Cozy little coffee oasis on the Downtown Salisbury plaza. I ordered a dark roast drip coffee and upon tasting it was impressed. The Barista was outgoing and I will probably be returning. Right next door to a Japanese restaurant — so two of my favorite things close at hand (coffee & sushi).

My partner and I always make a point to visit this café when we are in town. Their coffee is divine and they actually offer non-​dairy options aside from soy and almond milk! Definitely pay this wonderful place a visit.

I had a great conversation with Jess, the barista while I was stretching from a long drive from New Jersey to Portsmouth, VA. Since I was used to stronger coffee, I had a nice regular pour-​over coffee and the tiny space was very cozy and comfortable despite the freezing weather.

Very nice place to stop for coffee when you are in the downtown area. It was very clean and cozy with a nice view out to the plaza. I was in the area for jury duty and it was told it was THE place to go. The house blend was very smooth, a good first choice. I will have to visit again and try a latte and I will certainly bring a book and stay a while.

Nate and the guys are running a top notch coffee shop downtown. They have snacks and tea, too! Love the smoothies. they are always friendly, and keep a good vibe going on at da roots. Last but not least– bicycle friendly!!! What else could you ask for?

Outstanding service, great cappuccino! I wish I lived near this place because they would have all of my business! The atmosphere is great, nice location near the river, and the staff makes the place worth visiting. I will be back as often as possible.

This is a great addition to the downtown area. They have excellent products and excel in every area of the coffee shop industry. The only draw back is, it would be awesome if they could be open on Sunday. Would be great to have another brunch option for a Sunday morning as Salisbury sadly lacks in this area. The owners and staff are always friendly and willing to provide fantastic service with expediency and high proficiency.
Salisbury Chambers needs to gain more businesses like this one and stop charging for parking in the downtown area in order to keep drawing customers to the area.

Although it sounds cliché, a coffee shop should always be very good at one thing; coffee. Main Roots excels at this principal with well-​made lattes, unique pour-​overs, and solid regular brew.
Main Roots also offers sandwiches at a great value, as well as Umpqua oatmeal and various other baked goods. They seem eager to continue adding to the menu.
Atmosphere is clean and simple. Nice music is usually playing, and there’s a tv. Live music occasionally (check their Facebook).
Staff is excellent. The owners are always there so you know you’ll get the best experience.
Located downtown between the sushi place and recording studio, Main Roots is a welcome addition to the Plaza and Salisbury alike.
