In the morning, expect to be sitting in the street waiting to enter because the drive-thru is generally backed up causing a bottleneck. The recently revised placement of the drive-thru menu board was not carefully laid out. Depending on the day you arrive, the price may vary and I don’t know why. I’m a consistent return customer to this location. If I order the same meal every day — example #5, the price may be different the following day. The #5 order picture shows a plain bagel, egg, cheese, with bacon. When I approach the speaker at the drive thru, I will ask for the #5 but hold the cheese. More often, by the time I eat the order, which is several miles down the road, it will be not what I ordered. It may be a bagel sandwich with cheese or a sandwich without the bacon, or some other meat. Or, the sandwich will be on a croissant. Therefore, there is a problem with whomever is taking the order at the drive-thru that day, whether they aren’t paying attention to what is being ordered or they simply forgot the order, even though the computer says exactly what they entered when I placed the order through the speaker. Why get it mixed up? My gripe is with the communication problems, attention to detail or lack thereof — all at the drive-thru window. Do they need more training? Do they need a better computer system to tell what the order is? Is there a better system in place where they won’t get the order incorrect. If you go to any other local restaurant’s drive-thru, chances are 99% of the time your order will be correct. But at this Dunkin Donuts location, the odds of receiving an incorrect order at the window are much more likely, so say 65−70% of the time you’ll get an incorrect order if you are a regular customer, like I am. The thing I feel for the workers at this restaurant is that they are required to work holidays. Years ago, I remember the only restaurant open on Thanksgiving Day was a Chinese restaurant. Now most every restaurant is open. This store is open all the time. Good for the consumer but not good for the employee. Faces change here often, and chances are you’ll find that person at another location either locally or in a different city. It is not uncommon to see a different face for every visit. They try to make the visit pleasant though.
