I ordered a sample dress online from this store. Despite not buying a full-priced dress, Monica treated me well and made sure to respond when she was away from the salon. She used PayPal at my request and used delivery confirmation. Also, even though it was a sample dress, there were no signs of wear. I am satisfied with my purchase.

My aunt saw a write-up of this boutique in the Salisbury newspaper. She brought it by to me to take a look at, as I’m getting married next March. It looked like a nice shop that carried designer gowns. We were out looking in the Rowan and Cabarrus County area about a month ago. I mentioned stopping by this boutique but since we were Landis I thought I should give a call before stopping in. The lady that answered the phone was very pleasant and told us to stop in as it wasn’t busy. I told her we’d be there in about 20 minutes. When we arrived there was only one lady, the owner, who I assume answered the phone, working. She was helping someone else so we figured they must have just stopped in, as well. We browsed around. The boutique is on a corner in downtown Salisbury. It’s a beautiful shop, inside and out. She had some nice dresses but not a lot ot choose from. I’d say there were maybe 30 dresses in the store. She carried Angel Rivera and Simone Carvalli to name a couple. We browsed for maybe 10 minutes as she was still busy helping the other ladies. I asked her if I could try a couple dresses on I liked and she said, «No, I have to help you». So we waited some more. Before trying on anything I had to fill out paperwork giving my name, groom’s name, address, wedding date, and phone number. I’m not crazy about this idea but I went with it anyway. She asked me what my budget was and said 5. She said, I’m sorry, I should have asked on the phone but we don’t carry anything in that price range. I said five thousant dollars? She said, I’m sorry, I thought you meant five hundred. She just sort of had this snooty attitude, which was really not necessary. It’s not impressive nor does me make me think any more of her business. We picked out and tried on five or six gowns. She insisited on coming in the room with me and putting the dress on me. I’m a 34 year old woman, btw. I understand these are expensive gowns and it’s customary to be dressed in some of the more upscale salons. I appreciate assistance but I’d rather not have anyone go in the room and dress me, it just feels awkward and uncomfortable. I really liked one of the Simone Carvelli dresses but not quite as much as I liked a Modern Trousseau gown I tried on in Charlotte that was less expensive. She asked if there was anything else I liked and I told her I really liked the mermaid/fit and flare type of dress. I asked her why she didn’t have more gowns. She might have had 10 of these type of dresses in her entire store. She mentioned how expensive they were, then abruptly ended our appointment, wrote down the information on a card from the dress and we left. This is the most disappointing bridal shop visit I’ve had. I don’t expect to have the red carpet pulled out for me but when I’m spending several thousand on a gown I do expect kindness and courtesy.
