Kings Den has been around for along time. One of the oldest bars in town. It recently went through a change in ownership. Having visited from old to new, I can say it’s been the bar in Salinas I’ve had the most fun at. I have to point out that most bar tenders only pay attention to the patrons directly in front of them. Robin looks beyond that! She will ask patrons far across the bar what they would like to drink! I’ve never seen that before! It definitely fits the rocker, indy and hipster demographic! You will love it! This is the place to be! My new fav place. Even one the bartenders will sing karaōke! A force to reckon with!

Met some fun old dudes. I met a guy was for The Azores islands. Its this little string of island dead center of the Atlantic. funny guy.
Well any way. Cash only, nothing on tap and they share a restroom with a Chinese joint next door.

I love this bar. It’s a dive bar, but t’s a really fun bar. The bartenders are nice, the people are nice, the drinks are strong, karaōke and dancing. For Salinas… this is legit. Only bumer is that it’s cash only. I didn’t 5 star it because it’s a dive bar.

This place is for reals the ultimate overall MEH as far as location, ambiance and crowd. ULTIMATE dive bar fo sho! BUT despite the above, their drinks are so so strong. One of my favorites would be their Kamikaze shot. Also, if you like mixed drinks, ask for the CHITO SPECIAL. (provided the bartender named Chito is working) haha! It’s like a coconut pineapple drink and super bomb!

So, a friend put it best: this would be a good setting for cold case to be filmed. They don’t have anything on tap, and they only take cash. If you want a date with a truck driver however, this is a perfect place to meet one. If you want to sing black velvet in front of a crowd and not feel embarrassed, then this is even more perfect. If I ever get divorced and become an alcoholic, I will become a regular.
