Art at the Main has been a staple at the main downtown library for years. It’s quite possibly the most accessible art gallery in the city in that people who wouldn’t make a trip just to visit an art gallery can walk by and if a piece catches their eye they can take a better look. I love being inspired by the wonderful local artists who showcase their pieces. It’s also great that the gallery is manned by the wonderful artists who have their pieces in the gallery so you can stop by and chat about the pieces and learn a bit more about the story behind the art. Perhaps my one and only complaint is that it is a small space and I’m always hesitant to go in(especially with my backpack) because I don’t want to bump in to something and then end up buying a piece of art that I can’t afford.

Cute little shop with small selection. A bit of a premium(but not too bad) since it’s located inside the Salt Lake City Library. The two times I was here I couldn’t find an unframed piece that I could carry back on the plane with me. There were some nice framed ones though for around $ 100.
