for a cookie is definitely a no-go in my book. Stick to the drinks and it’ll be a budget-friendly experience. Friends who ordered the asiago bagels really enjoyed them.

I had the Chai Latte which seems to be the one drink everyone agrees is good so no complaints here. I also has their oatmeal which was pretty good for coffee shop boxed oatmeal but this place gets 4 stars from me for ambiance. It’s quiet, friendly service, clean and very welcoming to coffee shop dwellers like myself.

Once when trying to find a good coffee shop I measured this place with all others in the area and found it lacking. Now that my chosen coffee shop was run out of business by the coffee chains I came back in need of caffeine. At least I got a good reminder to keep looking for another coffee shop. The brew tasted burnt. Like when you leave a pot of coffee on a burner for half a day and then choke it down in desperation. Even the chocolate in the mocha couldn’t cover up the bad coffee. The service was a bit better than last time but I still feel like taking my order is a second priority to texting friends.

Gak! I know I’m in the minority, but I don’t like B & B, even a little. If you want one of their pre-made slushy concoctions it is served out of those old«Orange Bang» or «Horchata» machines. I’ve had the unfortunate task of disassembling and cleaning one of those machines before, at a different store, NOT at B &B, and I will NEVER drink anything from one again. What I saw in the gears and inner-workings of that machine is something I will never forget and something that wakes me, periodically, in a cold cold sweat! I hope that B and B cleans out those machines on a very regular basis, but I have no way of knowing and I’m not going to chance it. The worst thing about B and B, for my money, is the lack of consistency. I can order the same drink, from the same location, a few days later, and it will taste completely different than the previous one. I think each barista uses his/her own special technique so you never know what you’re gonna get!
