First time visiting this gem in Salisbury. My mom and I decided to get sushi for the evening, I lived in Hawaii for many years and miss the fresh seafood very. This place was very delicious. The service was very prompt, the place was very clean, and everyone was very friendly especially considering I had a screaming a newborn who decided to act up at the exact moment we were going for dinner. We had about four rolls that we split between the two of us and I thought the bill was a very adequate at only $ 47. Everything was a very fresh down to the ginger, it was just delicious! We will definitely be trying this place again in the near future.

Best sushi in Salisbury imo. A little pricey but worth it. Good customer service

I have eaten sushi at the restaurant many times along with having takeout greater than 50 times. I have also taken working colleagues from Japan to the restaurant and they always give high praise. The food is consistently very good. The restaurant has a great staff and service, always clean, along with a nice décor. Highly recommended.

Went for dinner before my son’s graduation. Excellent sushi and sashimi. Best yellowtail sashimi we had ever had. Exterior not much, but the interior is nicely decorated. Beautiful serving boats built by the owner. Delicious!

I love Ikebana; the sushi and menu is great. The fish is fresh and has a wonderful taste. The servers are friendly and helpful and I’m always greeted by the manager. The only reason it’s not getting 5 stars from me is that while the servers are friendly, the service is SLOW. And I mean S.L.O.W. So slow. Every time I come in I expect it to be different, but it never changes. It won’t stop me from going because the food is excellent, but I will never go if I have a time constraint.

Always a great experience for us. The food is always fresh, and skillfully made. The staff is attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere is perfect to enjoy your guest’s company, with soft music. We have been going there for over a decade, and learned it was a family run restaurant and it shows. If you take the time to learn the menu, this place is a great value– if you don’t you will buy their high priced food. This place has something for almost everyone. We have compared most sushi restaurants in the area, but have found that not one favorably compares with this one. You can pay more for food that is just as good but the wait staff will not be.

I really like this place, when ever I want sushi this is the first place that comes to mind. The reason I give this place 4 stars is because when I go during dinner I feel that I wait longer than any other place and that they may be a little understaffed for dinner. Other than that classy place, great sushi and very clean. BTW Best sushi I ever had is there volcano roll, spicy and really tasty.

Extremely overrated and sub par service. Very disappointed. Came here on a Monday cause sushi de kampi was closed and I had heard this place was ok. Server was not very knowledgeable and forgot to put my order in and blamed it on the computer. Then after waiting for quite a while I got my two rolls, both of which were wrong. I asked the server if it was in fact correct and he said yes. I ate it anyway cause I hate to waste food. The rolls as is were lack luster and nothing special taste wise. Then when I got the check I was charged for the more expensive wrong rolls I ate but didn’t order. After pointing it out the server adjusted the check yet offered no discount or anything other than a «sorry» Will not return here folks.

What a lovely place off the beaten path. We discovered this sushi restaurant(thank you, Unilocal) while returning to the D.C. area from a camping weekend at Assateague Island. Sushi beckoned, and we heeded the call. Not to disparage Salisbury, Md., which is not an insignificantly-sized town, but we were pleasantly surprised with the creativity, artfulness of presentation, quality of fish, and medley of flavors at Ikebana. If you find yourself near Salisbury, for quality sushi, warm and friendly service at a family-owned restaurant, and relaxing décor, we recommend Ikebana.

This place is overrated. I’ve never been to a Japanese restaurant where they were out of udon noodles. Then when we ordered something else from the menu they told us that they didn’t make that anymore. I’ve been here a few times and the sushi isn’t great. The rolls fall apart when you pick it up with your chopsticks which is usually not a very good sign. Save the time and don’t bother with this place.

WONDERFUL! Went there for lunch, and the server was very attentive despite being the only server on with six tables. Bi Bim Bob was incredible as well. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!

It was Ok, in town from TX and was excited to find a highly rated sushi joint. Deluxe roll tasted bland with a fake crab taste. I did really enjoy the sake sangria with fresh fruit. Service a bit slow for one of 3 tables occupied. Overall surprised and disappointed that Dallas sushi is much better.

I really like it here. I have eaten here about 30 times between take-out and going in to eat and it’s always been a great experience. Consistent. Quick. I usually order Spicy Tuna Rolls or Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box.

Great spot. The specialty rolls are delicious and well sized for the price. Decent prices, and interesting sake cocktails added to the experience. Friendly and accommodating staff are willing to please. I will be back.

Went for valentines with my wife and had a great time. The atmosphere is romantic with perfect lighting and soft music. The miso soup was decent and the salad was fresh but was all iceburg lettuce. Not a huge negative but I didn’t eat the whole salad when I typically do at most Japanese steak houses. I got the hibachi filet mignon and it was amazing! The beef was tender and melted in your mouth. The vegetables were good but could have had less onions. The rice was fabulous as well as the two dipping sauces. Overall I highly recommend this place. Service was fast and attentive. A great place for a date and good food.

So far, I’ve been to Ikebana twice and I’ve been really happy both times. I’ve never had any of the warm entrees or appetizers, though. Yesterday, I really appreciated their miso soup since it was the day of the epic snow storm. I think theirs has a bit more flavor than most I’ve had elsewhere. As far as the sushi goes, they have a really wide variety here. Everything is very very fresh and the prices aren’t too bad for what you get. I haven’t tried too many of the rolls, but I got their special roll last night and it was excellent. Surprisingly, I also really enjoyed the quail egg over flying fish roe, something I normally wouldn’t order on principle along(raw egg over roe? hmm). I tried two of their cocktails as well: the Sumo Slammer and the Purple Saketini. Both were fantastic. My boyfriend ordered the gigantic can of Asahi and although you might be reluctant to pay $ 8 for a can of beer, it is 33.8 oz… it should last you the whole meal and then some. Personally, I really like the décor here. It’s simple, but they have some lovely lanters and vases decorating the walls and little bamboo plants on each table. I think it’d be great to take a date here. I’ll definitely be coming back!
