This place is ok I’m with the one star club and I’ll tell you why… Like one of the Unilocalers posted the lady’s that work down stairs need more PR training. Because they are good at security they eye F*#! You make you feel like your filling your pockets and your gonna run off with goods without paying… Well anyways they are a little over priced with all of their items and like I commented in one of Unilocalers review. I do paracord bracelets and I buy skulls. So I asked one of their employees if they had any and she told me that the owner was kinda superstitious… OOOKAY so I told her well If they are superstitious then don’t they know that MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL… LMAO!!! So there I casted a spell on you lol

Fabrics is the main reason I shop here. You’ll need to head to the 2nd floor (there is an elevator). They have a wide assortment of fabrics. For quilters, lots of cottons and some batiks as well as flannel. You cannot go wrong by shopping here on a Friday. Their section of flat folds are 50% off the regular price. You are welcome for this great tip.

I’m surprised by the low ratings. I love this store. It’s Disneyland for my creative alter ego. It is a little pricey. I found the staff to be helpful, if you engage them first.

Okay the new floors are nice, some of their home décor and crafty stuff is cool but the older ladies that work downstairs are darn rude! Not friendly at all. Though the lady upstairs who cuts fabric is nice and knowledgeable.
The old crabby ladies downstairs tend to size you down, ignore the customer. I been trying to give them several chances but it looks like that how that fabric store wants to run their business. I rather drive to Santa Cruz or Soquel to get better service. If the don’t like to help people then its best for them to work in the stock room and not take a customer service position.

I enjoy shopping at Beverly’s Fabrics. Staff is sweet and kind. There store might be small but everything is organized and neatly in place. When I cant find something I kindly ask for assistance and the employees are kindly enough to help right away.

Ok I love the products and crafts although I do believe some items could be overpriced. I love using the coupons, but the staff oh that’s a different story, they are so rude!!! Well most of thrones I have dealt with for years, the newer staff seems.

This is for the sewing class.
I signed up for the sewing class and during the introduction the instructor asked why we decided to take the class. I gave my reason which was I wanted to start making custom slacks for my husband. The instructor said that was not a good reason to take her class. Some other lady said she had 3 sons but was taking the class to make hair scrunchies for little girls. The instructor told her that was an awesome idea.

Great selection of fabrics unfortunately their customer service is not good at all. I asked for help finding a fabric I purchased yesterday and the person who was there walked around the floor for literally 10 seconds (in the wrong section) and then told me they sold out even though it was a full spool less than 24 hours ago. When I asked what they do with the fabric after they cut some for a customer she said they usually put it back but she said «I don’t know what happened to the fabric because I wasn’t here yesterday».

There are three Beverly’s stores in the Monterey Bay area; the others are in Monterey and Soquel. I go there for the last vestiges of what used to be a good fabric store. I prefer the Salinas store because the fabric is upstairs, separate from the crafts, in which I have little interest. The upstairs area is light and open; I find the downstairs dark and claustrophobic. Selection-​wise, fabric is very limited unless you are a quilter, as it is at most so-​called fabric stores these days. There is a passable selection of trims, laces, ribbons and notions.

I am always incredibly impressed with the staff and the selection at Beverly’s Monterey, CA. Whenever I start any craft project I start there first and if I can’t find what I need there is always some wonderful staff member who will find it for me. I love the furniture too and guess what they will deliver it if it won’t fit in your car. New manager Todd is great, Gloria the framer is the best and Zondra the designer can’t be beat

How do I describe the store? I can do that. They DONT take electronic coupons, don’t have them in the store either. Apparently from the reviews they are selective about WHO receives good customer service if any at all. Good quality merchandise, interesting unique items, poor customer service even to those of us who have been going there for years! Can’t wait for the new Michael’s to open.

I can barely find any good help at this store! I like coming here but really, there is no good customer service like there was when I was a child coming here with my Mom and Grandma. Upstairs customer service is good but downstairs… where I believe Paula sits at the cash register… please put on a smile.
I went to the Monterey store a few days later to get more items and was in Monterey due to work and I was greeted and helped out in an instant!

I honestly believe that the hiring process for Beverly’s sales associate positions is a rigorous process in which prospective hires are placed through a battery of tests and assessments in order to determine who is truly rude enough to actually work there.

thought i walked into a michaels, which is cool, it would be a few blocks from home. but man those women in there were rude. didnt look up to greet me, didnt have what i needed and didnt try to help in any way to find where i could get one. Do they not want my return business?

I have been to this Beverly’s several times. I usually only go for fabrics even though they offer tons of other craft supplies.
This last time I was looking for pellon and they had quite a few varieties. In other instances the fabrics they have are available in a variety of options so I have always been fortunate to get what I’m looking for.
THEY DO NEED TO WORK ON their costumer service. I have witnessed the staff be rude to costumers when the costumers have been rude. Call me old fashioned but I don’t think working at a fabric store is the place to teach people how to behave. You kind of just roll with the punches.

I received a response from the President of Beverly’s Fabric promising that the manager of this store would contact me. It’s been over a month and I have heard nothing. As I stated before, I will not be going back to this store, I was going to give them a second chance after I was contacted by the president but it seems as if this store is just not professional.

I come here at leaste 3 times a month, im very crafy and i make alot of different things. they have alot of cute fabric and tons of other stuff! They sell alot of good books with great ideas… alot of the ladys have worked there for years and they are super nice… they have ongoing sueing classes and also alot of good crafts ideas!!! IM IN LOVE with this store!!!
