Every time I’m in town I hit this place and it has NEVER let me down. I might have been a bit harsh writing the original review — but I’m raising this place to 5 stars, because I can and I want to. They have the best pizza and the staff are always pretty cool too — and the beer — well it’s cold and they have good variety, but you really need to sample some of the deserts!

Best pizza in Salisbury, for sure. Lots of different options for pizza. Grey crust. Stone/brick oven baked pizzas make the flavor great. Staff is fun and quirky, very friendly. Lots of beer choices if you’re a beer drinker. Definitely a place you need to try if you haven’t been!

I have not had a brick oven pizza since I left Boston. This place is great and the pizza was delicious. I will go back again and again. Great selection of bears as well. Salad was very fresh. I just wish it had more tables. This place must fill up fast at peak hours.

The pizza is good. The sign in the women’s bathroom that proclaims«All activity monitored by video camera», not so much. I imagine this is someone’s attempt at humor but I think it’s inappropriate and classless.

It was a dark and rainy night, chain pizza was not going to work while the thunder and lightning rolled through the county. So, we turned to the internet for ‘options’. We found The Salty Caper and had heard the name from a neighbor once before. We decided to give a try and ordered a pepperoni and pineapple. We drove the few miles from our house through the storm and picked up the pizza. We brought it back and enjoyed it with root beer soda. Although a thin crust pizza, I thought it was good, my wife thought it was good and my dog Porthos thought it was good. It was certainly better than the mass advertised chain pizza places. I would recommend.

Great pizza and craft beer selection they only negative is the size of this place sometimes hard to find a seat but worth the wait if to have to for a table

An interesting taste of Salisbury. The brick oven pizza was the best in town and they have a ton of microbrews or lesser known beers to try from. Worth a visit.

Located in downtown Salisbury, Salty Caper is a must try if you are in the area. Great craft beers, the best pizza pies in town, and the most awesome group of dudes working there, too. AND they put the spinach on top of my pizza FRESH, something they wouldn’t do in Chicago. Their Sgabei is my absolute FAVORITE! Who doesn’t love deep fried dough?

Great artisan pizza. Cool little spot in Salisbury — definitely not to be missed. I really enjoyed the House pie, bbq chicken and prosciutto pizza(in that order). It’s a relatively small place so you may have to wait for a table. I don’t recommend going with more than 4 or so people as there aren’t that many tables that seat large parties. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is nice. Looking forward to going back here soon!

Tried to stop in at the brewery next door, but they were closed. Saw all the fantastic pizza reviews and decided to give this place a whirl. As it turns out, they(of course!) have beers from next door on tap. We lucked out and got a table right away, seating is extremely limited. You have to go to the counter to order, who knew? Pizza took about an hour. We ended up not taking our leftovers and this was the first time in a long time that I didn’t finish my beer. «Meh».

Tasty Pizza and nice craft beer selection but just not enough sitting on a Friday night is a big downside. They have patio seating in back but that does not help in the winter

A small, local pizza place that is a big surprise right in the heart of dowtown Salisbury. Awesome brick oven pizzas and craft beers on tap that change regularly. These guys clearly have a passion for what they do!

I would call this place kid friendly only on week nights, and then only if you are ok with a loud bar-like environment. Our two kids did fine, one 4 weeks miraculously slept through the entire dining experience, and 4 yo loved the pizza(plain cheese). We ended up spending around $ 55 for two premium beers and two large pizzas with the fried dough for desert. Seating is limited, however there are tables out back(which I would recommend weather permitting, as it looked quite enjoyable out there) We were traveling through on the way home from FL to VA. The friendly people at the table next to us were startled to discover we were from out of town. They said«you have discovered the best pizza around here» Thank you Unilocal, and thank you Unilocal reviewers!

Ok, so the seating is not the best but the pizza is worth the wait! Hubby & I love to go there. He enjoys the selection of brewery as well. We have never been disappointed in the food. The atmosphere is lively. I do recommend going early if you don’t want to wait to snag a table. There is extra seating outside & around back.

Again just awful service. There’s no system to getting a table. No servers or to table service per se. This restaurant is seemly staffed with Gen Xers too inept to graduate to pizza 2.0. Good food but, my God, these people are relegated to fried dough for a reason. We ordered breadsticks that were simply forgotten about for 45 minutes. When asked about said breadsticks the portly cashier simply replied«My bad.» After this we order pizzas to go(hoping this might expedite the process), instead I had to ask about pizzas after another 45 minutes and was told they«be out in a second.» Another 25 minutes pass and I ask about our order to be old that«there was a problem with the oven» and they were«making our pizzas right now.» After asking to cancel my order(as we’d been waiting almost an hour and half for two pizzas) one of the scraggly staff member said«fine, then you won’t get pizzas» and the cashier ever-so-unenthusiastic decided to give us our $ 3.00 breadsticks for free! I nearly shat in my own hat after the staff had been so nice and this token apology was just the topping on the non existent pizza that I did not get to eat. The only way you should eat here is if you happen to have a Mr. Fusion built into your Delorean and have enough banana peels to get up to 88mph and travel back in time to the year you’d actually like to eat their food and order it then.
