Ticino at 201 Main

Came in this morning and had an excellent latte. Perfect temperature, with perfectly brewed coffee and foamy milk.
I was doing work through lunch and was able to see how they handled the lunch crowd. From what I saw, everyone got their drinks and food within ten minutes.
The staff was very kind, but didn’t hover. I found it a great place to meet and get work done.

Don’t plan on getting a quick sandwich/​salad at the walk up counter. The concept is great, however, with inexperienced employees who have to read the menu board to see how to make the sandwich, and then not having the ingredients to make it, is very disappointing.
I have been there 4 times for an early lunch, and they are out of something every time. No salad dressing for the asian salad, no croutons, no cheese, no bread… and this is at 11:30 am. Please start prepping better, and training your employees. The food is good, if you can get it.

I go here once or twice a week to get their yummy fun coffee drinks! Smores is my favorite but they have a variety! The food is local and organic and it’s so cute inside with a nice patio! Love this place!

There big, fresh and roomy which kinda translates to quieter for me. Good.
A good vibe from the staff. You don’t feel rushed or lurked over. Good.
So all that being said it’s a new business in Salinas… time will tell.

Really like the atmosphere of this place and the food and coffee is pretty good. I’m glad they do pour over coffee there.

AMAZING coffee, food, and staff! Very comfortable atmosphere. I’m here almost daily and never disappointed! I definitely recommend Ticino to everyone!

No more starbucks for me! Love the cofee, friendly staff, and great danishes. I would recommend stopping by!!!

Great vibe and ambience. Still a work in progress though. Lunch service was slow, salad with edamame was prepared with less than fresh greens and missing the edamame! Ruben panini was ok, could use more sauerkraut and some mustard.

This is a great new spot in Oldtown Salinas! The ambience is laid back, and the coffee is good! I appreciate the food too, the paninis are pretty tasty for lunch.
Not sure why, but their staff seems a little incompetent. They sure don’t know their «stuff». But hopefully that will change in time

Ticino served me what may have been the best Latte I’ve had as of yet! Great atmosphere, friendly staff who took the time to chat… the smell of fresh baked goods, priced well… prob my new coffee spot!

Well, I went for lunch with a friend two days ago. The line had about 4 people a head of us ordering, then it took another 20 minutes until we got to place our order. We both ordered sandwiches, my friend got a «Build your Own Sandwich» which consisted of Turkey, Bread, Cheese; include a Bag of Chips for 10 bucks. This sandwich took 20 minutes to make and be delivered.
I ordered a Pre-​made Panini Sandwich from the Deli Case and mine took 35 minutes to just get toasted and delivered for around 7 bucks no chips.
The price point is on the High side for what you are getting. Tasted good, but not Wow.
My suggestions is to develop a better work flow, from ordering to delivery. Some of the customers might need to get back to work and having only 5 to 10 minutes to eat might pose a problem. Also, my friend is wary of workers that do not have their hair pulled back, the girl working had big unkempt curly hair that was a little gross.
A couple of the workers were getting things moving and the others have their «Heads in the Clouds», admiring the architecture.
*Sideline Hint: The club down stairs is slated to come online in the future. I’m hearing this will be a cross between Hippodrome fused with a little Mucky Duck. Though I like my share of club nights in the city. My crystal ball is foreseeing future problems. «Keep it Classy and not Trashy»

I came. I ordered. I watched others eat for 15 minutes. I asked after my sandwich. Fifteen minutes later, i left with my money back and a half baked apology.
I will stick to the places that want my business.

Only one panini press so don’t expect to receive your panini within five minutes. Had my friend wait over 40 minutes to get hers.
Another reason for the long wait is that they get the orders and place the receipts randomly on a table and then pick and chose which order they will do first; unfortunately my friend’s order was ignored for a while.
If this place wants to improve and have a lot of people coming back then they need to at least get one more panini press and change how they send out paninis. I will go back later and give it another chance.
