Deliciously fresh, delicate, delectable donuts. If you’re in the area don’t miss this spot. If you’re on the highway, get off and go to Prunedale Donuts and Bakery. The bagels are the best I have ever had. They are big and fluffy, not dense. The coffee is fresh. The price is perfect and you’re supporting the local economy. This business is cash only.

WOW– one of the best donut shops I’ve been to in a while, and I’ve been to my share of donut shops. I saw the high reviews for Prunedale and stopped by on a drive down to Paso Robles to pick up breakfast. Waze gave us weird directions and steered us to another plaza across the street from here, but we eventually figured it out and got to the right place. We came in around 10am and they had customers enjoying their donuts inside, but no line. It didn’t seem like they had sold out of anything yet, so we got to order from their full variety. We tried: –Original Glazed($ 0.85, ): Just ok, and the only donut we were disappointed it. It wasn’t too sweet, which was nice, but nothing unique. It probably would have tasted better reheated a bit, but I probably wouldn’t get this again. –Glazed Old Fashioned($ 0.85, ): Delicious– I loved the super crispy/crunchy exterior of the donut, and that the interior was still fluffy. It was a little on the sweet side, but still really really good– highly recommended! –Maple Bar($ 1.00, ): WOW– a must order! This is one of the best maple bars I’ve had in a while. The maple icing was delicious, and the perfect amount of sweetness. However, what really made this donut special was how light and airy it was– just like eating a cloud. GETTHISDONUTNOW! I will definitely be back for more maple bars and glazed old fashioneds if I’m passing by or in the area. The apple fritters also looked delicious so will have to give those a try as well. Parking was easy since the lot is big.

Best maple bars ever… so fresh and they never leave that yucky film on the roof of your mouth. I agree with others… bagels are great. Owners are so sweet! I highly recommend!

This place has the best bagels they are light and fluffy like a croissant. The donuts and donut holes are also very good. I go here on a weekly basis, I love it! The owners are really nice and always remember me when I come in. The only bad thing is that they don’t take credit cards. Don’t forget your cash when you come here.

Hands down the BEST donuts and bagels in prunedale! If u get there early in the morning when they’re warm it’s the best! They should be charging way more for how great they are. I’ve never been disappointed.

That was a delicious bagel — and I eat a lot of bagels— courteous staff and friendly behind the counter — I had a very California pastrami bagel sandwich and a sausage egg cheese croissant and a plain bagel. Good job — yummy!

First review because I felt compelled to let everyone know how awesome this little hole in the wall place is. I have to agree with previous reviewers. Best bagels I’ve ever had. They can toast it for you and almost melts in your mouth. The donuts are also great. They are always light and fluffy, never greasy or over fried. We don’t live in the area but always a destination point whenever we drive by on 101.

Sunday morning at 7AM and two out of the four donuts they sold me were clearly from yesterday. Thankfully, when I got home there was a fresh cup of coffee waiting for me to dunk the dried out hockey pucks into. No crumb donuts or twists. Not going back.

These people are so nice. They get to know you so quick and they always remember you when you come back. I love their donuts. I think they are better than Krispy Kreme(and Randy’s in Inglewood, Ca.) They are really the best donuts I’ve ever had. Their cake donuts are so, so good, light & crispy on the outside, soft & moist on the inside. I always go for the pink cake donuts which they really never have but when I ask for it they glaze it right on the spot! So good! But ALL their donuts are great, bagels too. I’ve had their donuts as next day-day olds for left overs, and they are still marvelous.

This place makes the absolute best bagels I’ve ever had! They are soo fresh, crunchy, large but soft on the inside. You can tell they were just made. Seriously, they are the best! My wife and I make it a point to come here every Sunday. The donuts and bars are also very good. You get a sneak peak as to how they glaze them, as that part of the shop is visible to customers. The owners are very nice and always greet us warmly. Its immediately apparent that people love this place and are very fond of the bakers. The only thing I don’t like is that they are cash only. As someone who makes it a point to never carry cash, this gets somewhat cumbersome and I need to stop by the atm every time I go. By the way, the donuts and bagels are ridiculously cheap. Get there early, because EVERYTHING runs out. Although they bake through out the day, they have a hard time meeting demand.

I stopped in this small town bakery as part of a pitstop, and boy was I impressed with the doughnuts. The doughnuts in the display case had frosting just dripping off. I got an old fashioned maple doughnut for $.75, yum it was so good and so fresh! While I was enjoying my doughnut, some of the locals came in and it was interesting to listen to their interactions. One person came in to pay down their«doughnut» bill from the other day, which made me smile because its that small town feel where everyone knows everyone.
