Salisbury is a good ol small town. It amazes me Duke Brown and his unethical practices can still be carried on. Bank should be banned from giving his name out as a recommended service provider. My daughter paid Duke to do a home inspection. Along with the inspection came a «quote» from Duke to do the repairs. She does not have to use Duke for the repairs however Duke will be the one signing off for the bank that the repairs are done to «his» standards. The house had water under it. Duke wrote it was from bad drainage. After I was under the house it was also from the leaking water pipes. Duke should have noticed the pipes were bad, that is major. That is why people pay for an inspection. After talking to locals it turns out Duke has story after story of unethical deals. One came from a Realtor where her client paid for the inspection and the repairs but found out Duke made up the need for repairs and never did anything. Duke was counting on the fact the home owner would never crawl under the house but he did. The Realtor said there is nothing the home owner could do. Advice was to sell the house and let it go. How does this stuff go on in such a small town.
