Hair & Make-Up By Roberto

Went to Roberto for the first time a couple months ago, and I was really impressed. My appointment was for a haircut at 4:30. We started on time and I was out the door by 5:15. Roberto is friendly and very talented. I love my hair and will definitely be going back!

Roberto is so great! Listens to what you want, is super friendly, and has great ideas and talent! He is in Castroville half of the week and Salinas the other half!

I tried to make an appointment to get ambre done in salinas but unfortunately he’s at his Castroville salon, but I admire how genuine he is and not about the money but to makesure you are satisfied and work with you and not go against you nor the intentions to damage your hair, obviously his work is amazing from the pictures posted here, which is what caught my attention, & this is all from trying to make an appointment over the phone :)

This guy is the BEST! He gave me the best haircuts and color. I’ve moved many times and have paid expensive haircuts but no one came close to Roberto’s services. I have been back more than 4x and always leave a very happy and satisfied customer.

First impression with Roberto, phone call was excellent he was very informative and explained he style of his business and we set up a consultation with in 2 – 3 business days. The business is kept very clean and organized. Great safe location plenty of parking and cool women shops near by. My appointment was at 4pm we started right on time, I showed my stylist what I was think and wanting with a few screen shots from Google ;). We collaborated and had a clear direction of what my appointment out come would be, Just a cut. (For now;) The price is very reasonable for the great quality of work and skills this man has! Wash/​cut/​and styled I’m in love with my hair again. It’s very hard to find someone in salinas that can cut my hair the way I like and listen to my hair needs. I’m going back for a color change for sure and hopefully I will have a new stylist for my 6 week trims. Love love my stylist!!!

Roberto has cut my hair and also done an ombré and I loved it. I do t even live in the same city, but over two hours away and I see Roberto when I can! On top of that he’s authentic and funny, by virtue of his raw authenticity.

This place used to be owned by a lady named Gina, she had another employer. I’ve had both of them do my hair and was not happy with the results of neither one. Gina left my hair chopped and crooked, the other lady was way off from what I wanted, needless to say I never came back.
But then I heard the place had new owners so I stopped by, and I have to say I loved my haircut. I am so happy Roberto took over, he is a true artist. The most important part was that Roberto the new owner listens to what you want, he gave me a fabulous long layered haircut.
I also love that he sells tons of goodies, products you can’t find anywhere else unless you go to a specific store or order online. I also really loved the straightener he used on me, and he was so helpful when I had questions about products like straighteners and blow dryers. He gave me his opinion and why.
I want to return because there is a lady who does shellac nails and she is very talented, she does very nice designs on your nails.

Roberto has been my stylist for many years. I live in San Francisco and make the drive to Salinas to get my hair cut by Roberto. There’s no one else I’d rather have styling my hair. The guy knows what he’s doing… simply the best!

Days after getting an awful ombré done by another stylist in Salinas who shall remain anonymous, I was desperate for a color & placement correction. I called Roberto, and he was able to see me the very next day. He truly worked miracles on my ugly two-​tone mane! He does amazing work! Look at my before & after picture, and see for yourself. :)

Miss M … hate much? Anyways I’ve been going to Roberto for 12 years now that alone should say something about how Awesome of a hair dresser he is, he’s the best. His prices are ALWAYS affordable and all of my friends, and acquaintances I know who have had their hair done by him are always more than happy and keep their business at his salon. His location is perfect and the salon is always clean and even when I don’t have an appointment he always finds a way to fit me in. I get compliments on my cut and color very often and i am more than happy to share with the people who ask where I get it done.

I love Roberto’s work! I have been a faithful customer for over 8 years! Everyone that I have referred many and ALL have been satisfied with his work (hair & makeup). ;) I walk away each time I get my hair done feeling like a million $$$!

Roberto is a great stylist with tons of experience! He is always fun to talk to so it’s like places where you are bored and about to fall asleep.
My hair cuts always come out amazing! I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
PLUS, prices are very affordable!
And he now carries Hair Food for $ 20 which makes my hair feel healthy and look shiny!

Roberto is amazing! He gives me the best cuts and does amazing color! His prices are definately affordable for the quality of work he does.
I was recently referred to him by a friend so I’ve only been twice but am extremely happy with how he does my hair.
I’d say out of all the haircuts I’ve ever had, his are the BEST!

Ok, this guy is a COMPLETE RIP OFF. First time I made an appointment, he didn’t show up.
Second time, we did a consultation and he told me to dye my hair it would be $ 80.
So I’m thinking, yeah good deal.
His ASSISTANT dyed my hair. The color came NO WHERE NEAR where I wanted it to. I was completely unhappy.
and he charged me $ 105.
Ok, I’m pissed with my beyond damaged hair and wrong colors so I call him and tell him so he can redo it, and he told me «It’s not my problem.» Click.
Sooooo unprofessional.
Anyway, my hair color was ABSOLUTELY GONE after a week, (yes I had hair color protectant shampoo and conditioner) so please take your money and business or buy boxed dye which will last you two months for only $ 8.
